He TOLD you he was going to do this. \nYou ppl who voted for him KNEW his past history. He’s a proven liar, a cheat, a fraud, a scammer, a sexist, a predator of vulnerable women, & a convicted felon..\nAnd more than anything else, he’s a BULLY! He uses his words with his bull horn & public media to speak against anyone who opposes him to try to subtly motivate his MAGA hounds to attack the ppl & their families that actually tell the truth about him. I am American independent voter who vote against Treasonous Trump this past election of 2024 in favor of Kamala Harris. While many of my fellow Americans voted for Trump many others like me did not. Now so many good and event Americans are going to suffer because of many Maga or Maga supporting Americans who foolishly chose to support Trump and his lies. Any pain and suffering Anti Trump supporting Americans, along international American Allies and theuir people, suffer will be squarely on the shoulders of Maga and Maga supporting Americans.\n\nHow Trumps first term wasn’t a wake up call and eye opener to how terrible he was and is as president is beyond me. He, treasonous Trump, did nothing to help our economy which essentially stalled or went into generally neutral state with essentially no growth positively or negatively, followed by a near complete nose dive due to Treasonous Trump’s poor handling and equally poor response to the Covid-!9 Pandemic. How people could seemed to forget that Treasonous Trump, not Joe Biden, was responsible for the current sate of things following the pandemic is beyond me. \n\nMaga and Maga supporting Americans have been conned again by Treasonous Trump, who not only failed to properly respond to the Covid pandemic but also incited and or encouraged many of Maga supporters to essentially attack the US Capitol in hopes of stopping Joe Biden’s Presidential Certification. Those in the Inter national world are not alone in their condemnation of the disgrace and embarrassment that sis current US President Trump. True Americans who believe in our constitution and rule of law as decreed by the founding fathers of our nation must unfortunately bare part of the shame Maga America has brought upon our country as a whole.Truly good and decent Americans must bare the shame of now living in a country that much International world now no longer trusts and has lost respect for. For all the hateful Maga thinking and or supporting Americans there are as many truly good non maga Americans who want more peaceful relations with allies in the international world. All I can say is I am sorry, embarrassed, and ashamed of my broken country's politicians in Washington, D.C. at present. But it wasn't the $Billionaires who voted Trump into office, it was the millions of MAGA Morons, the very people who are now losing their jobs in thousands as Musk takes an axe to everything. Tariffs on America's main trading partners means that the American consumers, many of them MAGA Morons, are going to be hit a lot harder in the pocket as prices on their goods rocket. Agree with Trudeau here, and as a Canadian conservative, that’s not something I say easily. But let’s get real here. Trump is NOT a smart guy. He has cratered most businesses he’s started, he has no understanding of economics whatsoever and he speaks like a five-year old. Conversely, here in Canada and around the world (including many in the US who are voicing heir support here) we have A LOT of smart people and an enormous amount of good will, and we will persevere and overcome. He has taken hundreds of billions of dollars from the US and has no plan for peace in his nation…Pres Trump says enough is enough, and he is trying to not only end the war, but recoup massive amounts of money we wrongly gave through a deal for natural resources. We are proud to have Prime Minister Trudeau lead the charge against the bombastic Trump trade war. It is unlikely that our MAGA Conservative leader, Pierre Poilieve, currently supported by Elon Muskrat and many of Trump's cronies, could ever deal with a trade war that would defend Canada.

I taught intro to micro and macro economics at a junior college in rural ohio. I was amazed at how many students could not tell me what are the three branches of government. \n\nThis is one of those communities that voted heavily maga. The corollation between ignorance and trump support speaks for itself.

Is the goal to deport every undocumented person or to destroy our economy? Seems they will achieve both at the same time. I wonder how many Trump supporters know that Trump properties still avoid hiring Americans. Even Truth Social outsources their coding to Mexico. Trump hates hiring American workers. MAGA is only for him, not you.

What most MAGA supporters don't realize is that we're currently living in Trump's economy. The reality is that while he wasn't in office, he used the House as his own personal veto to block any substantial legislature from passing under Biden/Harris, so it makes them look incompetent. The economy bottoms out, countries go to war, the border explodes. I won't say it's all Trump's fault, however. As with the border, just like when Trump wanted to get rid of Obamacare but didn't have anything to replace it, Biden removed Trump's border policies with nothing to replace it. At least Trump didn't get rid of Obamacare without having something to replace it. Just too many mistakes on Democrats part, and too much interference from Trump from the outside. Now Trump will have unchecked power, just one step closer to a dictatorship.

