Trudeau ruined Canada….drugs, crime, now shootings in schools, lack of mental health care. NDP taxing the working class in BC….where did BC money go?? Crime at its worst….Pollution on hwy, back roads, speeding out of hand, dirty outhouses for tourists to gag at…..damaged trails not repaired…..BC housing to expensive for younger generations, lack of good paying jobs. NDP re elected….our budget received a “D”….funny how we ignore people living on streets or in tents “full of garbage”….theft issues with businesses even broken windows, fire issues. …..sad how BC is….born in BC 65 soon and this is not the BC I grew up in. Last 11 years deaths from drugs, has been excepted as a society…..no jail time for hard core criminals…..this is the reality behind the areas that are kept nice or had money invested into…..small towns were ignored…..little growth…or expansion ….list goes on ….so keep it real BC…why do we accept this as the “new normal”….? Where did our money go to…if you make over 50k…you’re being taxed more!! Yet food , and being taxed on every move we make down to water…..now more off working class people.

Learn from Gulf countries open your markets let young, educated people come to your country establish businesses, provide you services and if possible, they will bear children for you to increase your population. Charge them yearly for visa health fee etc. and as soon contract finishes send them back home or keep good ones who are beneficial to your economy give them citizenship. I heard why the government did the immigrants wrong. I was talking to an uber driver and my pharmacist. They told me the promises of luxury in Canada has and offered for them to live a better lives. They didn't know after they came here for work and or college/university they become in major debt. They said that they're in a luxury debt and never getting out of debt knowing that they're stuck in Canada and can't be allowed to leave unless they pay off the debts. That's 100 % wrong to do that to people when they know they don't feel welcomed and want to go home. I'm a metis Canadian and I had to leave Ontario to find affordability and miss my home. GOVERNMENT THIS IS YOUR FAULT AND YOU KNOW IT! Let them go home in debt. You made this mess. FIX IT! Including the baby boomers that made the problem started 8 % rate interests to buy houses. That was a mistake that should be bought 1 house and nothing else. I forgot to add something. The uber driver told me that india doesn't know that it's a debt luxury trap that you can't leave unless you pay your debt. He felt alone and found some people and the internet to make himself feel better temporary. TEMPORARY! He hates it here, but he respects Canadians. He feels sorry for the new ones that are coming to become debt trap. It's the same for the pharmacy. She got into college to be a pharmacy and bought the store. She is on low income but doesn't qualify for any supports like benefits to pay off her medical things. The reason she can't because they'll see the pharmacy store is income. Wait what? So she doesn't quilify for benefits because she's making income to pay off her massive loan to do her job. It's not enough to live by as what she told me. She also does misses home, but also traped in luxury debt. This is what I have learned so far. I went through a car accident and coudln't get out of the car. I thought in Brampton, Ontario was the rudest people on the planet, but was saved by the angels of indian people saved me out of the vehicle from the smoke. I still thank you! There is still good people out there and some are stupid people out there. Keep it up because being kind gets you to be positive to others and make things better when the world is fcked right now.

I'm a born and raised Canadian, as well as my husband. Even before our country was completely taken over, employment was hard to come by because of the fw's. 8 years ago, my husband had enough with trying to find a job, he stopped counting at over 450 resumes that were ignored, so he decided that we should start our own company, a small delivery company that 2 years later, we added a safe ride service to (driving drunk people home in their own vehicle). I was the manager of a little pizza place, which was run by immigrants, but good ones. I was hired because my husband approached them about doing deliveries, and they wanted to meet me. I had no idea I was going for an interview but they begged me to work for them, their reason; although they could speak English, they weren't fluent in it, so they wanted an English speaking employee who could easily understand the customer's. Within days, I was promoted to manager, and I loved my job and all of them. They treated everyone with such kindness and generosity. I found out just how much support they got from our government, when I broke down one day because I couldn't afford my prescription. My boss was so confused because he and his family got free prescriptions, dental, eye care, etc and they thought everyone got that. My boss paid for my prescription and actually apologized to me for how our own government treated us. He also showed me that they get $2,500 every 2 weeks, funding to start or buy businesses, but if they don't hire other fw's or immigrants, that funding changes to a grant and they have to pay it back. They are given money for housing, and vehicles. He was pushed out of that business by his 2 partners, and the partner's promised him I would keep my job. That was a complete lie. They stopped putting me on the schedule, claiming financial problems (bs), but hired not one but two new full time immigrant employees. I lost it and quit. Our town isn't that big, and word spread fast, especially when everyone found out that I was still owed over $2,000, which I will never see because no government agency will help me. Their business is actually struggling now and I love that for them. As for my husband and I's business, it's going strong but I came unglued when we recieved a letter from the government "suggesting" that we hire immigrants. I wrote back, telling them in no uncertain terms would that ever happen, and it will be a cold day in hell when one of us steps back so one of the government's favored people can take that money from us because we are the only 2 employees and we're not sacrificing a damn thing for someone who already gets everything.

