I don’t think it’s tight enough, we need to reverse the mass immigration effects by the liberals

15 years ago I was riding the sky train in Vancouver, I think I was in Surrey, and there were so many Punjabis. They smelled really bad. Filthy race. Canada has been effectively colonized and the government allowed it in the name of social justice. Idiotic traitors.

Thank you for this report on Brampton. For context, I am a 4th generation Canadian, my ancestors immigrated here a few years prior to confederation in 1867. I have worked in the tool and die industry for decades and many of my associates work for or manage tool and die businesses in Brampton. Everyone in Brampton knows what is changing there. When I try to explain to my friends that what is happening in Brampton is not balanced, they do not understand, they think I am a racist. I told them that my Indian friends in Brampton feel the same way I do. They look at me like a deer in the headlights. Nothing has turned me against a politician so vehemently as Justin Trudeau's management of immigration. The man had no idea how to effectively manage immigration in a way which would integrate people into a culture and society such as Canada. That certainly is not creating a microcosm of one nation in a city.

the hindus don't denigrate anybody. ...except those untouchables over there. they're subhuman filth. i think most canadians aren't pissed off about the immigration, exactly, and are more annoyed by the shift in resources. it's a pretty big country with a lot of empty space. they set up in a small town and didn't bother anyone. that's roughly in line with canadian values. however, during that time, we've seen a lot of cuts to systems that were intended to help people born in canada and a shift in resources to help people born elsewhere coming into the country. white canadians are correct in noticing that the government has picked a side, and is shifting it's resources to helping this one group at the expense of the other, and it's had visible results that you're helpfully documenting. it's relatively clear that, whatever the merit of that initial shift in resources, it's had some unexpected effects, and that policy needs to be reevaluated. it's relatively clear who needs government resources in brampton in 2025, and the answer is not the same as it was in 1995.

Culture is a tricky thing. Is it not a known fact that one may not be all that interested in their culture and religion in their country of origin, but once immigrated to a different land, these same people become more attached to their original culture and religion, even more orthodox in their beliefs. They try to recreate what is familar. Why are we surprised most are not assimilating? It takes, for most, many generations. And even then. Immigrants will always, in one way or another affect change in the general culture. Think of different cuisine, the arts, influences on our beliefs, etc. What is a Canadian anyways? One who lives here? Who pays taxes here? How long of roots do you need to have before you are no longer called an immigrant? We have a very large country and from one community to another there is a difference in the culture. Perhaps we need to be clearer on what is in fact our highest Canadian values and communicate them more effectively. I would also like to add that there is suffering in not being able to pass on your culture. Watching your children and grandchildren speaking a different language, not having them understand yours enough for you to enjoy signing traditional songs to, not being able to guide them in your religious beliefs, etc., in the name of them becoming assimilated. I am experiencing these and my roots go back over 400 years on this land.

Why is he acting like Trump has just nuked Canada and going to invade. I think his negative Trump bias is effecting his judgement and behaviour. Instead of doing a media opportunity to show everyone what a good little leader he is and that Trump is a very bad man. Why not try sit-down and have a rational and pragmatic talk and negotiate new trade relations first, instead trying to cause more up-evil and resentment.

The net effect is positive for the US and it will reduce the trade deficit and more over he can use the surplus to offer subsidies while also reducing the national debt as well. This is a good play from Trump, but the liberals will never understand him because they think with their emotions.

