I just read a story that over 851,000 immigrants have left Canada on their own because of the high cost of housing and living conditions here , and won't this solve the problem when it comes to immigration in the country . India, with its 150 billion people has s#!to eaters and people who can buy out Canada. You only see the bad. Press the government to bring in good people. Doctors, engineers, lawyers, scientists, business people, who will add value to the country and generate you jobs and salaries and grow this country. Not cooks and drivers only. There are always two sides of the story. When British and French went from starting trade with indigeneous to brigning their families and settling towns on their land, they must have had the same feeling. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

So I watched the video expecting to hear the Indians sounding terrible and entitled, and instead it's obvious they're just like every other group of immigrants who ever came before them, including those from Europe. That growth of suburbs has happened over the last 50 years in every city in North America, from both domestic and immigrant people choosing to settle there. Did you expect a town that close to Toronto to experience zero growth over 50 years?!! While every other suburban area on the continent grows? If so, then you clearly aren't the brightest bulb.

I knew an undocumented young woman who was living with her 1 yr old baby and her undocumented husband in NC. He started beating her up really badly so she called the cops. The cops arrested them both, even though he was the clear aggressor. They sent the baby off to cps and cps sent the child back to her extended family in Mexico. She spent 3 years in the county jail, never having access to proper medical care, fresh air & greenery or money for commissary or phone minutes. She was still in the early stages of learning English so she was unable to properly advocate for herself before she made bilingual friends and she couldn’t even read the English books in the county jail. Last I heard, she had finally been transported to a huge ICE detention facility in Georgia, but her case was still in limbo and she still had not seen her daughter 4 years later?\n\nShe was such a sweet young woman and what happened to her was so cruel, inhumane and totally undeserved. People who advocate for mass deportation are asking for millions of more stories just like hers, but with even more violence, since Trump would have to use storm troopers to do raids and papers checks so they can kidnap the 20 million people they want to deport.

From Poland. Arrived yo Canada at the end of 2020. I am nearing my 4th year here, in a small village. I arrived with my 6-year-old daughter to begin my writing career. Now, 40% of my daughter's childhood has been spent here and I I go to court soon to fight for my child to be returned home to me. After nearly one year- a year of financial hardship because I have to travel without a driver's license and without a group of friends to drive me- I have my very first hearing with a judge in Youth Court in a matter that has no foundation to begin with, follows no rule of law, and acts arbitrarily. My child whom I homeschooled to the praise of the provincial ministry of education and was following a classical liberal arts education path that had her outpacing students in the province was entrusted to the care of a Child Services company (that has a record of placements that have resulted in child murders). My child's life has been irrevocably upset to say the least. NO ONE LEAVING CANADA GIVES THIS STORY AS A RESON FOR QUITTING THIS COUNTRY. I guess no Canadians care about their children like I do my precious gift from God. True, O come from the former Soviet Union where Marshal Law (Emergency Measures Act) were commonplace. I lived through two in Canada in 4 years: one Federal, and one through Provincial Youth Court where I await my turn to see a judge after my daughter was removed from my care. People do not know they have no biological ownership of their children, because I guess few Canadians value their children to care about their own laws. But these laws also apply to immigrants too. What money was taken from me during the move and resettlement, the government takes by creating more expenses for me than I could ever imagine or budget for. Emotionally, I am a wreck. Rather than commencing my writing career, I have been seeking low-income lawyers, reading the provincial law on Youth Protection, filing complaints within a circular system (the watchdog is part of the system not outside of it) and preparing all evidence to prove I have done nothing wrong [just like in communist rule]. Have you ever given any thought to the difficulties in proving your innocence? \nNO ONESEEMS AWARE OF THIS DETERENT TO BRINGING CHILDREN TO CANADA. NO ONE. IT IS THE ONLY ONE I COULD NOT PLAN FOR. It seems like there is a small percentage of really bad tenants AND also really bad landlords creating awful policies that ruin it for the large percentage of good tenants and good landlords. Every time I read the news there are horror stories from the point of view of renters BUT also horror stories from the point of view of landlords (like in this case). We also face a similar challenge in other countries that housing is a crisis and governments keep bringing in all sorts of immigrants, from refugees to highly skilled people (like myself). I have switched 5 cities and the story either gets more worse or less worse. Half a year searching for a decent apartment? Some search for years! It's a full time job. The government gets back to my request after many months! Foreigners offices are packed with applications and citizenship is taking years long now. Getting a doctor appointment (psychological issues) within a year is hard, unless you pay from pocket or are in grave danger. We are being squeezed in here and they started new loose immigration policies to be more attractive to foreigners. Address the quality of life at the same time!

Dear Abhi, I am canadian PR. I attest to the facts presented in this video. Students are suffering and it feels bad to see and witness their ordeal. Healthcare is so bad that I have stories of surgery done wrong and person almost died. Colossal level of mis-management is going on in this country. I am professional and at executive level in corporation, still half the time in a year I struggle to keep up with expenses. I am re-considering my decision to stay in this country. If some student is reading this please think 100 times before you come to Canada.

I can sympathize to much of what you say about desiring more access to Islamic culture, and certainly about your concern for the physical safety of your children; however, if you don't want a drag queen to read a story to your children, by all means keep them away from such events, but don't raise them in homophobia. No country is a utopia. We typically hear about what all the wonderful things a place supposedly has, then you learn the whole story. The best way to really learn about a country is to read or watch books or movies meant for the locals, where they typically describe problems that occur, such as crime, corruption, social mores and such.

The first step before understanding a conflict, let alone trying to solve it, is listening. Bravo to CBC for giving a voice to people who are in positions of leadership who represent the disenfranchised, the violated and the overlooked. One thing that can be frustrating about “not seeing a problem that doesn’t involves us immediately” is that we are locked in to our own worldview—and it’s frustrating to be asked to change something we ourselves don’t think needs fixing. The importance of just listening, and being witnesses to specific stories, human to human—and being reeducated on the lingering multi-generational consequences of past and current racism is what needs to be focused on, if you are an individual who feels like nothing is wrong. The task is merely to listen—and doubt your sense of comfort, satisfaction and preference for the status quo. Listening, and doubt can lead to change. Collective change can lead to understanding, and even, healing. It is so hard to doubt oneself at this level because “othering” is a very strong force in tribal instincts and dynamics. To be asked to let go of this seemingly real sense of self and group identity can be extremely unsettling, psychologically. I hope that is somehow helpful for people who are reading, in some way. I wish that our education not only reflected history accurately, but also made it mandatory to learn basic principles of psychology.

There is no salutation of Gabriel to Mohammed when he met him and gave revelation for 22 years. If the angel Gabriel of the true God appeared to Mohammed, he would have certainly greeted and self-introduced himself before speaking to Mohammed. (Look Daniel 9:1-27; Luke 1:5; 2:20; Luke 1:26-38). Therefore, it is clear that the dark spirit in the cave Hira is not angel Gabriel at all. \n3.
