Whats distressing is when you uncovered that if officials reject an applicant they are basically shooting their career in the foot ... and they have to file a big report and could be challenged in court and of course that means a court brief and testifying as the prosecuting witness. What about holding the officials accountable who processed and issued their visas in the first place? How did they get in? There’s no way their paperwork didn’t have any red flags. If there were truly no red flags, that means our system is broken or not competent enough to catch them and protect the safety and security of this nation. Or did we just lower the requirements, skip security checks, and issue the visas anyway? Now we have these criminals walking our streets and terrorizing citizens. How did they get guns? How broken is our system? Logically, something needs to make sense: either we severely compromised our processes and allowed this to happen, or we are seriously incompetent.

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

there are 10 indian "students" living next door in a single family dwelling of 3 bedrooms. they share 3 cars and do uber eats delivery (and or other food delivery) around the clock -- reason i know this is because they often pull into my drive way during ungodly hours for extended period of time and triggers my surveilance camera (aimed only at my drive way set to trigger more during night times for movements and noise), since they just park there, and blast music so loud 100 feet radius ground is shaking, the surveillance cam picks up their shift change all the time. i did try to go over twice to voice my concern, and guess what, they either dont speak english or pretend to not speak english. ok i guess. and the reason they park on my drive way is because, well, they dont shovel theirs. lol. so its easier to just use my drive way and walk to their side door. but hey i mean good for them for making a living. but its just weird and disrespectful. and i have to worry about salting my own fking drive way because if they fall, they can sue the shit out of me and i cant complain about their trespassing. bless the canadian law. so i guess for me. they dont bug me, except the fact they just use my drive way because its convenient for them, and the blasting of music middle of the night. lol also i stopped going to tim hortons a few years ago after a few consecutive diarrhea immediately after morning coffee visits. good times

They have whole continents and ethnic nations for themselves. As a Canadian born citizen and somebody who lives only about 30 minutes from Brampton I can truly say that no Canadian is racist we're not anti-immigration anti-immigration that's not what this is the issue that Canadians currently have is that the people who come here from other countries don't adapt to our way of life and learn our culture and our values and that doesn't mean that you have to stop practicing your values or your religion all Canadians are asking for is respect for how we live in this country end the other biggest thing to that is to me extremely disrespectful if you've been here for more than three years you should be able to speak English like a Canadian and everything should be able to understand you and if you can't do that then that is just flat out disrespectful and rude because if I came to your country and after 3 years I still didn't speak your language or spoke it very poorly you would think the same thing you'd find it extremely rude so do any immigrants reading this understand we have no issue with you guys being here just adopt to our way of life our way of life and learn how to speak English

Ah, see, that happened to me 3 times. A black person got served before me. Two jumped ahead in line on their own. I stood up to each of them, but the white libertards complained. So essentially 3 tiers of Indian come(Hamiltonian here who worked in the GTA for awhile) They got pumped in and don't like eachother and look down at the lower tiers ones. They won't even hire other Indians anymore since they have the options of only their type. They buy up insane amounts of properties because they bring thier entire family on different visas and many just stay till they get deported as they bring that money home with them. Every student housing is filled with Indians, every one bedroom has 30 of them living in it. Most starter homes where cheap so they bought them to flip with thier combined money. Security sector is filled with them exclusively because it's the highest amount of money they can make here without any skills .(Most are 0 skilled). Schools all had to cut staff in half because when we cut funding and spots for people coming to our universitys they lost half thier income. Crime rate went way up. My city is really bad for human trafficking and aex trafficking. Many come to our city since it's far enough away to commit crimes. Many get 0 consequences because again.. Illegally overstaying a visa is deportation. Doug Ford literally gave everyone 200$ before an election...like how corrupt and garbage is this country. Now we have Indian only business that can't speak English, similar to the daycare issue. Job postings for specific races or language s only. Mind you everything just stated is also being done by the Arabs and Somalis and Nigerians. Many of these people coming here are "escaping dangerous situations" Wich means criminals who want to start again. After finishing the video you asked why, and still didn't have an answer. This is lazy of you. It is very easy to find the answer. The answer is economics, specifically capitalism and the welfare state. In order for capitalism to function the best for asset owners, the economy must continue to grow. Company revenues, stock prices, home prices, assets in general. Also, the welfare state needs to have more younger workers paying into the system to cover welfare services for the elderly retired population. Back in the 1950s, economists in Western countries realized their population demographics were inverting. Meaning, the elderly population was growing while the younger population growth rate was slowing down. This is the natural outcome of a wealthy educated society—the elderly live longer due to better healthcare and living conditions, and women tend to have fewer children as they spend more time in school and pursue a career, also families need fewer children compared to poor agrarian societies for various reasons. As such, these economists advised the politicians to increase immigration. This was the way to get more workers in your country to prevent a slow deflationary spiral by increasing consumption, and increase the tax base. Bonus if you bring in STEM workers as economies are becoming more dependent on tech. Anyway that's your answer.

