Please don't say indian I feel ashamed, the so called invaders are from punjab which is the north part of india who speaks Hindi. We are from south most tip of india :kerala we don't invade any country we blend with other country's culture. And we speak "malayalam" as our language. India does consist of 28 completely different states and 22 plus different languages. Everyone is different in their culture and language spoken and the food itself. And I am also sad I came to canada from kerala to get a foreign exposure but sadly I saw more punjabis, gujaratis and many hindi language speaking north indians more than canadians😢. We keralites get the racism not from canadians but from these so called Punjabis and gujaratis the hindi speaking people. Its awful

Changes to immigration are welcome. In Quebec things are far more complicated as integration and language come into play. Most immigrants struggle to build a life in Canada due to expensive housing (renting or ownership). Canada was also accepting too many professional immigrants (engineering, business, consulting, IT, accounting) when we desperately need trades, construction workers and mechanics. The reduction in immigration and foreign students to sustainable levels is long overdue.

Please do a video on the invasion of Mexicans / Hispanic into America over decades...but especially during the Biden admin; FORTY MILLION ILLEGALS, just during his 4 year fraudulent term; the Indian invasion pales in comparison to how many Illegal Mexicans there are in the USA, totally flying under the radar, protected by a corrupt leftist media, & because they are protected by leftist towns, their city council, etc...and compromised leftist law enforcement, who also, btw, pay these ppl to gangstalk & harass, and illegally surveille, American citizens in these invaded towns. These ppl always travel in packs and gangs of people so they all support each other with money and aid in teaming up against others they hate; they believe America belongs to them & are ignorant of historical Facts & even so, do not care, and these ppl who refuse to assimilate or get legal citizenship, act entitled & present an attitude that everything here and everywhere but especially in America, is for Theirs for the taking...including white men...girls. They also have a very high rate of drug use / smuggling, early pregnancy among females, violence; gangs, etc...etc..far greater corruption & deviance than Indian culture which many of these things are mostly non-existent...at least Indians are intelligent & keep to themselves & are quiet....not that I support an all- out invasion...Attention though needs to also be on how illegal Hispanic culture, etc...has completely changed, and not for the better; the demographic & atmosphere of once peaceful, and at least once fairly educated, once nice looking American cities & towns...& they are taking all of our jobs, & then forcing applicants to learn the language of these foreign invaders, discriminating against citizens who don't speak their language; these ppl are getting massive funding in all sorts from all sorts of NGO's & elsewhere..: they are also driving far better, & more expensive vehicles than many citizens...so where is the money coming from...& they're buying up all our land, building housing for themselves, family, & for other illegals...which is, of course also corrupt & illegal...Money hungry & leftist leaning Real estate agents are just pushing these housing applicants through...no background check, nothing, and no one is investigating just that aspect alone...Many are also now copying American culture & opening up these copied businesses to monetarily capitalize on what sets Americans apart from Hispanic culture. And also...illegals are literally, violently Hunting ICE...threatening them, hurting and killing them, at the behest of other corrupt officials who invaded and took political power for a corrupt agenda; it is beyond treason. This is quite sad though for Canada...all of our towns are being deliberately RUINED BY GLOBALISM.

I am an Indian and I would say Canada belongs to white people, and we should respect their social values. Canadians dont let Canada to turn into Punjab India or into any other country. I'm just glad they decided to fill up brampton before they fill up surrey (which they surely will very soon) When i was a kid, i was annoyed that there were so many chinese where i lived (Richmond, iykyk) but they never really did anything to wrong me. Indiana are very difficult nation to respect the rules and laws in the housing sector to during to jobs - and education. They don't want to learn the foreign rule except just want to make money by ignoring all rules. \nI rule said to allow the apartment to be sized and rules to all nations 2 people the indians will bring the same apartment 10-15 person minimum, damages within a days weeks, non-respect the rules they agreed to respect. \nWhen landlords are the same rules as all others indians think it's only for them, and cleanliness maintenance is the main issue. Before indians rented the buildings front, corridors, and inside all was super clean as soon Indians rented the apartment all the bags full of garbage, compost, dresses, and shoe food all in front and everywhere. The apartment and building itself are not livable and others are complaining threatening the landlord to quiet the building. For Indians tennats many landlords lost. their good respectable tenant, None want to stay with them, It's not about color or language its about cleanness and noise sharing s with many and inviting all friends which is allowed only in India, not other developed countries or Canada. U.S. If they can't respect the rules of law in Canada they should not come. Canad landlords will not allow 11/2 or 21/2 apartments with 10-15 peoples, who breaks all inside out crowd noise, deny damages, and blame Landlords.

