I'm white and obviously it's not all Indians, but the only demographic I've experienced racism and prejudice from are Indians. The east Indian problem has gotten extremely bad where I am in Canada they keep buying businesses and then firing all the white people but if you call it out, you're racist like, I'm getting turned down when I hand out resumes, because I'm white and I was born in Canada its bad they're taking all the student jobs and then buying the businesses where students are working and then firing the students i'm no longer in school, so it's even harder to find a job. It's gotten to the point where if you want a job you need to work for yourself. They're even taking jobs in the trades so now people are having to work for themselves under-the-table and launder their money the average median income in Canada is anywhere from $45000 to $50000 a year the average house costs $673,335 the average household only makes $80000 a year i used to dream about having my own home and starting a family now I just hope I can find an apartment for less than $2000 a month that isn't owned by a slum Lord living in Toronto that's bought the property without ever even being to Smiths Falls a day in their life.

It’s a problem here in Canada. They aren’t heading to the USA basically all of them stay cause it’s just easy. Nobody would have a problem if they made an effort to assimilate and some do but the ones who don’t ruin the image for the rest of them. Lots of them coming over on student visas just to drop out or not go to school completely and take up basic minimum wage jobs from the actual tax payers of our Great? nation. The truck driving is also insane up north, past Thunder Bay. Trucks in ditches every 30-50 km's. Wheels coming off of trucks, turning around on the 2 lane highway in the middle of no where and gets the truck stuck cause they wanted to do a U-turn at 3am on blind corners. We driving our 3/4 ton work trucks have to pass our exits all the time cause they have their feet on the dash tailgating you. 90% of the ones that have come over, have made Canada a worse place to work/live.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. I am an Indian student who has struggled to get my papers done, and I have to say this: mass immigration needs to stop. Canada should allow only people who speak good English and who can truly contribute to this country. I am an IT student, and I worked hard to clear $120K in debt through Scotiabank. I could have taken a loan in my home country, but I chose to work here because Canada gave me everything my own country could not. I am deeply grateful for that. But when I see people from my own community walking around in flip-flops, unable to speak even one word of English, it breaks me inside. I know I bring value — I consistently receive compliments from customers across cultures for speaking clearly, precisely, and making their experience enjoyable. Yet I find myself competing with younger candidates who can work longer hours, or new immigrants that companies often prioritize, sometimes with government incentives. At 55, I feel like I’m being overlooked despite my proven skills and professionalism. Right now, I live with my retired parents and should be caring for them. Instead, my father is helping me pay my bills so I don’t ruin the credit I worked so hard to build. If I don’t secure a job soon, I fear I’ll lose everything else I’ve managed to hold onto. The stress is overwhelming — I cry daily, and on top of everything, I also face health issues of my own, but I have no space to focus on them because survival takes priority. It is actually very easy to keep the border closed in the north. Outside of roads, crossing the northern border is not going to be fun. You have the St Lawrence, the Great Lakes, Forests that are no fun to try and cross, the badlands then mountains. They do jobs like research and other medical field related things. There's also a large number of Indian students in colleges too. The reality is the newer generation will have to work harder to get the things the last did, because the last generation is still there. Background checks, usable skills, and political or criminal affiliation. If it’s not possible to access, so is your entry. Ma'am, when a country makes it harder for citizens of a particular country to enter their country, it is often because of the number of recorded incidents, crime from people from said country. If there is a higher rate compared to people from other countries, then it becomes harder. Let's be honest here... Indians don't have a good reputation abroad when it comes to such things... I'm half Nigerians and at least many Nigerians acknowledge why lately, it is harder for Nigerians to get a visa (Obv crime as well.) Has nothing to do with discrimination. Also, look at the state of Canada. Nigeria and India need to focus on bettering their citizens so that less people go abroad, which also reduces the chance of certain people doing crime, to avoid making it harder for honest people from the same country to get a visa. Better the countries so that more countries open up for Indians, making the ranking go up. \n\nLastly, the passport index website shows India at 65, not 85. Why lie about that to fit your narrative? The passport index website is literally the first result that shows up on Google too... Not everything is about discrimination...

The West already has tens of millions of Indians already here, your people are everywhere literally all over the world, your country is making it harder to start a business or settle in India, so why should your country get free access?

It is related to the number of people from specific country that come on visitor visa and overstay it , stay illegally or apply for asylum, more people do that the harder it will be to get visa to that country