Yeah, keep putting more taxes on everything. Keep taxing income and property that has already been taxed. Then act surprised when the fertility rate drops that low! So then you bring in migrants who will reproduce like crazy. Then you need to collect even more taxes, robbing your hard-working population to provide for them, and you get even more surprised. But of course, you know exactly what you're doing. Those low-quality migrants are your future voters. That's why your asses in the government seats aren't going to be replaced anytime soon. Good job, liberals! Just remember, the branch you're sawing off now is the one you're sitting on. Your fall is inevitable; it's only a matter of time.

Problem is the people keep electing liberal progressive woke making policies against its own people. Till people wake up you all going to the drain. We here in US at lease hold the line for a while with Trump in office hoping the next one will continue his fight for his people. Canadians are the one to blame and not this politicians. Apply for US citizenship, it will take a little while for the paperwork to go through but eventually it will. Anybody with half a brain and a good attitude can earn a six figure income and keep 80% of it as take home pay after tax (graduated tax brackets and standard deduction averages your rate much lower). Add in our investment options and minimal tax on that and you'll realize paying for medical insurance and your own retirement is not a big deal in fact you end up with a lot more money doing it this way vs big government.

As an American Donald Trump was a mistake. It's time for the American people to wake up and admit their mistakes. An inflated ego is not good. My fellow American we don't want a president with an inflated ego, who will never admit his mistake. People will definitely die because of this fool of a man. Imagine 5 years or 4 years of this. I can go on for many paragraphs but what's the point since I firmly know that my point will be proven in less than a year. Don't forget the employment rate keeps rising, inflation is rising. No wages increase for the citizens of the country. Medical and Medicaid will be cut as well as social security. Mass layoffs, it's also not easy to get a new job. Well I think we will have to migrate to other countries but that will not help. The only solution is to have him removed from the oval office.

All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. Currently every American owes $110,000 because of the accumulated debt of 36.5 trillion.\n\nJustin, how long are we supposed to bend back wards while US has a trade deficit of trillion dollar over the past 20 years. Why cant to you balance the imports and exports so that you don't have to keep taking advantage of USA. CNN did not see the trade deficit every single year for 20 years? what are they talking about? Our news channels have just become political entities rather than looking for the greater good of the Americans. One is for Republicans and others for Democrats - ridiculous. \n\nCanada and Mexico are saying, please stop tariffs, it is going to hurt America. LOL. No it is not. If tariffs were there in 2024, US would have gotten back 15 billion dollar revenue from Canada and Mexico would have paid 46 billion to USA. All this time, this was affecting only Americans and while you are enjoying not paying for your share, you have made US pay by taking loans to pay for the imports increasing our Debt. Yes it has been hurting America for the past 20 years, otherwise how did we accumulate 36.5 trillion debt.\n\nLike Justin said, if Canada can survive while paying 15 billion to USA, of course USA will do fine while collecting the 15 billion from Canada and 46 billion form Mexico. USA will use the revenue generated (total around 250 billion for 2025 form tariffs) to reduce our tax, make things more affordable, inject in to our own businesses and generate more employment.