We have way too many here it's creating resentment. It'd be like living in India but literally every place you went all u see is white ppl speaking English and not respecting Indians culture. After years of seeing your quality of life and services decline you'd get upset too. If u had kids that can't even find a summer job because they're all taken by foreigners or can't find an apartment to live in then that's where problems start. Imagine getting hurt but your wait to see a doctor is 12 hours because 100 east Indians are there at the ER slowing things down because they can't even speak our language. The reason is that some Indian finds it difficult to integrates.\n\n I know one Indian lady that have lived in one country for over 20 years and the lady cannot speak the language of that country. Our behavior abroad is a problem: talking loud, jumping queues, no sense of personal space, eating habits (we heap our plates at the buffet, can't eat it all & throw it), lack of punctuality etc. Many hotels keep watch on our groups during the free buffet breakfast, for, we tend to surreptitiously fill our lunch boxes on the sly! We go for the cheapest options everywhere (Chinese go for expensive things). Basic manners & maybe a foreign language must be taught from childhood at schools.

Too many immigrants, from any group, changes local demographics which is becoming a real issue. Stay home and build your own country. I'm sick and tired of walking down the street in my town and hearing loud foreign voices and languages and sorry to say, it's mostly Indians!

To all those supporting the cracking down on these ‘illegals’ there’s something I need to know. Tell me, if they folks had an option to immigrate legally, would they? Do you think it’s some kind of malicious effort to come here against the law, or are they coming here out of desperation? Many of these people come from places like Haiti, Colombia, or Guatemala. Places that the CIA and American tax dollars destroyed. Illegal immigration wouldn’t be a problem if we didn’t make the situations of many of our southern neighbors unlivable.\n\nI’m a Floridian white dude who was comparatively born with the silver spoon in my mouth, I understand America is at a point economically where the last thing we need is to be spending money on non citizens, sending billions in foreign aid abroad or on undocumented immigrants. As FRENCH, I think it is more an issue with policies set by both governments!!! You know you bring students IN and why don’t you build houses and encourage construction???? In France, many students (mainly Africa, and French departments like Guadeloupe, Tahiti or Martinique) come to study there (for free and we are proud of it!!!) BUT - unlike Canada - we do NOT have the same issues as Canada (our healthcare is NOT under pressure and our housing prices haven’t really increased that much as compared to Canada for example!!!) to me, the students are NOT to blame!!! It is the fault of the deciders (at different level) who have FAILED to set the right policies!!!! The schools are also to blame as some (not all) are so obsessed with making profits out of the higher international fees, which by way, subsidize Canadian students!!! So in Canada (not in France or Germany), the money that allows schools to function come from international students who BRING LOTS OF MONEY for the Canadian economy!!!! in France, it is different as the universities are FREE and are fully subsidized by the French government… but yes;) you have to speak French fluently to attend them!!! \nSo dear Canadians, do not blame foreign students thanks to whom your universities thrive and remain existant!!! Without them (namely the Indians too), the Canadian universities will struggle to find money and funding! Remember, the system in France is TOTALLY different!!!!\nAlso, reading from comments, I notice that many here have NEVER alert their own country!!! You come to Canada in huge numbers. It's not immigration anymore, it's invasion. You are culturally aggressive, you don't want to assimilate, and will not assimilate. You came here to build a second Punjab, you have different values than ours, many of you are dishonest, demanding, ungrateful. I have an impression that our government wants to replace our population. When I go to the park with my dogs, I mostly see women in saris and men in turbans and hear around a foreign language. I lost the sense of familiarity and don't recognize my own country anymore. And what is sad is that India will stay India with its culture and tradition, but our culture will be dissolved. Canada as we know it will disappear.

