I was going through college in southern Ontario about half a decade ago. The faculty was alright but the one that always stuck with me was an elderly Indian man who had a PHd (what he was doing teaching at a community college, I'm not sure). He immigrated from India sometime in the 70's, I think, and sometimes told us stories about how he'd never seen electricity until he was well into adulthood. This was at the early stages of Indian mass immigration to the province, but the international students were already becoming a known problem in the school. They never spoke to anyone else, hung out in big groups together on campus, I swear most of them couldn't even speak English. They constantly cheated on everything and shared answers, I heard like 7 of them got failed for submitting identical lab reports one time. Most people knew they were a problem, but no one was comfortable saying anything. Except the Indian professor. He would publicly call them out for shit in class, berate them, shit talk them openly to other students. I've literally never seen anyone more angry about those Indian students than that Indian professor. It's not hard to see why, he busted his ass to immigrate to Canada, get work and get into a good university. He completed a doctorate, for Christ's sake. He didn't see a street light until he was 25, and worked his way to the bleeding edge of digital science. Now there's a bunch of lazy assholes invited in by the government brazenly trying to cheat their way to a degree in his goddamn class. I'd crash out too.

Canadians have always been racist however recently with the anti-woke backlash, more and more have become comfortable about posting their racist beliefs online. This increased exponentially once Elon bought twitter and gave users free reign to post whatever they want. However, on a positive note, I have been able to filter out my racist friends much easier simply after seeing their facebook/X posts.

See the issue with multi culturalism is that “like people” tend to stick with “like people”. It’s human nature… for instance, when I go to school or the break room- I sit with my friends. I interact with, socialize outside of the current setting - because that’s where we are comfortable. Everyone in life chooses to be comfortable, as it’s better. When we mass immigrate (especially from one country) we can’t be surprised that this happens. Of course Indian people do business, socialize, real estate, etc… with other Indian people. It’s what they are comfortable with. I think mass immigration is an awful idea and a culture that doesn’t encourage assimilation and chooses multi culturalism will find that it’ll no longer be multicultural- as the new dominate culture in Canada will be Punjabi.

Dear everyone, Culture is a constantly changing phenomenon. If you had visited Canada 500 years ago, you would have seen Indigenous tribes living on this land with their own cultural values. Two hundred years ago, European culture became more prominent, but it was still a very different place from what we see today. Family values were strong, and who your family was often determined much of your future. Now, Canadian culture is changing once again. The arrival of Indian immigrants will inevitably influence Canadian culture, whether people like it or not. Some may try to resist—perhaps through a kind of “Trumpism”—but that will only provide temporary comfort. In the long run, Canadian culture will continue to evolve with the influx of newcomers. Today it is Indians; in the coming decades, it may be another nationality. The key point is to embrace change—and perhaps change ourselves in the process. For example, the rise in homelessness is tied more to social and economic issues than to immigration. Family structures among white Canadians are becoming less central in people’s lives, and religion is also losing influence. Parenting values are often shaped by fleeting psychology trends and “helicopter parenting,” leaving many children without the strong foundation they need. Perhaps there is something to learn from Indian immigrants about building families, fostering strong connections, and strengthening community ties. Thank you.

This is why I desperately wish there was an actual Libertarian party to vote for in elections! There is a party, but they have not gotten enough signatures to be able to run yet, I don't even know if there is an office or representative in Ontario right now! I wish! Their policies (on paper) seem great, and geared more towards a 'Canada first'/'Canadians First' approach. They touch on a lot of topics and there seem to be a lot of things they want to change! But a government is still a government, they will be motivated by money regardless of any good intentions they may have. So if and when things change, WE NEED TO HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE! We as the citizens have the power to change things for the better! It's just unfortunate that I see so many people getting pushed down or ignored or hated because they are speaking their mind. Remember, Canada dosen't have laws like the US, our freedoms aren't as protected nor do we have the same freedoms they do (like owning and protecting your own property, or self defense!) We as people need to start being honest and expressing things instead of being terrified of the backlash (of which there will be in these times). The only way we can make progress is by deciding to get out of our comfort zones and standing for what is right! For the freedoms and protections we deserve! To make a future worth living for us and our children! It will not be easy, but when is change ever easy? I hope that one day I won't be terrified of the thought of bringing a life into this world and country. I hope I can be stable enough to be able to give my future children a decent life. But right now? I would never want to have children, things are too unstable and I don't want to bring a child into this country and force them to live a terrible life they never asked for! I desperately want to be able to keep hoping for a better future, a better country, and people who can enjoy their lives instead of constantly worrying and stressing about everything. I hope some can consider looking into the Libertarian party as well! They may be small right now, but they seem to be wanting to right the wrongs that have occured.