I effectively spent a chunk of my childhood in America with relatives. I treasured these memories, but now all the feelings of wonder and happiness when thinking of my visits to America have faded. Now I just think of how selfish it was to sabotage Canada. American private equities want to rock our system and buy up all they can and so I am happy we are watching for this. I think Donald did this to try and buy up Canadian companies. This should be made illegal. I am willing to suffer for up to pull the plug on all resources and energy going to America “suddenly” do they have no time to adapt and collectively suffer. We even produce the ingredient you need for your nuclear weapons and otherwise need to get this from Russia. Canada has the ability to help our allies get nuclear weapons to protect against “America as our #1 enemy now”. Will we share too secret info with you when Trump clearly seems to be working with Russia? Putin dream for NATO to break down and now Trump ours that I to action . Trump wants everyone to spend money on military to fuel the American military industrial complex, something each and every huge tech company you have participated. You have essentially been taken over by a global entity that doesn’t care about democracy. We are going to manufacture our own weapons to have zero dependency on America. That makes no sense to buy weapons from the country threatening to invade you. \n\nHow will America feel to be totally alone in the global stage all under the power of one unstable man with multiple personality disorders. Trump things Putin is Americas friend and meanwhile in Russian media America spoken of as enemy number one. Meanwhile, America is 30% full of people with such little education in politics that they do not even know what is considered red flags to democracy. The 20% needed to shift will see the light once the worst man made intentional recession begins and the billionaires buy up 30% of your homes and buildings. Nothing at all will be outside of billionaire and corporate control and now all your data is in AI. how did all American value fall in just one month. Anyone not questioning this now, ai promise you is being blackmailed or is corrupt. \n\nThe bureaucracy prevents dictatorship. Now Trump is removing this. Just listen to project 2025. America is fully on track.

I think this effect has already been anticipated by the current US administration and I surmise they will shift their trade relations with Russia perhaps they can get a better deal with Russia. Sad but perhaps true. I hope not as it is going to be an end to liberal democracy ushering the age of authoritarianism and empire building.

As a European, it's a pitty I'm not in America anymore. I'm very curious what the American citizens think about this. This will have a negative effect on the entire world. I don't know if Trump realizes it, but America will not come out on top. It will become the biggest loser of this whole ordeal, I'm afraid. This is becoming dangerous. Europe always saw the East as the big threat, but it might be the West. (Not you Canada, we love you <3 )

If russia learned about radiological effects on minerals and metals from Russia, I think they would see how it structurally changes it's genetic compound or atomic structure. I think they would even be able to develop radiation lasers used to change it molecularly. Adding missing ingredients, they could turn lead or iron into gold or something else. Since radiation is just heat.

Ok, I realize that this is CNN reporting this. I don't like tariffs either. But I would like to hear what went wrong to cause a tariff that had been delayed, to go into effect. I believe any thinking person would like to hear the other side of the story before going crazy over it.

Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. I’ve never seen a surge in Canadian patriotism like this. Never in my seven decades —which includes the two Referenda on Quebec separation. And there’s a federal election approaching when all partisans will be one-upping each other in the patriotism department—which manifests in more boycotts of US goods and hospitality services.\n\n Americans should know that the unofficial boycott is more harmful to US exporters than the official targeted countervails because it features immediate and longterm diminishment of Canadian purchases of US goods—all retailers know it’s very hard to recover lost customers once they’ve found alternatives (and the added patriotic effect only makes it worse). Included is diminishment of Canadian visits to the USA. Indeed, the internet is replete with testimonies of Canadian”snow birds” not only forgoing their annual sojourn in the Florida or Arizona sunshine but also of selling their properties there with the parting shot, “I will never vacation in the US again!” Already Mexico has seen its visits from Canadians (who have had a modest presence in Mexico for years) surge to unprecedented levels. I know from much-welcomed temp Mexican construction workers in BC (where I live) that they view Canadians completely differently from our mutual US neighbours—and now that affection is growing like never before. \n\nI’m continually amazed at how uninformed Americans are about tariffs—and misinformed by tRump and his goofy, preposterous, and ridiculous fantasy of world-domination. When tRump uses the lame excuse to implement emergency powers —that Canada is “allowing” (as Vance puts it) fentanyl to “pour into the USA”—it’s tantamount to saying Ukraine started the war with Russia. In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. So starting tomorrow, we will respond by getting rid of all our tariffs. This will make everything we import more affordable. It will make us richer. We hope other countries will join us! If America insists on making everything they import more expensive, lowering their standard of living, that’s their prerogative and problem!”