It's interesting to see what will happen if I post a neutral comment here. \n\n\nUndoubtedly, Germany is not a paradise on Earth, just like any other place. There are both pros and cons. Sometimes I felt like I was reading comments about a completely different country when people wrote about not being accepted by society and so on, so I decided to respond too.\n\n\nI barely speak German (my second language is English) and I have never felt any racism or disrespect towards me. Whether it was on the street or at work. I more often met friendly people who were interested in learning about my move to Germany and were always admiring and saying words of support. This cannot be faked, these things were real. \n\n\nOf course, you will experience a lot of stress when visiting the foreigners' department, as many things are unfamiliar to you and you don't have enough language skills at first.\n\n\nOf course, I would like to get paid more for my work, or at least pay less taxes. Yes, child money support exists, but it's more of a formality as it barely covers the costs of raising children. This is where I would really like to see improvements.\n\n\n\nPeople, including immigrants, cannot understand that by increasing the demand for housing, they are increasing its cost. You can't blame the country itself for this. The law of supply and demand works here.\n\n\nThose who write about their plans to move to Australia or the USA, don't forget to share your relocation experience after. When you face the same or even bigger relocation problems. \n\n\nYou are right in one thing - there is no paradise on Earth, and you have to work. Hard and always ti achieve your goals.\n\n\nThere is such a thing as a labor market and everything coexists in balance. \n\n The only thing whether it's too hard for you or you will not give up ?.

Canadian multiculturalism has changed. It used to be you came here and became a Canadian... While still bringing in bits from where you came from. Now it's they come here and complain about Canada while bringing their whole package of where they came from for us to accept. I'm tierd of people assuming white Canadians are racist for feeling uncomfortable when their cities are being over populated with non English speaking people (and by the way... It's not just white Canadians feeling uncomfortable... So our media and politicians needs to stop making this a race war). When we allow this many of one group to come in and live together.. They have no insentive to integrate. Immigration 60 years ago was Europeans coming in... I remember my grandmother talking about how the Italians and Portuguese and Germans were coming over in large numbers and it was a shock to the system... But they at least learned the language and integrated. Why are we condeming Canadians for not wanting cultures today from coming here and putting their foreign culture above Canadian culture. I'm so sick of it. If you want to live in the way you did before you came here... The don't come here

I recently worked in a fast food restaurant owned by a foreign national, to begin with there was about a half and half mix between the foreign students and Canadians, it was well run, nice place to work and we pretty much got along, suddenly the owner started advertising for help only in his own language newspaper, as the usual turnover took place all the new hires were of his nationality, students who were limited to 20 hours per week wound up working more hours than the full time workers which in my books left me wondering how much studying they were getting in, Covid hit, I asked the boss if he was going to sign up for getting us paid instead of laying us off, he said he wasn't eligible for that program and laid us off, after he laid us off he applied for and got on the program, suddenly names the Canadian supervisor had never seen working for us appeared on the payroll and mysteriously when we got back to normal and got called back they never did appear in our restaurant. I'm not a racist, have always loved working with other nationalities, but rules are there for a reason and need to be enforced, a lot of folks are taking advantage of our lax enforcement. If you want to work in Canada you should apply for the permit before you come, if you come as a student you need to be a student, if you come as a refugee you should declare that status before you get on a plane. When we have people living on the streets and in cars because housing is not affordable we need to question how many folks we are bringing in.

First of all great video. As a Canadian to immigrants I have a few things to say. Most Canadians are either first generation Canadian or perhaps second generation. The major gripe I have is my parents came here, respected the culture, contributed very hard while also embracing others. Not to mention didn't break any law. Now the major issue is many immigrants (not just Indians) come here and are infesting our country with what they claim to have hated in their own country. At the end of the day the government has handled the immigration status horribly. A few bad apples do not warrant the rest. You touched on it best. Stereotypes is something all humans do. I know many Indians that truely hate other Indians. \n\nMy only advice to anyone wanting to go to a foreign land is respect the culture. Become a productive contributor, learn the language, embrace the new chapter.