Anyone with a modicum of sense will realise that what is proposed, or rather, what Trump promised his mad supporters, is impossible. I heard some MAGA clown claim that the plan was to remove 22 million people. Does he not realise the effort it will take to achieve. The ‘sermons’ he delivered were simply for effect. He must have known, even as the idiot he is, that the machinery does not exist to effect the policy. We had a similar experience in the UK over the decision to leave the European Union. The impression was given that, on the morning after a Leave vote, the matter was resolved. That was in 2016. We are now in late 2024 and many of the so-called problems caused by our membership of the Union still exist.\nThe American proposals were made by Trump, a liar. The most vociferous advocate for our Leaving was also a liar, Trump’s bosom pal (I get the impression he is closer to him than he is to the ex-call girl who is his wife) Nigel Farage.

Don't listen to the media, they just reporting it to make it look sense. Let's look at the facts. Kamala Harris had the momentum, full rallies, support from Republicans, 60% of women's support, raised 1 Billion dollars, won the debate, endorsed by so many people, enthusiasm among democrats vs Trump empty rallies, losing support from Republicans and Maga supporters, was losing 100k votes against Nikki Haley, insulted the Puerto Rican who were keys voters in Pennsylvania plus in 2020 Biden won by 81 MILLION VOTES vs Trump 74 MILLION VOTES and you are going to tell me That Trump swept all the swing states including Pennsylvania with more than 150k votes and Georgia with 100k more votes when last time he lost by 11,000 and now Trump won by 72 MILLION VOTES AND Kamala ONLY HAD 67 MILLION VOTES? That's 14 MILLION LESS VOTES. Really? Who she was running against to JESUS? A RED WAVE? Maybe if Democrats and Indenpent were so upset with Obama. Biden, Kamala Michelle, and Republicans were so in love with Trump I could see A red wave BUT that was not the case. GTFOH with Trump winning this big like he was Ronald Reagan. FBI needs to Investigate this before they all get fired when Trump takes office and shut down the investigation like they did in 2016

I live in Quebec and love winter, but I do sometimes dream of living somewhere like Hawaii or California where I could eat ripe avocados and grow so much food all year round. I could build a tiny home (less regulations - so much red tape here - and cheaper bc less need of insulation and heating) and go swimming every day. This is pretty idealistic though, and could probably do these things in non-american countries. Would I consider moving to the United States? Sure I would consider it. Would I though? Probably not. Why? Similar reasons to many folks in this country:\n- lack of women's rights (still growth to do here too)\n- lgbtqia+ discrimination (here as well, but definitely to a lesser extent)\n- racism (we have this here too though... just maybe less nazis?)\n- guns (this terrifies me... anyone I know who has a gun here has it only for hunting and it's locked up in a gun case, which I think is required, when not in use)\n- healthcare (though I'm not in love with our system... I'm currently on a huge waiting list for an mri, the waiting lists to get a doctor are obscene, and can't access dental or mental health support... some of our hospitals are in such poor shape...)\n- politics and MAGA (terrifying that so many people think like that... though our political parties are pretty fucked up too... just not to the same extent)\n- school systems that teach kids the world is as old as the Bible says\n- police and prison industrial complex (seems less personal and terrifying from the outside)

I've been to 30 states in my many decades of travel. The US has become a scarier place over the past 20 years. The politics is very partisan, Evangelicals have expanded their influence resulting in less tolerance of others, gun violence is insane, the poor are very, very poor with no way out, the very, very rich don't want to share at all (contrary to Christian teachings), the US version of capitalism verges on slavery (certainly not what Adam Smith envisioned anyway), the race issues are becoming simply stupid, the MAGA supporters and the socialist far left and wokeness are simply beyond comprehension . . . overall, tolerance for differences is becoming lost. People on the left and the right are equally are to blame. \n\nOne of Canadians' favourite activities is to crap on America(ns). This is unfair. There are wonderful places in the US and wonderful people. Collectively though, I think the US is coming apart at the seams. Canada certainly has its warts and our politics and society is becoming polarized too. But overall I'd say, Canada is friendlier, less violent, not as bigoted, more open minded, fairer, much less hierarchical, and more educated with regard to what's happening in the world. I do like the entrepreneurial bent to the US but its version often comes at a huge cost to people.
