Keeps seeking for employment depleting their own funds and are unable to find employment for months , and then not even. called for interviews at all , are totally ignored despite forwarding more than 100 resumes gazing at the computer screen for more than eigj6 hours. Browsing through the net for job opportunities, confined to a small room at high costs, finally if and when they are been called for one or two interviews at most despite forwarding more than 100 resumes, at the interviews they will be offered lower than the minimum wage for parttime workers. What a crime\n Here I am talking about fully qualified and experienced, as well as fluent English Speakers, actually better English skills than both of you here presenting this program. What a scam, first they say that English fluency is essential has introduced different Examination to assess the English fluency standard.. it is a big scam...while Canada has favoured immigrants from certain parts of the globe. All these gimmicks are being utilised to discourage the applicants and to force the genuine Credential Holders who could definitely contribute to boost the Economy in a fruitful manner to leave the country and to force them to get back into their home countrues. In that case why did the Federal Governments of Canada created a delusion to migrants from around the globe stating that there is an acute labour shortage in certain high demanding job categories, encouraging all such applicants to apply through the Skilled labour Program introduced by the Federal Government of Canada,. as if there are shiploads of opportunities available just for geabs.\nSuch individuals are driven to state of utter despair or forced to get back to their home countries whereas here the federal Government of Canada is granting Asylum to all sorts of unskilled , uneducated and sometimes no literacy nor basic communication skills in English at all at the expense of the taxes and high tuition fees acquired from the student population as well as PR Holders who has incurred massive expenditure through the federal Government's detailed and tough assessment procedures just to gain entry under the stipulated visa categories. Whilst all such individuals who has made a genuine effort by using their own reserves and during their stay pay high consumer taxes and high rent are being denied to gain employment but certain uneducated hooligans and certain communities are allowed to enter Canada Scot free as Asylum Seekers through the IRCC refugee and immigration act and Asylum Seeker Act.\nHow unfair and unrealistic...\nWhen you present such videos be aware of your content as not only the Canadians are contributing to the Federal Governments tax schemes. Come to Surrey BC! I've lived here all my life, and live about 7km's from the house I was brought home as a baby, so I've never left this city, and I, like that gentleman and lady you talked to, often feel like I am the only Caucasian in Surrey! Go by any elementary school, and you'd find it difficult to see any hair colour than straight black! Like when I went to school, so many now are driven to school by parents or grandparents that where brought over to Canada as well, so traffic around schools very often is chaotic at best! The once peaceful sound of birds singing, is now taken up with sirens, from ambulance and fire trucks, it's hideous! I too would love to move, but we keep asking, 'where'...as we'd like to be in an area with just caucasians, to feel 'at home' again! It's not that I don't like the people, but most in Surrey, are much more well off than the average Canadian, driving high end cars, and even their teenage kids have high end vehicles. So, like many Canadians, I'd just like to see normalcy & common sense once again, and a complete end to immigration, until ALL of our crisis's are taken care of!

Now you’re leaving. \n\nVancouver is a pin point on the map of Canada. Vancouver (and Toronto) isn’t all of Canada, and CBC is hardly the reliable source it once was. If you don’t want to help build Canada, participate in the democratic process, and build a life in Canada, fair enough. You probably should leave.