I have never felt more proud to be a Canadian, it’s a good feeling, I was almost brought to tears earlier thinking about it. And it’s interesting to note that it is overriding the fear of the consequences of Donald’s actions. Here’s where I can’t help but think of you, our fellow North Americans. The good people of the USA, I hold you in my heart. For you don’t have that boost that comes from feeling proud of your country. I can’t say I’ve ever known what that is like. Just so it's known but America has never been self-sufficient. We have always been reliant on others with good trade and fairness towards each other. My grandparents went through ww2 and had to go through rations on everything from gas, oil to food and tires. You got a book for everything and had to tear them out to get your products. But look around your house, I bet most of it says - Made In China. But did you know over a dozen + countries already have & had tariffs on the US for a LONG time, some are even our “ Allies “. Do you know why they do it? To protect their economy. To protect domestic goods. The short term is always the hardest. But it’s been proven that the long run, tariffs actually help a country’s economy. Any time you are on any kind of team, the teammates you want are ones you can trust, ones that will keep their word. One thing that has made the US strong is the allies we have. He have been able to keep these allies because, in general, we have stuck to agreements we have made with other countries historically. If you have an ally that doesn’t fulfill their end of agreements then they are not much of an allie. If Trump is thinking he can “replace” our current allies and just go become allies with Russia—Russia doesn’t have a good track record on following through on agreements in the last few decades.

Congratulations Mr. Trudeau, you finally sound like our Prime Minister should. Now start making this country self sufficient so we don't have to rely on anyone. No more selling off our Crown corporations our land and other businesses to foreign countries. Keep Canada Canadian and give jobs to born Canadians first. Stock pile our oil and gas for our use and lower the prices of these things so that transportation cost make things easier for business and personal enjoyment. I think we have cheaper alternatives in the US. How about 50%. As long as we have 250% tariffs on American goods, I say keep going. We need reciprocal trade and need to fix the border issues also. We lose so many to the fentanyl. Canada needs to make its military contributions also. We don’t need the bs words from this bs guy. Some better leadership can still fix this but when I hear boycotts, I start checking labels also.

It was dumb for you to shut down every project that Alberta had to work with other provinces and trade with other parts of the world. I’m in Seattle and have a vacation home in British Columbia so go there often while renting out other days to other people. Wonder how the tariffs gonna affect this. For example if certain things need to be remodeled in my pad over in BC I usually order from suppliers in USA near the border since I use them for my home in Seattle too. I’m guessing it might get taxed now. Not sure how it will play out. I do know that initially tariffs gonna effect lot of people but do believe in general it will get economy better. I recently saw that Mexico been adding tariffs for years for certain USA goods (for example appliances purchased in usa from Mexico will cost another 27% etc) and it’s time for USA do similar things. Just hoping my burrito cost doesn’t keep going up. Was around 8$ several years back and now it’s 14$ in Seattle ?

Canada will benefit with a strong 10 State influence within 60 United States governance affairs. Benefits are 10 more States on a balanced display welcomed as 10 white stars within the beautiful United States of America field of Blue of our Flag. Other countries will see North America’s Great Power when 60 glorious States, when combined, and working well together, communicating best when communicating with each other only in English, when English is the United States official National Language. No more Government waste of having multi language signage. Another geologically considered North American country, Greenland, with 4 more territories may wish to add four more States, as well as the many existing United States Territories across the globe may desire Statehood. The Sun will never set on the United States. As for 10 Canadian States, think of the  benefit of 20 mostly conservative thinking U.S. Senators which equals a larger majority of conservative votes in the larger U.S. Senate when composed of 120 Senatorial political leaders. 120 U.S. Senators keep the Filibuster procedure balanced. 10 Canadian Provinces converted into 10 United States States equals many more conservative House of Representatives votes enhancing the conservative majority of political leaders in the U.S. House of Representatives. So many good reasons why Canada’s 10 Provinces, with a mostly conservative thinking population of thinkers, should be transformed into 10 new United States States, not just one United States. Yes....10 more States that is the helpful way forward for the United States to have a very dominant conservative thinking population of United States Congress Political Leaders, resulting in a long term more stable United States Congress representing 60 United States, thinking more conservative, thinking more logical, thinking more common sense thoughts, thinking more capitalist job creation thoughts, thinking more tax cut thoughts, are just some of the benefits of having 60 United States of America States on  display, and functioning efficiently going forward for all the World’s Countries to marvel at.

