Are Americans oblivious to the fact that Trump isn't the genius they think he is, how much damage is he going to do before they react. The man is certifiable.

I'm an 80 year old Navy veteran and I am ashamed to be an American. My wife and I walked out of a concert a week ago when the band started playing Proud to be an American. Americans are oblivious to the shit storm coming our way. They thought the economy was bad based on egg prices of $5 a dozen. You ain't seen nothing yet.

American here -- I feel powerless in moving the needle in regards to Palestine. Do you have any meaningful resources or suggestions on what someone like I could do to help? I've written and spoken to my representatives, and my church has been raising money for aid donations even though, with Israel's blockade, it's been really hard to know if the help is getting through. \n\nI am so sorry, please know the vast majority of Americans aware of the situation condemn the genocide in Gaza. The mainstream news likes to platform far right Zionists, but most Americans are either opposed to the siege or are oblivious to what's happening.

I recently travelled to Oregon & Washington state to see a Canadian friend who married an American. I found the price of food to be very expensive or on par with Canada, plus the exchange rate. The busy freeways traumatized me. I was stressed about avoiding medical care or any legal issues during my trip. While visiting a popular beach resort town, I was surprised to observe Americans talking loudly on their cell phones, oblivious to the beauty of the ocean & everyone around them. I noticed rich locals driving their rare convertibles. I was relieved to come back to my life in Canada. \nP.S. my friend recently got COVID, $3000 medical bill to pay, & spent most of the time recovering at home - almost died ?

Goddamn are Americans ever oblivious to their own shitty state.

Guns are the number 1 cause of death for American children. And most Americans are oblivious to this or simply say there’s nothing we can do about it. No way will they give up their guns.

Notice how these people's clothes look somewhat new and how they seem to be well fed and not malnourished. So why do they need to be coming here? If oblivious Americans can't figure it out, its because they are too distracted by crap like TikTok. They are going to replace you.\n\nThey aren't coming here to pick fruit and veggies or roof your house. They are coming to live off your tax dollars and further drive down your standard of living. The people that do those manual labor jobs are already here. Besides, the home building industry is on the decline along with the economy and US dollar. \n\nPeople like Alejandro✡️Mayorkas and his kind are just repeating what his ancestors did in B0lshev1k Russia and Weimar Era Germany. Americans need to wake the hell up and learn about REAL history. Most people in the US only known the homogenized watered down version of history AKA crap that they taught us in government funded schools.

This is WWIII. This is an invasion of many countries. If these countries were dropping bombs on American, I bet we'd do something then. Only this is the same thing. The reporter is completely stupid. How does she not understand the situation? Oblivious.

I've grown up in suburbs all my life, when I was a kid I would play outside with other children, but I do not see this happening now with the children of this day. I too now spend almost all of my time indoors, it has become increasingly easy to live like this. My neighbors are the same way, nobody knows each others names in the neighborhood. I am very grateful for the immense comfort and privilege that my background has provided for me, but you come to realize that American culture is gross and inhuman, materialistic and plastic, very lonely. I long to see the other ways of life on this planet when I have the means to travel\n\nIn the last 15 years especially, the westerners (at least in North America) have all retreated to their caves, their eyes fixated on the shadows on the walls of the cave. Reality passes them by and they waste their life, the most they can hope for to ease the loneliness is a friendship over Discord (but in the end this only contributes to them spending more time indoors). \n\nNorth Americans are moving towards a never ending stream of escapism through consumerism. First it was TV, then video games, next is virtual reality. They will be enveloped in a 24/7 stream of hyperreality, forever overstimulated and oblivious to the real world.