TFW here, east Asian, a couple of things:\nI am paid the provincial minimum wage, and work in the dairy industry, medium sized farm.\nI started working straight out of high school\n\nFrom what I can see and hear from across the province and largely in the western Canadian provinces, older generation farmers are at the retirement age, but the younger generation is generally very reluctant to take over. \nNot all industries, but definitely in livestock, people sometimes don't realize that, there is literally no breaks, ever! You work every day, holidays, Christmas, and if you do chose to take a few days off, your co-workers, i.e. other family members or workers, have to take up the extra workload. You barely have time for your family, you are often tired around your kids. Farmers have some of the highest suicide rates among all occupations, as well as a difficulty to find partners due to the nature of their jobs.\nThe work is hard, days long, especially during harvests, and if the ever more expensive tractors, equipment fail...\nThere used to be a lot of family owned farms, over the last few decades most have sold their generational farm and left the industry, most because of the cost to operate and because the next generation's unwillingness to take over.\nYong people my age have not been seen applying for my position in a few years now, despite ongoing hiring effort at significantly higher than minimum wage, and I have repeatedly stated that I, although love my job, am ready to step aside at any point so a Canadian PR or citizen can take my position, as required by worker rules. There were a few inquiries from neighboring areas, mostly made by parents, but their children in the end all refused to work, even part time, or seasonal.\n\nOn the other hand, there is the issue of prices: equipment costs have largely more than doubled since the pandemic, grain prices rose... and all that on top of the constant uncertainty of the weather every planting and harvesting season. Most farms don't ever make a profit after the yearly operating cost is deducted from earnings, and the little profit that on occasion appear, goes right back into paying debt or reinvesting in renewing long overdue old equipment.\n\nMy position, and all those similar to mine in agriculture, are in all fairness, very low skilled, with minimum training, and therefore is only worth minimum wage, in my opinion. I was actually offered a higher amount but in the end turned it down because on the job, I discovered the only thing I bring to the table is manual labor (I know that's not really the right way to go about wages, but I do believe that wages should be based on the irreplaceableness of one's skills, and as it stands, although no replacements were ever found, I am very much easily replaceable, skill wise). That, compared to a slightly better paid Starbucks position, with benefits (most farm workers and owners don't have benefits or pension, yes owners too), air conditioning, regular work hours. I mean, if it wasn't for my particular interest for agriculture I'd pick Starbucks any day too!\n\nI think a couple issues are at hand, \n1. Most of agriculture's profit ends up in the corporate processing and supermarkets, that needs to change, workers could benefit, as well as consumers, from distributing that profit between farmers and shoppers.\n2. Agriculture in today's context no longer fit the modern life, although I strongly think that A LOT of people can benefit from getting their hands dirty once in a while and sweating a bit, improve physical and mental health, have better discipline all that jazz. So foreign workers are the temporary solution, if well regulated so that Canadian PR and citizens are ALWAYS prioritized for hire and at a fair wage. This cannot happen unless farmers can turn a profit, stated in point 1.\n3. A new generation of farmers are needed to take over, and they need to be somehow convinced that it is worth the toil, because as it stands, it is not, financially, life style wise. Automation is one solution, although therein lies the huge, foreseeable risk of corporate takeover.\n4. On a specific note, TFW does mandate that workers are provided up to standard housing (not always followed), which puts local workers at a huge disadvantage if they are commuting to work and paying rent, although that rarely happens, and the majority of farms do offer housing to all.\n\n\nI am aware that me being treated up to regulation is not the norm among my TFW peers, which is quite sad and unacceptable. But in my opinion, even if given a leveled playing field, wages , conditions, housing, etc. Canadian citizens and PRs largely will be unable to meet the demand for these jobs, from unwillingness to work really hard physically, unwillingness to live the lifestyle, wanting a career with better prospects... these are harsh words, but I believe to be true, and they also come from a lot of older generation farmers talking about their children and grandchildren. \n\nThis is just in the agri industry, and from what I hear from farmers from all over western Canada : )

Took us 2 years to evict my dads tenant. I was shocked to find out that just getting eviction order isn’t the end, you need a final final eviction notice without return to court and straight to sheriff. AND Peel region only has 2 sheriffs to conduct eviction and that can take 10 weeks plus additional costs. Oh don’t forget, if the tenant claims to have cancer that buys them additional time in unit, and if proven they get at least one year free additional. Canada is a SHITSHOW.

I guess I’ll be having to move to the US if I want any chance of getting housing or work. People who haven’t physically seen the stuff that’s happening here only know the bare minimum. Everything is too expensive, there’s no “Canadian culture” anymore, you can’t get a job, you can’t find a decently priced apartment, rooms for rent (private) are going for 1200$ a month in Toronto (and I’ve seen more expensive). I’m not excited to grow old in the country where I was born as it’s being run straight to the ground. It’s very sad.

Statistics show that half of the new immigrants in the photo op at the end will have voluntarily left Canada within the next 5 -10 years. Many to the US, and most of the rest back to their home countries, as they will find that Canada is not a place to come to to get ahead. Canada is over-hyped for sure. I know, I came to Canada and then left after 10 years to the US, where opportunities are far, far better. Save yourselves a decade of wasted time and come to the US straight away.