Germany is no recommendable for foreigners, at all. They wou;d have to embrace english accepted for international workers, relax the burocracy and solve the shortage of housing. Yes it is a rich country but the system is not made to wellcome foreigners. .German language is ridicoulously full of conservative rules that not even the germans dominate but you are imposed to speak it. Go to an english speaking country or to the Netherlands, Luxembourg,,,,learning the German language properly takes around 5 years ..for one word you know in german you need to learn many more because german language loves precision and according to the situation the word or expression will change appart from unexplicable gramatical rules, ...too long time to learn , if you are highly qualified , you have no time for this full time german language learning. you can learn a whole new career with that time. Friendliness, mmm also not so. they have different values, less emotional, no emphatetic. Best go to a more profi counry welcoming internationals and key tip: they accept english for work even if you do not speak the local language. Real international countries tolerate that you start working in english, while the local language you learn it with the time and only If you choose to stay long term. they do not asume that you will go for staying long term, they know you have the choice to leave. But Germany request you invested already such a long time learning German, and you still do not know if you wish to stay in Germany forever....

Many issues mentioned apply to anybody not just foreigners, anybody in germany hates it equally. There are many topics from immigration, language, housing, healthcare, schooling, etc. that are ill-managed in my opinion and that creates a lot of tension in society. Todays politicians are mostly a highly overpaid joke, disconnected from reality.

Im my experience as a German the “unskilled” foreigners usually learn German pretty fast while the “skilled” somehow expect that everything needs to be in English. I get that learning languages can be hard, I speak 3 and am currently learning Portuguese. But it’s just a necessity if you really want to live in a place for a longer time. I haven’t yet visited a country where once you leave the urban areas you get along well with English. I’m often shocked how little German a lot of people speak that have been working here for years. If I go to Brazil for example I don’t expect everything to be in English, I try to make use of my little Portuguese and am grateful for people that do speak english. I think a lot of the issues stem from comparing Germany to UK, US, Canada that are native English countries. Or small countries like the Netherlands that have to use English as a primary language in many businesses because there are just not enough dutch speakers.

Canada used to have a fairly sane immigration policy - immigrants needed to have a level of education and/or skills that would contribute to areas of Canada's economy and growth - skills or education in fields where there was need for people. Part of the problem now is that so many people are allowed in as refugees, with no usable or useful skills. Another part of the problem is that Canada does not have the infrastructure to accommodate so many more people - we should first build the infrastructure, then allow just the number of people we can house and employ. Another policy should be that our local and provincial governments should have decision making authority where immigrants settle. Huge influxes of people into already crowded urban centers makes no sense - immigrants need to be told what areas of Canada they may go to.\n\nNo culture or group can maintain identity and stability if overwhelmed by large numbers of outsiders. We should limit immigration to the number of foreign cultures and languages that can be successfully integrated into our society.

There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. The trend of migration from Canada to the US would only increase much more in the future as it is going currently, and its role as a stepping stone to migration to the US could increase. The way this would be seen by many in Canada is that they are losing valuable people to the USA whom they consider assets, since a lot of officials have been trying to bring in more people into the country, but not everyone wants to stay in Canada nowadays because of a lack of jobs and opportunities. Canada is quite laissez-faire about migration, with Toronto being a sanctuary city as well.

Your observation of Asian migration is mirrored here too. It changes everything about your day to day and long term experiences and life chances. All life hs about creation and sharing of resource. Nobody speaks the same language safety at work compromised. I become excluded from planning risk assessments and u become other’d. Work practices and standards are different. Rules at the work place , different. Their religious rights alters the shared experience but allows for bad prsctice. Walking around talking on your phone all day is dangerous, exclusive, un professional discourteous and isolating. Safety gear ppe all different rules too. We are living in parallel realities. Its all short term and oppositional. Used to be called unworkable ! Thecommunity becomes Asian. Rules at council level alter bemteeen racial cultural preference. Parking on pavements before migration: dangerous, illegal, banned, fines penalties car removal. Where I live (Asian community) cars parked with Asian wardens waving the others by and creating traffic chaos, blocked un passable walk ways and pavements it breaks all the rules we were fined for, but a new norm without question in this community. Its isolating and disorientating but hey, its the new way. I think India has a lot to offer the world . And we have had a lot of it arrive , too much, according to many. This without anyone asking, discussing, debating, informing, admitting to the native populous. Its polite if nothing else, to respect the customs and the hosts of the place u arrive. Reality — these migrants bring their whole culture, family, friend group, political beliefs, problems and traditions with them. Humans and our stuff .\nFor government's to manage this project in such a sneaky and secretive way, adds to the problems.