Everyone thinks that this is Canada standing up, but what this means is that the Canadians with our economy that is 1/10 that of the US will be taxed at 25% on our imports, this is going to hurt canadians way more than the retaliatory terrifs will hurt the americans. This may also lead to an escalated response from the US exacerbating the effect. Trudeau and others can't seem to grasp that there may be a long term strategy from Trump and this is playing into it. \n\nThe truth of all of it is that Trump does not like Justin Trudeau or the Liberal government.

I actually am a fan of trump and I think he’s a strong person who will stand for the country, but what he is doing with these tariffs are gonna have long lasting effects on our country company’s will raise prices on products to make up for loss profits and that will harm who? Yes it’ll harm us the consumers somebody really needs to sit down and talk with trump before he makes a poor decision, tariffs are very easy and quick to be put onto a country but taking away tariffs not so much

Do you think Tariffs at 25%+ against Canada is enough to pop the housing bubble in and throw its banking sector into chaos? Coupled with strategic hits to its largest investment grade corporations attempting to hit the rating agency metrics. It pisses me off that these people know what they're doing is illegal but think that if they can get to some place like NY they'll be safe when it's a place in our country. Everywhere they go in our country is illegal because they are here illegally. NY & CA are not above the law & for these ignorant illegals to think they are is frustrating AF. I hate Trump and everything he stands for but transgenders serving openly are contrary to the principle of good order and discipline. No matter what people think transgenders are not respected by their subordinates and there has to be respect to be an effective leader. In this man's case he flies as a crew of 1 and possibly 2 so he doesn't require respect from his subordinates but a frontline combat officer leading a company would get zero respect and would probably get fragged. The standards have to be the same across all branches and all jobs and that's not possible. The military is mostly populated with southern and mid western men and they will never accept this so as a veteran I support this move to ban them. I would also like to see the standards restored in regards to fat heterosexuals too. There's nothing that says lack of discipline like a fat soldier whose buttons on his BDU shirt are about to pop and they can't see their toes.

I don't think any amount of pleading is going to have any effect. He seems to have made up his mind.

May God help them find a way in South America. The USA has many issues that we need to address to progress our government systems. This is a distraction from a much greater problem in this nation because China is far advanced economically. It’s a whole new world over there whiles this country is pledge with the effects or racism and classism. Eventually there will be no middle class. It will be the Elites and the poor no room or opportunity for nothing in between. Racism must stop in order to combat classism. Immigration entitlement is a direct result of the efforts to oppress black Americans by moving them in order to keep us out along with every other major issue America is facing currently. Racism will be the demise of this country. The amount of energy and resources used for anti black racism has pretty much bankrupted this country. Just think about all of the black inventors, intellectuals, and dreamers killed or suppressed whom could have been more of an economical difference in this country to help make it a beautiful place…. It's Canada's own fault. Businesses were whining about not enough restaurant workers after the pandemic. The Liberal Canadian government, without thinking about effects, obliged and opened the floodgates.

He couldn't get the last President of Mexico to pay for his so called wall, then embezzled funds raised by US citizens to build it, then had a completion ceremony, which was a lie. What was built was about 10 miles of fencing that was being climbed by sun down the same day. His idea was to shoot all those who crossed in the legs or dig a moat and fill it full of alligators. Now he thinks that putting tariffs on goods coming in from other countries will hurt THEM, but it doesn't, it hurts us the American consumers, so who he really wants to hurt is us, the American public. Effectively he has now raised OUR COST OF GOODS BY 25%. The same stupid thing he did his last time around!