I was called a Nazi because I suggested the same thing: the more people you have the less resources you have for everyone to go around. I was called a Nazi for saying that. I wasn’t being a Nazi. I was being a mom. Any woman knows this. When you’re single, you can have a whole pie to yourself. You get married, you make a pie and you’ve got well maybe a couple of days worth of food. Add a child everybody eats comfortably but only for one night add a second child somebody’s gotta give up. You know what I mean like it’s just plain math Mathematics so I guess I’m too far left for the right and I’m too far right for the left, I guess. Although I’m not an immigrant, I am a person with disabilities and just recently when we lost the so-called Trudeau tax I wondered why I wasn’t getting it. Then on a Canadian conservative source I heard we weren’t getting it anymore and I was upset. Disgruntled person wrote in the comments section and I quote get over yourself. I think MAID could help you. That didn’t come from a left-wing source as many right wing folks will say that it’s the left who wants to euthanize disabled people. That came from someone from a right leaning source. So writer left nobody wants to pay for anyone to have a free ride, even if the ride isn’t really free. I live on $800 a month and I am much too disabled to work and I don’t have family. In addition, I’ve been told I’m not eligible for rent gear to income, but it’s not like I’m going to get well. Anyway, it seems people don’t like to put out for others and I get it because the folks at the top are always happy to see the little guys tear each other apart. None of our politicians have ever voluntarily Given up a pay cut to support those who can’t work any longer or who never could. That would be the pro life thing to do. They’re always voting themselves big raises.

It’s very comforting to see these leaders stand up to Trump. Ty ?

Let's be clear Mr. Trudeau, with your pandering to the EU.. No one in your country is at risk. You're so cozy up there taking other countries and other people's money. Nobody in your country is at risk of harm, unless you want to try something? Come on Son! The U.S. is tired of War. We The People are tired of the killing, the killing you are so comfortable with. As a Pole I watch the news about Trump terrified. This is madness and the treason of western values and friends. It's comforting to see others standing against THIS

I’ve watched a handful of your vids now and just some honest feedback since you seem pretty chill but you talk about the US like 38 million people don’t live at or below the poverty line and like 26 million people don’t have health insurance; like your food standards aren’t some of the lowest of one of the wealthiest countries in the world; like a child’s life only matters when it’s attached to a woman’s autonomy, but once it’s born even things like gun ownership take precedence over child welfare.\n\nThe people who suffer from these issues the most are probably not people you see all the time because our cities and rural spaces are organized with economic segregation which creates a disparity in tax revenue across different areas, resulting in underfunded public services in low-income neighborhoods, while wealthier areas receive more resources, creating a cycle of inequality and limiting opportunities for residents in poorer communities. \n\nSo honestly it’s great that you are trying to learn more about Canada, but you seem way too comfortable with the state of things. Maybe start a new channel where you take a look at some of these topics because you genuinely do seem like a curious person. Godspeed and I hope you become radicalized soon.

I’m an old stock Canadian senior. The Canada I grew up in during the 1960s and 70s was not some sort of fictional story, it was truly a better society than we see today. It was the envy of the world. My dad who never finished high school had a decent unionized job in a factory, and on that one income could buy a house, raise a family and made a comfortable middle class life. Sure it wasn’t perfect, but it was much better than what we see today.

I don't understand why my countrymen would spend so much money to get into the US illegally. To work menial/paid-by-the-hour jobs? I don't see the allure. They could've easily started lucrative businesses with all that money and live comfortably

If they want to stay in the USA, fine—that's their choice. But they shouldn't be allowed back in India when it suits them, nor should their relatives be allowed to demand their presence when needed. Instead, the Indian government should video-call them regularly, showing them all the new facilities and opportunities being created here, even planning a new city just for their return! Let’s see if they really care about India or just enjoy foreign comforts while pretending to miss home...