I want to ask you guys a question ( I am Canadian born ), but have had a lot of contact with Americans and have spent some time down in the USA. My question is, Do you think Canadians are passive aggressive compared to Americans? Kind of wishy washy? I find in dealing with Americans is that they are straight to the point and tend to cut out the BS.

I understand this is an economics channel, but saying that NO ONE wants to live in Canada because of 3 issues with the economy that most developed countries in the world are dealing w/ is kinda stupid (It's almost like most of the world is in a recession.?) A lot of this data is straight-up wrong or twisted in a way as to be really misleading. The whole video is just full of inconsistencies and is overall extremely critical of Canada to the point of making it sound like a terrible place to live. You could probably find 3 random issues with every single country in the world to make a video about, there's nothing about Canada that makes it as bad as he seems to be trying to make it out to be.

I'm a 28 year old Canadian, I don't want this to come off sounding like a pity party, so I'll keep it brief for all and any of those thinking of moving here. I live with my parents because I could never afford the rent (and I don't even live in a major city like Toronto); my buddies moved in together and paid 1600 a month for a SMALL 2-bedroom apartment and they STRUGGLED to find an apartment. everyone I talk to is struggling and scared about their mortgage payments. My parents built a new home just a few years ago and got screwed over at every turn and on every level, their only saving grace was that their lumber package was locked in so they didn't have to worry about the lumber inflation. the job market is straight up trash and we're taxed through the teeth for every little thing. On the news we see stories about immigrants having to go back to their country because they can't afford to live here or find affordable housing. don't move here, it's shit.

I think everyone is missing the point here. I Don’t support Israel’s retaliation, but I wondered why the Arab world has not taken in a single refugee. Poland didn’t condone Russia’s attack by taking in hundreds of thousands Ukrainian refugees. If Egypt, jordan, Quatar, to name the immediate Arab Neighbors would rally together to get the women and children out of harms way, surely the outcome would be better for these poor people. \n\nSadly this is not the case and it appears as though this conflict will never find a solution, as long as both parties are not able to set aside their millennia aged quarrel, acknowledge each other’s deep roots and belonging to the same land, and accept that they both come from the exact same bloodline. The exact same seed of a man named Abraham. Both parties need not to like or even tolerate each other, but they both need to respect each other’s right to co exist within that space. I’ve heard some disgusting vitriol from both sides, honestly. Both sides have and are behaving like animals. Infact animals are more civil, as their disputes are settled in a more humane manner, without the casualties within their communities. Yet, despite being created in God’s image with the ability of sophisticated communication, both sides are unable to get past their own hurt pride, at least for the sake of the innocent lives that have and continue to be lost on BOTH sides, to finally squash this matter once and for all.\n\nGrowing up I had a cousin . We both were the only Sons of our respective immediate families’, born to identical twin sisters, 3 months apart. From\nA young age everything was competition between us. Who ran faster, jumped higher, threw further. Every thing we did, and we spent a lot of time around each other, was constantly turned into a “who does it better”. This resulted in us usually throwing down as one of us, feeling like we may be on the losing end of any given task, would just get frustrated, and start soccer punching the other. And my cousin and I from the time were off the diary to the day we both matured, would THROW down. We would literally just start throwing punches at each other, it was honestly impressive how we both would manage to land equal amount of hits to look like literal bloody hell, and guess what, even those fights became competition as even our dads would throw money with the others pitching for their favourite. Fortunately, our moms, the only adults in the our community, looking back, people would just pick a side and watch as go at each other, than pull us off each other, would come stomping out of the house grab each one of us by our ears, gives us a good smack in the back our heads and sit us down, look each one of us straight in the eye, and say something like, “cut it out, you two are family, more brothers than cousins” they would demand that we both go hug it out, have a bath, if we managed to do that peacefully then we were allowed to partake in dessert that evening or allowed to stay up a little later watching tv, or whatever . My point with this overtly personal analogy is that both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides should be dragged off each there by their figurative ears pulled, sat down, scolded and reminded of their ancestrial ties to each other and to the very same land. \n\nBe honest with yourselves, some how amongst all this hate, vitriol, unnecessary death of innocent lives, are you, and those you rally with be truly ok with your opposing side coexisting harmoniously beside each other? If the answer to this question is no, the other side can not have any claim to this land and needs to be removed to god knows where, if not off the earth all together then it’s your people, not mine, that are doomed. We’ll still be chilling in North America, horrified at the unfolding events but chilling nonetheless. Although it somehow claims to not be doing so, the actions of Israel demonstrate a gruelling callousness towards Palestinian life or right to life, and the staunch calls of the constant pro Palestine protests, calling for the eradication of Israel, none absent of a deep, hate and disgust towards the Jewish people. Both are in need of serious internal reform. Honestly as a complete outsider, SHAME ON BOTH OF YOU. I don’t care who started it, or who said or did what, at this point it is imperil that this end immediately. And as an outsider, I think it’s is important that pressure be applied to both sides to put their weapons down. I don’t recall the last time anyone even mention the Israeli hostages, putting any pressure on Hamas to do the one thing that would definitely appease the Israelis. In the same breathe, Israel needs to be further pressured to stop being so trigger happy and lay off of it. \n\nI can only hope, I guess. In the meantime i should really refrain from ranting on YouTube.