I am Canadian and I work in an area with a lot of foreign student labour. This is an accurate summary of the situation. I have some college education, and I noticed many Indian students are going to private colleges a distance away. I believe the colleges aren't properly vetting these students in order to allow more in and collect more money from them. International students pay more to go to school in Canada. These young people unfamiliar with a western education system don't understand things aren't being done properly, but the bad reputation of these schools gets around and these students credentials are worthless. It's sad considering families frequently go into debt to send their kids to Canada. Mass Immigration is ruining housing in Canada because not enough building happend to house the sudden population increase. Canadians access to services such as health care is hindered by the population iincrease. Something as simple as the common language spoken in the country has changed. It is true if the goverment changes the people in the country the goverment has changed the country.

South Asian Indians are fourth generation Canadians and are educated, successful and have assimilated with the European culture. The french lady should see Montreal, it is cool to see Indians, Chinese speaking French. Do you ask why there are too many Chinese in Chinatown? Sadly the new immigration are bad Trudeau policies that India wanted deported back. Others are temporary honest Indian students that are being ripped off by Canadian wrong policies of shameless cash grab. Assimilation for new immigrants could be something in common e.g. free classical piano lessons for everyone in school. Music and language is a great first step in communication. The drug problem has nothing to do with immigration, it is the result of their own culture of drug abuse and bad Canadian policies. I think it is sad that the woman seems to be so negative without realizing the she has to care and use her power for good by demanding that no Canadian should be on the streets, this is why ALL Canadians (especially include South Asian Indians) pay taxes. where is our money going? is not the Canadian Government responsible for the welfare of ALL Canadians? we were the peacekeepers. the fact they don't adapt to the culture is the problem they come here and expect us to cater to them. this is especially apparent in richmond, bc where there is so many chinese that a lot of signage and businesses are exclusively mandarin, meaning a lot of jobs require you to speak a foreign language taking jobs away from canadians

So basically the differences are minor. No wonder many foreigners think of Canada as US 2.0. Because if you need to differentiate Italy from Austria, the difference is obvious: different language, different culture, different architecture, different traditions. You won’t see that in US and Canada. And no one cares what forms of government these countries have. That’s not what makes you a distinct nation. No one thinks of Italy as Italy because of its government, lol.

I'm all for immigration to help a country grow however, what Canada has done is first, bring in too many at once and not INTEGRATED the new comers. \n\nFact is, if you want to go to a country because of their freedom and job opportunity then don't come and try to change the country into what you just fled from!!\n\nAnd this is what has happened. Canada has allowed our laws and even speech change to cater to a foreign culture and political idea. Canada became great for what it was and ways it was not for socialism and other country politics. We've got road sign in Pakistan and some in Mandarin and some in blah blah blah. Too many languages creates divide and this is the other issue. Our own country, a country that designates french or English has signs and communities designated in foreign languages. This is not acceptable and is a cause creating divide. You come, you learn the language and INTEGRATE! We loved our country, you wanted to come for what our country has so don't try to turn it into the country you fled! And stop alienating the people who were here before you. \n\nSo, these are the two BIG ISSUES Canadians complain about. Rightfully so. \n\nI myself don't live in Ontario but find Alberta has become a foreign country and I feel like I am in danger now in my own lands. Integration is so important, and Trudeau bringing in millions in a short time line did not integrate but now caused a great deal of violence and many new comers confused and hateful to Canadians when they simply don't understand that what they have done is not integrate but are overtaking and we feel at war with them.

Not only are they entering illegally, many that are in the U.S. illegally or legal are just looking at there phones and not even attempting to assimilate and learn English. I have noticed that almost every foreign speaking person is just looking at their phones and listening to media in their own language. If I was seeing some watching English media or at least trying to learn the language it would at least be a step in the right direction, but they ignore everything in English! Social media has a stranglehold on American culture!! There are several Spanish speaking groups being brought in to work in retail and grocery stores and it's just the same thing, they don't know hardly a word of English. If they come here even legally, they should be learning English, we shouldn't have to learn Spanish in our own country or whatever language they are speaking!!!!!Speak English or go back to your own countries, your culture is not our culture! Learn our laws, our history and our ways or stay out of our country!!!