It feels so foolish to keep trying bandaid solutions that harm the US labor pool. There's a couple of things I keep thinking about in regards to this. \n\n1. Most developed countries on earth are in the midst of or are preparing to deal with population crisis and depopulation. Strong immigration to the US stems this issue and is actually a huge advantage to the power and continuing visibility of the USA.\n\n2. Deportation and border control strike at the effect of immigration and leave the cause unharmed. People come to the USA because there's opportunities here, so why not make opportunities abroad?\n\nIf the USA were to remove benefits of dealing with china while offering massive incentives for moving manufacturing away from china directly to Latin America, not only would we be countering our Chinese dependency but we would also provide jobs at home and stem immigration. Not only that, but the businesses would be American and be controlled by Americans - a huge incentive to stay friendly to the USA.\n\nI don't know, just seems like our current policy and especially what Trump is suggesting are counter productive and stuck in a bygone way of thinking.

How sad is this? The cruelty is beyond belief and she isn’t even ashamed of herself. And to pretend that these people could just apply legally is ludicrous. When this lady came immigrants were still being welcomed. All you had to do was apply and wait. It’s not so easy now. Trump has spread so many lies and so much hatred that immigrants are hated. Regulations are draconian and will just get worse. Trump has said he will split up families and jail or execute immigrants if they try to get back to their families. That Americans accept this cruelty, has completely destroyed my respect for them. I used to think Americans had some bad people but the majority were good.even with the evidence that they refuse healthcare for all and decent gun control to protect children. I thought they just hadn’t realized how effective these policies are. But now it’s blatantly obvious that they don’t care about poor people or disabled or sick people. They don’t care about the elderly or the health and safety of pregnant women. They just want more for themselves and are too dumb to realize that the way to get more is to work together and help each other.

Get ready for high soaring inflation because of the Tariffs and Labor shortages for the jobs that nobody'll want to do - picking vegetables, fruits, berries, +, and it won't matter what the price of gas(Which during his administration gas was down because not as many people were traveling like they were before Covid.) because not many will be able to afford much of anything else, which under President Biden inflation was falling and was going to be reduced even further and fuel prices were dropping - and money was coming into the Country from Arms Sales which helped lower inflation and taxes, now the next Countries will only have to build Arms that don't have to be as good as the Country's but just better than the Pariah Countries and they'll pick up the Sales that'll be dumped from the Country and jobs will be lost - leading to higher prices again and lower wages for many workers because many people will be unemployed and they'll be willing to take lower paid jobs which will lower overall wages and the quality of merchandise will drop - people really didn't think before putting that checkmark ✔️ - not to mention the ladies and their families that'll be effected some horrendously and chances are that eventually it'll effect the majority of families and then the divorce rates will rise and crimes will rise out of desperation - but the thing is - is that the criminals will be able to afford gas to travel around more to commit more crimes - - -,,,.*

I think a side effect of mass deportation is the over implementation of A I and machinery to replace that labor.

I’m honestly wondering, who will fill the vacant jobs left after immigrants are gone? Hard not to think this will have a domino effect.

This idiot somehow thinks 47 will have larger margins in either the Senate or the House than he had in 2017: when he was completely unable to do any of those things. Also, he had actually competent people in both the House and Senate to help out (and also hinder him- when he he was being excessively stupid)- but those guys are gone. Having only loyalists left, he will suffer the effects of this loss. Title 42 restrictions required COVID: but no doubt a compliant SCOTUS will let the Great Pumpkin adopt them again- so maybe those will happen again. At least for a while.

You do realize it’s not just Latinos that would be getting deported. Mass deportation also includes Africans, Haitians, Arabs, Egyptians, etc. Do you think an ICE officer will cares enough to differentiate between a Black American born in the US and say a Black Honduran ?? What about families who are mixed race and one parent is US born while the other isn’t? Then what? I’m immensely disappointed by Latinos voting for this man, but mass deportation isn’t “cut and dry” where it’s only going to effect one group. It’s going to impact TONSSS of people across the board.

