Not a word about this in the election from Hot Air Pierre, but now your conservative rag has an opinion since India is no longer funding the election for your man. Not that I disagree that immigration in Canada is a broken mess, but now that pp mentioned it this week you’re blowing his horn. 🤔

I have never liked Trudeau, for me he is a huge hot air baloon, but this speach is brilliant, if he follows through with his promissis I´m with him.

If India is the 5th biggest economy then why r its citizens going abroad. This 5th biggest economy just seems like full of hot air and immigration of its citizens suggests they r poor looking for a better country ?

I immigrated to Canada in 1981 because I married a Canadian I should say French Canadian girl and it was just a better place for her to continue on with her background. We relocated to Ottawa which is bilingual and made it very easy for both of us to assimilate together. I moved back to the USA in 2006 to help my sick brother and move back again to Canada in 2016. I came back for many reasons. The political Edge in the united states, the guns out of control, the increased crime rate daily, in just too many people everywhere. Now I was living in the Tampa Bay area and a lot of the people come from out of state and out of country especially in the winter to spend their cold months in the sunshine. Some things I miss in the United States comes usually down to the cost of living. Unless you get sick. And I miss living by the Gulf of Mexico. Except during hurricane season. I prefer living in Canada only because it's a slower easier paced social environment. It has nowhere near the political stress that the United States has where it can almost be violent. Actually, where it has been violent. Revisit January 6th. Out of control guns with hot-headed men mostly can force you out as well and back to Canada. Canada's social structure and environment supersedes the United States tenfold. And of course as we get older, Healthcare is a priority. I'm thankful there's a place like Canada close to where I was born or I can spend the rest of my life enjoying it as opposed to looking over my shoulder constantly. I also find that Canadians have a huge appreciation of warm months. So many people are outside even when they are eating at restaurants. Because of the warmer months are so short, Canadians really take advantage of enjoying it and those months are never taken for granted. Winters in Ontario, like here in Ottawa, can be very cold once January and February come around. But once you make it into the middle of march, you can almost smell spring in the air and somewhere on the way. But there are those dreaded 8 weeks of oh my God ?

I see a lot of (what I assume is MAGA) crying about confusing illegal and legal. Clearly this video was mostly about illegal. Seems like MAGA victimhood seeking, as per usual ? Also note the massive run-up in Trump's 1st term in encounters (tripled from 2017-2019) ? He was only saved by COVID collapsing the economic drive for illegal immigration. And even then, most of the run-up post COVID lockdown was in place by Jan 2021 ( 3:30 ). So he does not have a great 1st term record, despite the hot air. Let's see this time, will be interesting to have the massive military deployment needed to detain, intern and eventually deport the 12m or so total ? Note again how that number has been basically constant over very slightly declining since 2005 see at 4:15 . Hmm, manufactured crisis? ???? Can't wait for the induced Trump inflation. ? The other opportunity for Canada is to air lift thousands of Latin American suffering in hot arid climate of Mexico/Texas border..

Word of caution, in regards to climate , too hot is worse than too cold.....if you end up somewhere without air-conditioning , it is going to be much worse then having access to heating in winter.....been there , so I know :) Another comment, try to separate religion from politics,. If you were born in Canada, you might not be fully aware of the difference between democratic and non-democratic societies. Religion only is not enough to make you happy, and having two girls and willing to risk their rights, require at least a conversation with someone that knows more about it. I have my own experiences and it seems to me that you idealize societies in which these rights are non-existent . You are right, Canada has become a very different country than it was when I first got here, but is still far cry from where you are planning to go. Beware of things that people are not saying , and have your due diligence done for the sake of your children.

Thanks for the video. Winter can be tough. But you can always put more clothes on in winter and go outside even when its -30 degrees. When its over +40 degrees, and hot you can't take off enough clothes and go outside. You are stuck in the air conditioning.

Good solid takes on life in Canada as it stands in the larger cities. My family immigrated in the late 80s when I was a young child to YYZ and the housing prices and quality of living was really solid back then. We moved to YVR in the late 90s and prices seemed to be pretty stable as well. Think things started to change shortly after my undergrad years in the mid 2000s. Unfortunately, the government wanted to increase immigration which is great, but forgot to build out the transportation infrastructure and develop the health care system properly. Foreign credential recognition is really the biggest bottleneck for newcomers. Newcomer employment expectations and what is available to them is not really matching up, I know this first hand as I've worked in the employment enabling sector. Weather as you mentioned is subjective, I prefer the cold, clean crisp air here in Canada, I don't do well in the hot humid polluted weather in most East and Southeast Asian countries. Crime has definitely been on the rise as many people around me have had personal experiences with this topic. Finally housing, to live comfortably in YVR a family income of 150K is probably bare minimum these days.

My point of view....\nIn Canada no language barrier as compared to Europe. If you can communicate in English then it's very comfortable in Canada.\nEveryone is very hardworking, their weddings are simple.\nThey don't spend too much on clothes.....no show off.\nWe need to be more adaptable. \nNot to fuss to much over the food. Another thing immigrants should know before they come to canada. They say canada is a cold country. That's true. But they should also know, the weather can be cold and/or windy and/or cloudy and/or rainy and/or overcast and/or very hot and/or very humid. Also the weather can change very quickly. It's not unusual for the weather to change every 2 hours or 4 hours. A few nights ago, the temp was ok for sleeping. Then I woke up 4 hours later because it was too hot. Then I put on the air conditioner. Then 3 hours later I woke up because I was freezing. I had to turn off the air conditioner and put on a blanket. The weather is nuts. Completely nuts.

Trudeu has done what Merkel did. Saying one thing for show, making people believe that they can go, then once the people get there, it's shown that thse words where just hot air. Merkel even backed everyone up in Hungary (see the Eastern Railway incident) and put the blame on the Eastern European countries for not being humane. ?\nCanada's darling dear did the same thing here and everyday people hoping for a new life get the sharp end of the deal. \nI don't see why this moma's boy is so idealised.