We Canadians are suckers if we're giving billions more to Ukraine. Trudeau needs to go now. As for the tariff, I think we need to strike back hard, and continue the boycott of US goods. If we could, would be great do cut off all energy going to the States, but thanks to Trudeau, we don't have cross country pipelines to do that. BTW, Canada is not responsible for what comes into your country, we're responsible to keep things out we don't want in. That's the way these things are supposed to work, we're not East Berlin.

So, while he may resign within the week once that leadership race is done, he's still technically in charge.\n\nWhat makes that race and the PM's prorogation so bad is that we're in the middle of a crisis - several actually - caused in part directly by Trudeau and his Liberals (and the NDP supporting them). The latest would be Trump's tariffs starting today, March 4, 2025. Trudeau always disappears during a crisis, leaving us to fend for ourselves - (1) COVID, he was at the cottage using every excuse not to be accountable for anything or using unconstitutional powers to crush a protest he didn't know how to handle, (2) Chinese spies, he's ignoring our intelligence service, (3) federal worker strike, he's in NYC at some gala.... I could go on but there's a reason we're hurting so bad.\n\nWe have zero federal leadership, and a federal government that makes things worse for us with things like: over-regulation, subsidizing media to keep us misinformed, nerfing select natural resource sectors but favoring others (oil and gas suffer, while coal is fine... probably because we sell it to China, but I digress), letting criminal out of jail, uncontrolled immigration, passing policies like the FHSA that drive home prices higher and higher, and of course, more and more taxes. I could go on about the billions in taxpayers' money the government blows - it's like a black hole - or the fact that MPs keep getting raises - April 1 is their fifth since COVID - and most federal and government employees are all getting raises at a time when the rest of us are learning to get by with less and less because we're taxed so much and housing, groceries, etc. are so unaffordable.\n\nI have applied for US citizenship. I want to stick around to fix Canada, but I think it's too far gone. We have too many socialists/communists in power and they're not getting voted out any time soon. It's been fun Canada, it's been fun.

All joking aside, Canada has been able to form a symbiotic relationship of mutual benefit with the United States since even before NAFTA 1. But.......... right now it is almost like a 51st state and I do not mean that in a joking way. US states are always competing with each other, but what prevents things like, oh say the American Civil war from happening is the Federal apparatus keeps them in line for the good of the empire as a whole. \n\n If Canada is like a 51st state, then it is competing with the other 50 states in a way that all 50 of them are going to get upset about. So either the states complain, or you treat Canada as an economic competitor. Mexico being behind the United States and Canada is what makes it a good candidate for a symbiotic relationship. For all its problems, Mexico has a Christian population (with some indigenous traits) that goes well with America. Their nations different economic status means we can support them and they can support us doing different things for countries of different development stages.\n\nCanada being so similar to the United States will want that as well and will never outbid the United States. Again this is seen as a hostile economic competitor. \n\nIts not Canada or Americas fault. After 2007 and the lies about fanny and Freddie, leman bros, mortgage backed security's, and a cash shortage that was not real. How was it real if the offshore exchanges did nothing? 2007 was not financial in origin it was our global monetary system seizing up. To say Wall Street greed and MBSs did it would be like saying a single drop of cement turned the ocean to cement.\n\nBut something did. I have been watching you for a long time. And there is always a point you are not addressing in most of what I have heard. You will probably laugh at what I am about to say but please hear me out. The progressives running the policy’s do not only hate America for whatever reason, they hate God. They might not say that and even rebuke anyone who thinks that. I’m not going to get into that, it’s a whole Nother subject, but Jesus said those that hate good or worship being a false Jesus, even though they think they’re worshiping the true God. The problem will not be fixed in your city until you having a big turnaround of leadership. People who are accountable to this constituents. People who love this country, not hated. Only a satanic group could hate this country that gives them every opportunity they could ask for. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. The automotive industry will just come back and have to eat the margin losses until they recoup.