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

Why are we taking so many foreign students from India and altogether immigration from India? Punjabi is the third most spoken language of the Parliament of Canada. So here you have an answer to the question. It is a very strong lobby.

The other areas that experience the housing Price shocks are places also where foreign students tend to flock to, especially those from Asian nations like China.\n\nCanada’s BC Vancouver, Edmonton, Manitoba, and Calgary tend to cater to willing Indian, Pakistani, Central Asian, Hong Kong Chinese, Singapore, Japanese, Malaysian, and Taiwanese parents willing to spend big money to educate their kids in Canadian English language programs that the Canadian governments organized with educators. \n\nSpending well over five figures a year in order to educate these young kids to grasp English and eventually have a pathway to citizenship like South Africa’s Elon Musk. The CCP was Party to these programs till Xi’s second term of rule and the huge budget deficits occurring due to the transference of Chinese domestic spending happening overseas especially in Canada and Australia caused the CCP to stop this growing deficit in household spending within the Chinese domestic economy. They couldn’t allow these newly minted millionaires to raise their kids like elite CCP party members families and friends. \n\nThey tried to stop it, but the Canadian taxpayers raised complaints about soaring property, and income taxes to their politicians and it’s slowed this process down but loopholes still exist and it is still occurring. \n\nThe top party leaders of China sending their kids to expensive European and USA institutions such as Xi’s children especially his Harvard / Oxford educated daughter, whose fiancée is a British citizen involved in all trades, China’s evolving EV industries! There is No labour shortage! Data shows there's more people looking than there is work. People are lining around the block for low-paying jobs. Dollararrma had 2000 applicants in Waterloo for a lead cashier job. I've never known the job market to be so competitive with multiple tests, assessments and interviews for entry-level gigs. And its getting increasingly hard to get a job without speaking a foreign language. Why is mass immigration needed if they take our jobs and housing? The government says we need their tax dollars to support social programs but our social programs have declined a lot in the past decades despite mass immigration. It costs millions to process these immigrants. All immigration should be halted immediately and the processing costs used to conduct a study to determine what if any benefits we really get from this. Most countries don't take in half as many immigrants and manage just fine. People are struggling to find work and housing and the economy seems to be suffering not benefitting from immigrants. I feel for people in war-torn countries but we have been than generous to immigrants and our own citizens are hurting as a result.

Same here at Europe, especially Germany and Austria. Our safety and wealth is massive decreasing because of this. Living is now crazy expensive because so many migrants searching cheap homes, and there is so much more violence in the cities. \n\nSoon we will be more foreigners than nationals, people are already leaving the country because the culture is changing, you barely hear your own language and the crime rate is crazy. We once were a Christian country, but nowadays it feels like you are in the middle of Islam.