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

Canada is not for people who are dependent on maids and helper for day to day work. We have moved to Canada in 2010 and very happily established here. In 2-3 months you can judge Canadian life. It’s a beautiful country with very high potential for ambitious people, who are willing go through the initial learning curve humbly. I have numerous life changing stories of people including myself who are living dream life because we have chosen to be comfortable being uncomfortable. Healthcare is free and way better than India. I have delivered two babies here and have received luxurious treatment with zero bill. Very satisfied to see my children growing to be polite and good human beings. It’s everyone’s individual choice.

You may think i am exeggerating but i had sameeconomic comfort conditions in China if not better, and ı was more welcomed by locals. ındeed locals especially childdren are excited to see me since there are not many foreigners. I would say, we Canadians are simply mad about the illegal immigration and the non vetted and and somewhat entitled immigrants that destroy our way of life. I live in Surrey, which is predominantly Indian, and we don't suffer these issues as we don't have a lot of the illegals coming here that is noticeable at least. I think Ottawa and Toronto is seeing most of these negative issues because of the large amount of new illegals coming there and not having access to homes and our comforts we take for granted here in Canada. I also think it is frustrating to have leaders that pander to these illegals for their votes. So in all I think Canadians, Indians included, are feeling frustrated and angry about the lack of leadership and structure in the immigration system to educated and enforce some basic standards of our beautiful country. I appreciate this video, but please know the majority of Canadians do not blame the whole community for the poop on the beach stuff. I would also appreciate if the black community would take the same approach to addressing their community regarding the entitlement of some of the black community and how rude and criminal they are in large groups.

I had to move my family to live with my parents in the far East, uprooting my kids from their school and neighborhood where they were comfortable. The damage has been done, and it’s clear these changes are just political moves after the fact.*

Sorry Indians are doing what they do in India! They bring their corruption and pollution mentality! They want to be rich overnight and live it up then show it off to each other, see how rich, successful & toxic I am so rest crowd follow the foot steps! Now there are many great Indians and do have ethics & moral. You do not feel unease around them.i just chose my friends carefully! Again immigration brings all different types of people! Many worked hard to have what thru have and are humble but this new generation is really materialistic and entitled! So I understand why Canadians feel they way they do. Especially the ones born and raised here. I'm 31, was born here, and I often feel the same way everyone else does. The only problem that I see is that the issues that are in Canada are also in every other Western country. I'm concerned with the future, but I also know that throughout every generation, there are ups and downs. I'm willing to stick it out. I live outside of Toronto,I love the lack of natural disasters and access to water, and I still feel very safe. Although crime is up, it is nothing compared to the U.S. \n\nI'm actually living quite comfortably. Although my costs have gone up, I have made smart decisions in my life that allow me to live well. I own my own house, don't have car or credit card debt, and I only need to earn 40k a year to cover all of my bills. Every cent extra I earn goes to paying down my mortgage, gym, and golf once a week. \n\nThe question is, is it better l elsewhere? I don't know, but I am trying to be happy with what I have instead of what I could have had by being born 30 years too late. Ultimately, I would rather stay here work within the system to change it and continue to make smart decisions that put me ahead. Starting out all over again makes my stomach sick, and I love this country, despite it's flaws and its government, it has great people and beautiful nature. \n\nBest wishes to all of you other Canadians, and let's make it the Canada we want and deserve again.

I was born and grew up in Mississauga Canada, lived here my entire life. I've seen the defecation of this country in the last 10 years under this liberal extremists Trudeau rule. I see no potential anymore to stay in Canada. Yes I can work but i am paying everything to the government and its not like they are putting money into the community, they spend it on themselves, foreigners, to other countries nothing helps Canadas infrastructure. Canada is GONE! it will get worse before it gets better. PP wont be able to change it as its already at a severe loss. move to another country, weather is better, taxes are lower, people are friendlier, crime is less, there are options! people are just too scared or ignorant to go find out, they seem too comfortable or institutionalize here to leave

I'm feeling the same. This country is running by bad managers who cannot be fired no matter how horrible their performance is. My friend from China visited me in Toronto about two months ago and he said he had zero interest in immigrating to Canada now because the streets look so trashy which I can totally relate. I came back from Japan last year and it was a bit culture shock to see how dirty the streets are in Toronto compared to Tokyo (not even the cleanest in Japan). I have to constantly remind myself I'm lucky to have a comfortable bed and a not too bad salary but my monthly savings after all the expenses are actually decreasing from year to year even I get a pay raise every year (I track all my spendings and income every month). Now it's time to consider other options before it's too late.