Fix the government & stop showing the world that Canada is safe heaven for rest of the world. I have seen Ukraine refugees taking money from Canadian gov later leaving back once the money is finished. I have seen people coming to Canada with Gov 40-50K once that is finished they leave. Safe supply is a joke while government is legalizing heroine. Addicted person will not blame the the drugs. They will always find someone else to blame. Fix housing. Stops Blaming students and migrants for your own issues. Drugs are free for addicts and then blaming for skilled people trying to make it here. Move out of Toronto and you'll love Canada! I immigrated last year and like everyone else I went straight to Toronto to find a job. I did find a well paying job but even after that, the city was not affordable. I liked the part that it's easy to find new people and settle in the city because everyone's very open minded and welcoming but the rent al market is absurd! Public transport need a major upgrade! The only thing apart from social life that I liked was toronto's biking culture and community. But taking ttc, specially the subway is scary! Road rage is becoming a norm, no respect for pedestrians or cyclists. The city is broken.\n\nI am now living in London, Ontario, and I feel a lot safer. Fortunately, the renting is still not as bad here but you need to own a car (well, that's just North America) and then you can life a comfortable life.

I came to Canada as an exchange student for a year, but unfortunately I contracted a serious infection which was life threatening. I only had 32 hours to treat it and couldnt find healthcare even in emergency. Luckily, I had return tickets to my home country, so without a single thought I boarded the flight and went straight back home. Eventually I decided dropping out of the whole exchange program because fall semester had already begun and I was still in the healing process.

The single issue I would have would be the healthcare one. But as of now, this year of our lord 2023, Canada is on a slip-n-slip straight to socialist hell. And I would have a difficult time finding any other reason not to choose the US. Even with the health care, since the pandemic - and possibly because of mass firings - our system has been so stressed it's now actually as dire as Americans have always believed it was. On top of that, people in need of life saving surgery's are being refused if they haven't been jabbed, people are literally bring left to die. We have a housing crisis and a homelessness crisis, so what does our government do? Brings in a bunch of economic migrants to further stress our system. All in all, the US would be a much better option today.

McDonalds something most American people know …for one person only it can be around 15 - 20 bucks, in Venezuela, and I think minimum wage rn is around 6.15 bucks and if it’s good it can be around 20 - 30 A MONTH, now apply this formula to EVERYTHING, housing, bills, expenses and I think things in Venezuela for a little bit better not that long ago,so it was worst than what I just told you, imagine you finish college you have somehow of a decent life and for things you don’t understand and no one advise you of, next week your job, money is not even half of the value it had last week, imagine if it was you and your family, your kids…I don’t have kids but I know my mom would’ve done anything for trying and give me not even a luxurious life, but a kinda decent life, and I know most of people would’ve done the same, and not only for your kids, also your mom, dad, sisters, brothers and even YOURSELF…again, I’m not saying this is correct or it’s not I’m just saying at the end our surrounding make us do whatever we are doing….I get you not being okay with this, but try to be comprensible and not go straight into hate for this people. \n\nUnfortunately I wouldn’t imagine anything to solve this problem and I hope something better comes for the entire world right now …but I just doubt it…

The way I see this after watching this documentary for which I am not even an international student, that there are no consequences at all from Canada to those colleges.