They need to learn the local language. That goes for immigrants in Brazil too. This also goes for foreigners in countries like Colômbia and Ecuador. Nothing against foreigners, but many will work for cheap wages, thus keeping real wages down. Be a Great person without doing anything! \nWe want to be good neighbors, but my room is just too comfy. Let’s use migrants and help them out, immigrants can do all the labor-intensive and poop work so our healthcare workers can focus more on the health of the patients. This will reduce hospital bills since labor is a major cost to any business. We will also all receive better care at the hospital. \n \nUS companies and foreign companies are building factories in India or in Mexico when the same workers are at our doors. Let's build them here in the USA and we English speakers will have to manage them unfortunately since that’s the language of the Country. If you speak Spanish and English, you are going to have many jobs. \nEverything important should be made in America with all these workers. We can all have our own factories and business and exploit cheap labor flocking to our Great Country. If War we're ready! \nIf we ever have another World War first one to go are minorities and poor people so, not only does it provide us with a bigger army, but you might not be first to get drafted. Not only that but because we have immigrants we would have stronger ties to those immigrant countries which can come in handy later. You're not correct about the Quebec government banning the hijab - actually they ban all forms of religious expression in clothes worn at work by public servants - so don't criticize us unless you get the facts straight. All countries are facing public health crisis especially in the aftermath of a global pandemic, you mention how long it could take to get an MRI - weeks/months, but it's no worse than in the UK, or other western countries. I do agree with you about limited competition in banking and tech - but we're still a young and growing country, however, look at the global recession that took place in 2007 - Canada was least affected by mortgage default, the US was hit the worst and hundreds of thousands had their homes foreclosed by the Banks, yet in Canada because of our strict banking policies we were saved and the Banks worked with defaulters to try to keep their homes. Taxes, well most countries require you to file your own taxes at the end of the year - what's so strange about that? Yes sales tax is added onto the sales price depending on what province and what you are purchasing, same as US, just because it's not the same in Europe doesn't mean it's worse! Listen, when you're a newcomer to any country you need to fit in when looking for a job, put in the effort, take the time, do the work, any country is going to expect you to be able to speak the language and know the lingo, so I don't agree with your analysis that Canadians are risk adverse! You are 100% correct about the housing crisis, listen it's been going on everywhere for decades, and international investors in the past 10 years or so woke up and noticed that Canada was a great bet for investment, so the problem got really bad. The government just passed a 2 year moratorium on non Canadians buying real estate - as have many other countries, so fingers crossed no more new foreign landlords just regular Canadians buying their first homes, let's hope so!! I've lived many years in Europe - and I loved it! But the quality of life in Canada is better. If you don't live in the crowded city you can have a nice property with lots of space, good roads, not bad school system, very friendly and helpful people. Quebec has some of the best food on the North American continent, we have clean air and lots of water in Canada - I'm very happy here, so don't be so negative please!

I was born in Quebec, I grew up there, studied, worked, lived almost all my life, except for a few years in Toronto and Ottawa for studies and work, where I never really felt at home, but like in a foreign country. I love Quebec, its history, its culture, its language, its way of life and Quebecers in general. I get used to its climate, its six months or so of winter, but still with nice, hot summers. I also put up with the high cost of living due to the multiple taxes to be paid, the highest in North America, which means that, paradoxically, it still costs less to live here than elsewhere in Canada and to the social safety net Quebecers benefit and which is the envy of many citizens elsewhere in the country. The shadow on the board: the hostility and racism of English Canada, including most Anglophones in Quebec and the allophones who join this recalcitrant community towards Quebec and Francophones in general, the ambient wokism, the complacency of the mayor of Montreal, Valérie Plante, who has transformed the city into a huge bike path, Justin Trudeau's hypocrisy regarding Quebec legislation for the protection of language and secularism, which he intends to challenge before the Supreme Court of the country . If I weren't so attached to Quebec, these would be the main reasons that would make me leave Quebec, but to go where, like the wandering Canadian of song, banished from his homeland... Where? Any informed suggestions?

To keep citizens a priority over the influx of immigrants and refugees Denmark had cut welfare benefits to illegal immigrants and refugees and many began leaving to more profitable countries (in benefits). Why has our country not put something like that in place? It definitely would sort out those who came for the 'freebies'.  ~ Denmark's ‘integration benefit'  measure was a significantly lower benefit level being offered to people who have resided in Denmark for less than seven of the past eight years. Foreigners will also receive a financial incentive to learn the language. These were 'integration benefits'. Citizens who have lived outside of the EU (or country?) for seven of the past eight years were also subjected to the new rules. The purpose, to make Denmark a less attractive destination while making it more attractive to work and contribute to Danish society.  It reduced the flow in to a more manageable number.

I agree that racism exists in Canada in a subtle form. In my experience people would have more discrimination towards minority with foreign accents. I have heard from other people commenting immigrants 'this person has accent' and to me, it can be perceived negatively. Sometimes I feel I am treated differently because I have accent, especially at working environment. Few years ago I worked in school and my white boss put this on my yearly performance: Your 'emerging' English skills can have negative impact to children's language development. I didn't tell this to anyone but was very disappointed as we are a diversified country with so many immigrants, and this should not come out from an educator's mouth.
