Already know that our gov doesn’t care about the people

As a Canadian who lives in (largely French-speaking) Quebec, I don't know if our gov't even NEEDS to tariff American consumer goods, the people here are already boycotting US goods and companies en masse. EVERYBODY is doing it - and the pace isn't going to recede anytime soon. Even after the Orange Turd is long gone, trust me, Canadians will remember this! The American state has proven it cannot be trusted. They have unilaterally broken the trade agreement (negotiated by the previous Donald J Chump administration) on the flimsiest of reasons, the 00.2 % of fentanyl that flows over the border into the US from Canada. That deal now obviously not worth the paper it was signed on.

BEFORE COVID:\nConsumers: the food prices are to high.\n\nGov: these business should slow the rise of prices what do they need?\n\nBusiness: we need profit. Either subsidized food or we need to somehow lower our expenses. \n\nGov: we'll not subsized food but here some TFW\n\nConsumer are happy, business are happy, gov are happy! Everyone's happy.\n\nPOST COVID:\n\nDeaths rising!\nPeople:gov needs to act.\n\nGov: lets do lockdown, quarantine and vaccine.\n\nConsumers: no work? We need money.\n\nGov: we'll print these COVID money! Here's for 2k for you.\n\nConsumer: happy.\nBusiness: that's good atleast people have some money to spend on our businesses.\n\nEconomist: these money will cause inflation in the near future.\n\nINFLATION.\nBusiness: expenses are high.\nConsumers: prices are high, I need 2 jobs.\n\nGov: ok lets stop TFW. \n\nBusiness: you know this will cause our prices to go up. \n\nGov: it's okay consumers are already used to inflation anyway. What's important is that we could provide jobs to Canadian citizen.\n\nBusiness: fine okay.\n\nPrices are going up. After stopping TFW.\n\nConsumers: its the inflation again. Nothing new but we're still voting Trudeau out of office.

Erosion of National Identity\nBy 2036, immigrants are projected to make up about\n30% of the Canadian population. By 2050, roughly half\nthe country’s population will be non-white. In some\nareas, these projections have already been reached or\nsurpassed. In Brampton, Ontario, 65% of the population\nis South Asian. Richmond, British Columbia, became\nmajority Chinese in 2016. In Quebec, the French lan-\nguage is in serious decline because of large scale immi-\ngration.\nIf immigration targets remain unchanged, there will\nbe a dramatic change in the country’s ethnic, cultural,\nand linguistic composition. Many citizens, both native-\nborn and immigrants, will be uncomfortable with a\nchange at this rate and scale to the country they know and\nlove. To make matters worse, the successive federal gov-\nernments, which have overseen Canada’s policy of large-\nscale immigration, have never consulted Canadians on\nwhether they actually want this kind of change. -Druthers