Thanks so much for sharing this Alina! I can relate to what you're going through - I was born in the UK, moved to the US at 11 and then moved back to the UK at 24. I decided to leave the US because I began to realise that it's just not an ideal place to work and raise a family. The state I lived in (South Carolina) has a better quality of life than, say, California, New York, Oregon, Washington or New Jersey, but overall the US just doesn't do an adequate job of caring for its citizens, and the US government (especially those left of centre) has its priorities in the wrong place. The UK has its own problems no doubt, but overall the UK does a much better job of caring for its citizens than the US does. \n\nIt'll be more difficult for you than it was for me because you'll be going to an entirely new country where you have no family and no social network, but you're an intelligent and daring woman, you seem to be quite comfortable around new people, and you'll settle into wherever you end up very quickly. As someone who was born and raised in the Middle East and identifies as an atheist, I have a deep understanding of the motivations and mindsets of people from the region who choose to migrate to Europe. In the 1970s and 1980s, many who fled to Europe were doing so for genuine political reasons. They were escaping oppressive regimes, whether Islamic or dictatorial, often because their beliefs as non-Muslims, socialists, or leftists put them in danger.\n\nHowever, since the 2000s, the motivations for migration have shifted. Today, many people from the region come to Europe not primarily in search of safety or to embrace a European way of life, but rather to take advantage of the social benefits that European countries offer. Unfortunately, many of these individuals support the same Islamic regimes or ideologies that people fled from in the past.\n\nIntegration into European society is often challenging, particularly when there is little incentive to learn the local language or culture. For some, the focus is on increasing family size to maximize the financial benefits provided by the state. This explains why it's common to see families with six to nine children in these communities. The goal for many is not to seek safety or assimilate into European society, but to live comfortably on the benefits available in countries like Germany and Sweden.\n\nTo address this issue, I believe Europe needs to reconsider its approach to handling migration. One potential solution could be to build safe cities in North Africa, where people can find refuge and work without necessarily relocating to Europe. This would provide a secure environment and opportunities for those in need, without overburdening European countries. The focus should be on creating conditions where people migrate for genuine safety and the chance to contribute to society, rather than primarily for the financial benefits.\n\nIf people are allowed to choose where they want to live, they will naturally demand the best possible conditions and benefits. However, if authorities take the lead in deciding where migrants should be relocated, it would likely reduce the risks associated with illegal immigration. By guiding people to safe and sustainable locations rather than letting them dictate their destination, we could decrease the incentives for dangerous and unauthorized migration routes. This approach would help manage resources more effectively and ensure that migration serves both the needs of those seeking refuge and the capacity of host countries.

Unskilled US citizens will be hit the hardest. The overall unskilled labor market will keep getting oversaturated to a point where it will be extremely hard to sustain themselves. The benefits from the government will not be able to keep up with the overall inflation. Once the actual indigenous population, US Citizens, hit rock bottom you will see unrest and riots, this is unavoidable! Hitting rock bottom is the only way for people to get out of their comfort zone, until that time comes this will continue. There is a big different between kindness and being naive!!!

What a cheeky cow. Let’s evict you from your house, move in, live comfortably, and progressively move you away from the kerbside meanwhile while asking, “hey, can someone take this family in, seeing them as I live in the house I stole from them is offensive to me”.

As a Canadian who didn't vote for Trudeau even once, we deserve what's going on. The average Canadian prefer comforting lies over uneasy truths. We are asleep and need an even ruder awakening than the one we're seeing now. Every government is a reflection of its citizens, even in dictatorships... it just means the citizens are cowards and not willing to do what it takes to topple.

