I live in Nashville, TN USA. I am so sorry Canada is suffering due to Trump. I do not support this move on Trump's part. I never voted for him. I have known for many years he is a dangerous narcissist. Canada is our friend. You have come to our aide in times of trouble. Our forest fires, 911 when the planes hit our twin towers. Trump wants a 4.5 Trillion dollar tax cuts for the wealthy. He sees tariffs as a way to make up some of that money alone with huge budget cuts to many of our programs. Trump is an unreasonable person who only thinks about himself. I hope he will eventually be impeached. I do not blame Canada. I blame Donald Trump and the the Republican Congress. This is a coupe going down in our country and it is sad to watch. Take good care.

Example: \nOn Jan 6, 2021, Trump encouraged an attack on the Capitol, but the military did not intervene on his behalf. \n3⃣ American Democracy is Deeply Embedded in Culture \nUnlike Russia, where people are used to strongmen leaders, Americans are culturally resistant to dictatorship. \nU.S. citizens, journalists, and activists openly resist government overreach, making it harder for an authoritarian to rise. \nFree press and independent media make it difficult to spread unchecked propaganda the way Putin does in Russia. \n? Example: \nTrump was impeached twice, showing that Congress still holds power over the president. \n4⃣ Trump’s Path to Dictatorship Would Require More Control Over Elections \nPutin rigged elections, eliminated opponents, and rewrote laws to stay in power. \nTrump has tried to change voting laws and delegitimize elections, but the system still blocked him. \nIf Trump could fully control elections, he could remove opposition and rule indefinitely. \n? Example: \nHe’s trying to install loyalists in key election positions for 2024, but this does not guarantee full control. \n5⃣ Could He Still Try? Yes. Could He Succeed? Unlikely (For Now). \n✔ Trump has authoritarian instincts and wants more power. \n✔ He is trying to weaken institutions to increase control. \n✔ But the U.S. system makes dictatorship much harder than in Russia. \n✔ Unless he completely controls elections, the courts, and the military, he cannot rule like Putin.

Impeach and REMOVE Donald Trump for violating treaties under false pretexts, violating separation of powers and usurping the powers of Congress.

I believe that now the republicans in both houses of congress must join with democrats in both houses of congress and begin immediately the process of impeachment and conviction of Donald John Trump. Our democracy will not survive is he is allowed to stay in office for the full four years.

Being an American I am behind Canada and feel these Tariffs are uncalled for and will do nothing to help our ever growing Inflation! It is Trump, and the problem is the rest of our Government (Congress and Judiciary) are spineless and won't stand against him. Trump is not doing anything for us but HURT us. I call for Trump's IMPEACHMENT and taken out of Office!!

Can Congress now impeach Trump for harming the US?

Trump tried to bully and blackmail Zelenskyy before, withheld help the Congress approved to get dirt on Joe Biden. It didn’t work and America impeached him. That “show” in the Oval Office was to bully him again……..it didn’t work……Zelenskyy is a hero. Trump is a zero!

The sooner we Americans accept that Donald Trump is essentially batshit crazy and proceed to impeach the Orange Menace, the better off everyone in the world will be. Except of course, Russia. The more pressure great democracies as Canada exert upon Trump internationally, the more the U.S. economy (and Americans ourselves) will suffer. The more we Americans suffer, the more pressure will be exerted upon Trump domestically, and the more the U.S. Congress will bilaterally be pressured to impeach Trump. A lot of Canadians might not agree with me, but the Prime Minister is among the greatest democratic leaders of our time in contrast with the USA's new dictator-in-waiting. Trump has no idea of how to lead.\nHe has no economic plan put together by this adminstrstion on HOW to budget, devise C.R.s or negotiate with Congress regarding managing the economy of the US.\nTrump is a disgrace...not only for US, but all over the world, except to Russia.\nTrump needs to be impeached\nCongress needs to invoke the 25 amendment to save our nation from this tyranny he is imposing against our allies all over the world.
