It's hard for Carney to soar with the eagles when he's surrounded by turkeys, retreads, incompetents and Liberals clearly in over their depth. Are they not even utilizing all these consultants we're being billed for ? I'd say put Sean Fraser in, he's got good hair, but he's already botched the immigration file once. You three pundits are right on the money with all your points. In the spirit of cooperation why doesn't Carney just put Michelle into the portfolio ? These Liberals are botching everything they touch. In an ideal world Carney should cross the floor, become the Conservative's lead Trump negotiator and we could dump the rest of the Liberal party in recycling, where the vast majority of them belong....including you Fanjoy

Carney put an incompetent in this Immigration role. He wants millions of new immigrants to come to Canada. While they may have lowered student Visas and temporary worker permits, VISITOR PERMITS are probably being given out in the millions …. ONCE these ‘visitors come’ - they are NEVER followed up to ensure they go home. It is these people applying for refugee status or asylum .. in the millions …. Liberals want this uncontrolled immigration - with no checks and balances .. because these are the millions of new votes they are getting. Who can check on VISITOR visas and the numbers coming in and going home? I think this is the gap …????

I wonder if it was Carney's strategy to purposely put an incompetent person in charge of this file. That way she takes the blame for everything that Miller, Fraser, et al were responsible for and screwed up on over the last decade.