Him being deported or not doesn't matter, the rules and regulations that allow such inexperienced drivers drive these huge dangerous rigs is a huge problem. I get that the economy suffers from a job shortage in the truck driving sector, but this is NOT the way. It's sad to see so many people jump to race or immigration to try to explain their frustration with our current issues in Canada. We are doing this, Canada is importing immigrants for our economic benefit. We Canadians are all NIMBY and making it hard to build the housing we need, wanting our houses to increase in value indefinitively, not wanting the less comfortable jobs like truck driving, yet letting corporations profit by putting woefully inadequate truck drivers on the road. Immigrants CAN be problematic, but in Canada we are creating our own problem.

well housing and for health care cost of living. the new middle class to live comfortable afford rent groceries car payments and to have some saving need to make at least 11k a month after taxes 11k a month after taxes is like 200k in canada for health care to even see a doctor sure ok we get referral but that referral takes 8 months to go and see an referral. i worked 2 full time jobs in the trades to try and get ahead that 2 full time trade mens jobs and i looked at my taxes was 5 months of income in taxes. so i quit one job. i ncanada your penealized for working harder when there is a single mom who has no job has 4 kdis making 5k a month from child benefits and welfare

I am glad you are following your heart and your beliefs as parents. I am first generation American of Mexican parents and live in Arizona. I have been told to go back where I came from which is Comical as Az. was México first. I see whats happening their and glad I am here. I totally get that going back to Gaza for you is out of the question but hope you find your happiness somewhere close. The world, not just Canada is going down the drain. Ask any Eukrainian. You are not the only one complaining about Canada. I think first of all, we have to understand that we had been living in a peaceful world for the past few decades in contrast with the world just after world war two, and every young people had been living in comfort during their whole life. The last few years had changed, and if the world leaders didn't control the situation very carefully, we might be living in a world war not surprisingly. The inflation we are having is worldwide as a result of the pandemic, and because we have this rising inflation, the world had changed, it would have been worst if there is a world war going on at the moment. So this high cost of living is happening everywhere, and some places are even worst if they are having a war. If you think Canada is bad, name a place that is better than Canada and live there. I doubt if you can find another place better than Canada even with all your complaints. Do more research and you will appreciate that you are one of the lucky ones living in Canada. If you do not agree, I invite you to make another video telling me your findings. We are just in a bad cycle, just wait till the cycle ends, and we will see the sun shining again.

I was born in Canada. I am now in Thailand. I worked 35 years for a large transportation organization. I am retired and loving living abroad. It is cold in Canada 6 months of the year. Climate change is creating massive forest wildfires every summer now creating horrid air quality issues especially in the west, which is the mist beautiful part of the country in my opinion. I traveled back for a couple of weeks in October 2023 and was in shock over the cost of everything especially considering the recent inflation problem affecting the entire world. I couldn't wait to het back to my life in Thailand. Here there is no racism that I can see. All races and religions are accepted here. I hardly ever wear pants, shorts and short sleeve shirts. I can golf 12 months a year and live very comfortably on my pension. I could not have the same quality of life in my home country and the medical industry makes care here very affordable and accessible. In B.C. I found it extremely difficult to find s family doctor after moving there even to get a comprehensive medical checkup. I love my country of origin but will never return as long as I have the choice. Canada is over taxed, over regulated and very expensive now. These are the facts that created my choice to emigrate.

I suggest you to consider UAE as your next destination, specifically Abu Dhabi as a city where you and your kids will find it much comfortable to live and practice a good healthy life... you may hear that it is expensive, but trust me it is worth it, especially when it comes to Health, Safety and Environment friendly ... I don't understand why strict islam believers choose non islamic countries to settle in. There are so many countries in middle east, feels like half the countries have a muslim majority. Why not be comfortable living there. At the end of the day it is important to feel safe and also have a sense of belonging to where u settle down. How can a muslim ever feel that when prayers over loudspeakers are also banned. I feel like many muslims dont value their religion enough to settle in a muslim country and then when they face backlash in non-muslim country they start behaving like a victim. One cannot expect to be in an entirely different cultural environment and still force a different culture to their children. It restricts the children from integrating well in the country. When a parent from a different culture decides to raise children in a country which have a different culture, it is obvious that children will be exposed to this other culture. If that is not okay to parents, then they should not do children in a different country but rather in a country where they are blessed with their own culture. There is a choice for most people, and I am glad that you all chose it. Its beautiful to see people living in peace and in harmony with their religion. I love watching you all and hopefully you are able to encourage more muslims to choose an Islamic country to settle in, rather than being victims or having to fight in Non- Islamic countries due to western influence. I just moved to Karachi, Pakistan, and life is just wonderful, the best schools, my 10 year old niece is making video games, and she goes to Haq academy. The tuition fees is 25000 rupees per month, rent for a nice house/apartment is around $500.00, you can live here comfortably for about $1200/month. Please don’t believe all the negative comments about Pakistan, also the healthcare is the best in the world. Please check it out for yourself. See you in Pakistan!!