I was in niagara ontario last weekend and back in October. Its all indian, i mean 7 out of 10 people were indian, store and resturant owners, employees, tourists, residents all indians, very very few whites or english being spoken. I even tried to get pizza from a place called pizza depot, it was indian run and owned. The pizza was good but it seemed as though every which way i turned i couldnt support anything actually canadian.

Not everyone is like that in my experience, I'm not from brampton but I'm sikh and I have sikh friends who are white and indigenous as well. One thing people don't realise is a lot of Canadians are actually really racist. You clearly saw that from the interview of the guy and his wife who was an RN, they passed the exam fair and square but I feel like his lack of understanding of the English language didn't get his point across right. The point he missed was the quality of life is higher in Canada, In India it's way easier, the cost of living is way cheaper, there's tons of cheap labour to hire maids for all your house work for example which is common in their culture, but as you've probably seen online, India isn't the cleanest or friendliest place to be, and if he was a nurse in India he would probably be broke without a good job, and having the opportunity to find good high paying jobs in something that Canadians also do when they travel to the US if a position in their field isn't available in whatever local city they grew up in. The main issue stems from international students from like after covid, regardless of country, India is in the spotlight because there's just more indians compared to other countries international students but its all the same stuff, you have kids from all over the world that might not have learned the same cultural practices, fresh 16-18 year olds living alone for the first time that have to do all their own chores and don't even know how to take care of themselves in some cases or do laundry or anything like that and it doesn't mean they were illegal immigrants or anything, just that they never put in the effort to learn because they were too entitled, its the same with entitled kids that go to Korea or Japan from north America as well that don't learn their culture and customs and misbehave because they are too entitled, and once you understand that you can see the bigger picture more clearly instead of just defaulting to racism. Also I'm not saying they can't be frustrated, its frustrating for everyone, even for me but racism isn't the answer.

I’m a recent Indian immigrant and I’ve lived in Singapore, Malaysia, the USA, and now Canada. I’ll admit that a lot of what’s said here is true: there are far too many cases where Indians abroad show a lack of civic sense, break rules, or behave in ways that don’t respect the host country.  Personally, my family and I have always assimilated wherever we’ve lived, respecting local customs, following rules, and contributing positively to the community and I hate it when immigrants don't assimilate into the local culture and reside in their own enclaves, I mean what was the point of emigrating then?? I truly value the peace and order these countries offer, and I want to give that back. Every community has good and bad examples. The responsibility is on us as immigrants to lead by example, integrate genuinely, and show that we can be respectful, responsible citizens. That’s how perceptions change for the better. It sucks that a whole racial group can be disliked because of some bad apples — and in our case, unfortunately, there are quite a few.

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. If these were French people like my heritage is, I would be even more pissed because I could say something without being called a racist. These immigrants are coming here with one goal retribution against the English Empire for the past or some shit, I dont know, and they're taking it out on us Canadians. over 5 years I've collected proof so I feel very safe coming out now and talking about this because I have everything to back it up. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.