1.) the bureaucratic red tape to get into the country “legally” is so much more than it was 30-40 years ago (not to mention the Mexican government being even more corrupt). If it was so easy to get in “legally” (just waiting days in line), don’t you think people would just do it?\n2.) if you’re deported, if often comes with a ban on returning (or even applying to return) of 15-20 (even longer?) years. Any family members of hers that are deported would, effectively, never be allowed back again.

I think she have been watching too much of poltical propoganda media of their or other western countries which is mainly based on migration and how it is effective them financial and what not .

Trudeau supports what he wants , no matter the effect it has on Canadians or would be Canadians. An election is coming up, he is the most hated Prime Minister in history. He must do something.\nIf you look at the big picture his ideology has done nothing positive and turned many people against each other. It is challenging to be empathetic to these 'students.' I do think Canada should focus on graduating Canadian students with Canadian language skills and getting them into meaningful employment. Many of the TWP jobs can and should be filled by Canadian students who already speak one or both of Canada's official languages. It is getting increasingly difficult to be served effectively in English. French is less of a problem but too often Int Student Grads struggle to communicate in French also.

CANADA SHOULD HAVE ASSIMILATED ITS IMMIGRANTS, AS WAS DONE IN THE PAST, BUT TRUDEAU WITH HIS MULTICULTURAL RELIGION TOLD IMMIGRANTS THAT THEY COULD LIVE IN CANADA WITHOUT EVEN INTEGRATE INTO THE MAJORITY. SO THE IMMIGRANTS CAME AND CONTINUED TO LIVE HERE AS THEY HAD IN THEIR PAST LIVES, FORMING A MULTITUDE OF HERMETIC COMMUNITIES THAT DID NOT INTEGRATE INTO THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY. OFTEN THEY LEFT THEIR COUNTRY TO LIVE IN A BIG CANADIAN CITY. IT IS CLEAR THAT THEIR BEHAVIOUR SHOULD HAVE CHANGED TO ADAPT TO THE LAWS AND THE CULTURE OF THE COUNTRY. BUT TRUDEAU LIED TO THEM BY TELLING THEM THAT THEY COULD LIVE HERE IN ABSOLUTELY THE SAME WAY AS IN THEIR COUNTRY OF ORIGIN.. NOW, THE REACTION IS HERE. CANADIANS NO LONGER TOLERATE THESE FOREIGNERS WHO BELIEVE THEY ARE AT HOME AND THINK THEY CAN IMPOSE THEIR CUSTOMS AND BEHAVIOURS THAT ARE DISTURBING. TRUDEAU AND THE LIBERALS HAVE TRANSFORMED CANADA INTO A BALKANIZED COUNTRY MADE UP OF SMALL TERRITORIES ALL FOREIGN TO EACH OTHER. THE FUTURE OF THIS CONFETTI COUNTRY IS SEEN IN WHAT IS CURRENTLY HAPPENING IN THE UNITED KINGDOM WHICH IS EXPERIENCING AN EXISTENTIAL CRISIS. WITH ITS MULTICULTURAL POLICY, BRITISH POLITICIANS HAVE DROWNED THE NATIVE ENGLISH PEOPLE BY DENYING THE PERVERSE EFFECTS OF THIS POLICY. TODAY THE COUNTRY IS ON THE EDGE OF A CIVIL WAR. THIS IS WHAT CANADA WILL EXPERIENCE VERY SOON IF TRUDEAU REMAINS IN POWER AND IMMIGRATION CONTINUES IN THIS WAY.

The comments section should be a mandatory read for present and future leaders of Canada. In addition, alot of Canadian resources have been sold to foreign interests. How concerned do you think they are with the local effects?

I’m immigrant from Iraq. Came in 2009 and I can say Canada has immigration problem. There’s no way you are getting these students back to India. When I came to Canada I came because I wanted to make it my second home. A country that I’m willing to actually fight for. These guys are here just to make money and send it back to India. They don’t like Canada they don’t like Canadians they don’t care about the country and the land. They are here to milk Canada and it’s effecting Canadians. When a store whole operation is run by Indians do you think a Canadian will get hired?