I see adds to go live in Canada all over here in Mexico, we all know its a trap, were far far far more comfortable and healthy here. I pay 20 dollars for 3 months of electricity and Im a video editor wich means the PC and the fridge are always on. Canada cant beat that and at this point just seems like a very long and complicated checklist to be selected to a worse life lol

Many of the issues you bring up are the same here, but I am willing to deal with those over the impending chaos we are seeing down here. I am an American living close to the border in Buffalo, but I am considering a move to Canada due to the political climate down here. I would rather pay a little more in taxes & gas than deal with the Christian Taliban we are heading for. The Canadian housing market can be fixed, food prices can come down, but once you start losing rights, it's time to consider your options. When I (a straight white guy in his 50's) can see the writing on the wall, it's getting close to time. That being said, living in a state (New York) that will fight the incoming stripping of our rights, will buy us a few years. I can deal with all the other things (high housing costs, soul crushing medical debt, overpriced college, & out of control gun violence), but we are way too close to a civil war for my comfort. I travel up and down the east coast and don't believe what they are saying, we are way too close to a pre-WW2 Germany situation for anyone to feel safe. The amount of gun owners threatening violence is very concerning.

For higher studies of Kids in UofT, UBC or McGill University, Fees is $3,00,000 approx. for 4 years for International student plus $1,00,000 for stay, foods etc. in Graduation and start wonderful career in age of 21-22. That's the worth of PR. Don't loose it and keep doors open with 2 years compliance of Residency Obligation in 5 years. Vision and future of kids is more important than comfort of parents. as a PR your kids will pay only $75,000 for University fee and can do part time from day one to recover living expense, that's financial management!

Thank you for posting this! I feel much the same.\nI was born in Toronto but my family moved to another city in Southwestern On. when I was 10. I pledged to move back and did in 2004 to become a student. I loved the freedom and vibrancy of the city, met many friends and had a wonderful time. Even as a student, working part time, I was able to afford a shared accommodation downtown and still have a bit of disposable income. \nAfter graduating college, I found full time employment and was able to live comfortably alone in my own 2 bd apartment in mid-town for many years. In 2012, I met my partner and we continued to live in North York in a 3bd rent-controlled unit. We could see the decline in the city over the next several years. We decided we would never be able to achieve what we wanted to by staying where we were so in 2018 we took the plunge and bought a home in Windsor and have never looked back (though Windsor also has many social/affordability issues) .\nIn all, I miss the Toronto I once knew and loved but the decline of the city is pretty shocking.

We left Toronto in 2019 after having lived there for almost 20 yrs (separately and as a couple). The city seems to decline a little bit more every time that we come back to the city to visit friends or for entertainment. It's truly saddening to see the state of things, since I remember first moving to the city in 1998 when it was a very bohemian and vibrant place to live. A room cost me around $350/mth, and I was able to live quite comfortably as a student. That's definitely not the case now, with mega-corporations ruling the rental market and charging a small fortune for much needed housing, as well as the constant mismanagement found in city hall. I'm glad that we left all of that behind for a small town on Ontario's west coast

I resigned from a comfortable position in a top international IT company when I decided to come to Canada, only because I saw Canada as a country that was the best, even unmatched in maintaining humanitarian values above any politics or foreign policy. I am now considering leaving like many others, not due to a lack of opportunities or living needs but a seemingly severe lack of morals, disregard for humanity, and undermining human rights for the sake of politics and foreign policies of the government amid the current carnage in Palestine. When you see hundreds of thousands of Canadians, including Jews, protesting on the streets of Canada, demanding that Canada push for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine, and see no reaction from the government because they are afraid to annoy the USA, you wonder if the government really represents the nation's will.
