The elephant in the room is the fact that the majority of immigrants come from one country. As someone who proudly escaped Canada I understand the difficulties of adapting and integrating into another culture. It is difficult and it would be far easier if there were just so many Canadians here that none of us have to adapt or learn a new language but could simply live in an insular community of Canadians and transplant our own culture here. When I go back to Canada I see that that is exactly what has happened there.

I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. Almost never seeing any other race but Indian lol. It all has to do with Trudeau's dad designating that city as a go-to place for Indian migrants. The Trudeau's are part of the whole Satanic New World Order, and part of that order is using mass immigration as a weapon to destroy 1st world countries. His father started it back in the 70s. And yeah the driving is absolutely horrible. The car insurance skyrocketed. They destroyed the city I grew up in. It's a shit hole now. Many of them will tell you that India itself is a shit hole, but the more of them that come to Brampton, or wherever, they turn it into India. I don't consider it racism. It's their people but it's not like it's all of them, but it is a lot. From personal observance, they're the most unhygienic people I've ever met, and they love easy jobs the involve scamming others out of money. All of those scam callers are Indian. Nothing else. They have no dignity. No self respect. They just want money and don't care how to get it. I generally don't like them, but it's because of their negative behaviors. There are plenty of other races that come to Canada that people love. Have you ever heard of anyone complain about Filipinos? No. They're loved. They come here and know how to assimilate while keeping their own heritage intact in respect to our own. They're friendly, respectful, hygienic. Indian people just want to come here and make this place Indian and they have tons of kids, so that's exactly what's happening. Brampton was cooked years ago. It's just going to devour itself and fully become an extension of India, and it already has been spreading out from Brampton to the surrounding cities.

Finally someone has covered this! This is the sad reality as to what's happening to Canada. The UK is the exact same. We are being outbred, our jobs are being taken away, and we are being overrun with them. Look at the Canadian government, that's how bad it has become. One common scam they pull is that they will find a job, immediately apply for social welfare, and take time off and still get paid for months without even working. They completely abuse the system which results in actual Canadians who need social welfare benefits to not be able to gain any benefits, because of the amount of scammers that have infiltrated and colonized the country. Canada is screwed completely unless we speak up about this! There are many of us who don't like this and don't want it, but there are many Canadians who are bleeding hearts and weak who just accept it. They're going to outbreed us and eventually completely takeover and completely ruin the country. Canada is not the same place that I remember from my childhood. It has become the capitol of woke ideology, weakness, and completely overrun by Indians. Not to mention that we used to be a Christian country. We used to say Merry Christmas every year, Christian values were upheld and encouraged, now there are Mosques everywhere! There are more Mosques in Canada than Churches these days. Canada has become ruined. The worst part is, that those who come to our country don't even respect our values, traditions, or even attempt to assimilate. They expect us to conform to their ways. We can no longer be Christians because they are Anti-Christian, we can no longer speak English or French, because they hate our language. I have literally been to Toronto and Vancouver and seen the madness unfold, not an ounce of English is spoken or understood in those areas. It's either Chinese or Indian that is spoken. Usually, when you come to another country, you are supposed to conform to that country's values and traditions, not the other way around. Canada has done the complete opposite because of the bleeding hearts in charge of the country. I say screw that and no more! Make Canada Canadian Again! Keep Canada Christian!

This is why when you come to a different country you should try to assimilate. I am all four people keeping their culture alive. I wish as an American I had more of a culture. But for one you should learn to speak the language you can speak your native tongue also but you should also speak the language to the country you’re going to, and the driving issue I’m pretty sure is due to the way they drive in India there’s like no road laws and its insane driving. Canada has lost itself allowing all this mass immigration to happen. Come visit Australia (and particularly the big cities like Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbane) and you'll find exactly the same thing here. I believe it was a temporary program introduced during the pandemic. This whole segment doesn’t delve enough into the background to be sure of exactly who this is going to effect and how. That’s just bad journalism. I’d like to know because I cross the path of many immigrants and care about them. If the federal government’s economic plans work out, there could be more demand for workers in the coming year, especially in and around Montreal - I also pay attention to announcements of companies setting up or expanding here - and this might be another example of the CAQ shooting themselves in the foot again. They seem oblivious that an election is coming next fall.

I'm a Brampton resident. My family immigrated in the late 90s. I grew up on YTV, TVO kids, Fox Kids, Treehouse TV. I also still grew up knowing my own native culture and religion. I attend one of these temples of worship. Despite this, I still made friends with different races of people. I think my community needs to branch out a little more and learn about other cultures that live amongst us. Maybe we need to have a little less pride on where we come from? I don't know what the exact answer is. One thing I know is we can definitely get along. Just need the community to adapt more and actually learn Canadian culture. Maybe go see a Blue Jays game at the Skydom? Maybe know who Wayne Gretzky is?? LOL.

I read the comments first before watching the video, and the negativity was strong. So I watched the video expecting to hear the Indians sounding terrible and entitled, and instead it's obvious they're just like every other group of immigrants who ever came before them, including those from Europe. The guy at 9:35 got lots of negative comments, but it's clear that he's the typical inspirational immigrant story, coming here, studying and working hard, and eventually achieving his degree, which brings him a better life in a prosperous country, the exact same thing Europeans came to Ellis Island for 100 years ago. And they also created Irish, Italian, Greek, etc. enclaves withing major cities. Also they say Brampton only had 18,000 people 50 years ago, and are upset that now it has 750,000, and all the growth has been from Indians. So then what's the problem? They didn't even displace anyone, they just moved to an area that was previously a small town on the outskirts of Toronto, and is now a major suburb. That growth of suburbs has happened over the last 50 years in every city in North America, from both domestic and immigrant people choosing to settle there. Did you expect a town that close to Toronto to experience zero growth over 50 years?!! While every other suburban area on the continent grows? If so, then you clearly aren't the brightest bulb.

I came here 25 years ago from India. While growing up, I would go to the terrace of my home and turn the antenna to get Cbc at night. I watched Air Farce One, the green show, NFB and Cbc and was always fascinated with Canada. I knew then when I was 20 that I will make Canada home. I wrote my IELTS ENGLISH test, studied here with good grades. And I did. I have an amazing career and young kids. And I have loved everyday of it. My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

No it is NOT hard to believe this is going on. When you elect a criminal who floats the rule of law and the Constitution, this is exactly what you should expect. So how exactly are they coming into NY? Northern Border has the Great Lakes and Lawrence River so they can only come across from the Port of Entry at Niagara Falls. And there they are very strict ( at least in my time) about entry. The only other way they could come across by land is from other states far to the West.

As a trans person seeking to escape trump, what is the best course of action? I'm trying the proper route through the immigration process but with how rapidly things are declining in the states for queer people so is it better to take the asylum route or wait the process. I'm personally done with the states and have 0 desire to stay here or ever come back, however what shows that the exact thing happening here wont move it's way up north in the future?
