As an American I am ashamed and embarrassed of our corrupt government. I stand with our ally Canadians. It is sickening to realize something is going to explode in the U.S. we Americans are already suffering with inflation and homelessness. It is terrible how we are raising the tariffs to our friendly Canadians. We stand with the ppl of Canada today and always! ❤

I used to love to go to NYC for Christmas. However, the last time i went Manhattan was not like it used to be. There are loads of ppl smoking weed, the train, which i used to like to ride, has lots of homeless and drunk ppl and was dirty. This reminded me when i used to go to the city as a boy in the 80s and 90s but was changed due to Gulliani and others. Last Christmas I continued my tradition to go to NY but i stayed in Buffalo. It is actually nice there and i saw loads of snow.

Close the border we cant even take care of our own homeless and children. We dont owe these ppl anything.

In Pakistan there are 220 million ppl living and nobody is homeless everybody got roof over head but canada is so big and very small population but too many homeless this housing is a scam they keep you poor and you still don't own a house

Here is something else the people need to know. Any Canadian who needs help and goes to a service canada/service ont employment agency will be discrimminated against. HOW? I have a received there program viewer for training. All of them have elegibility where you have to be a newcomer to get into free training programs. There are acouple for strictly women and black youth. ZERO LGBTQ+. In 32 pages majority are for newcomers. Acouple open to all but they wont let you in bc behind closed doors there favoring in newcomers. Canadians who have paid into system can't get help bc all most programs and services are for newcomers ....and businesses are taken advantage of lower waged workers. Immigration is hurting the country too much because they did not plan and invest. Our healthcare is disgracefull. Canadians are being abused. We have a very bad government......More people are waking up and cant handle this anymore. Cost of living is very bad. More homeless ppl and more drugs on streets,,,,gun violence are just as bad as the US now. This is not healthy immigration for the country at all.

Like bro I work in downtown and literally as soon as night fall comes u see dozens and dozens of homeless ppl. Increased rents are mostly due to high interest rates, not $6/hr Uber drivers. They cant even afford to stay at $3000/mo apartment. High interest rates = less property sales = higher demand for rentals = increase cost of goods to make up higher rentals. They should thank the homeless ppl to drive down the property values near encampments

So they created a system that the ppl we ask for help are the same ppl who's targeting us therfore no stories getting out about how they have cleaned out the homeless people you seen here-are all in Vancouver or elsewhere bc they were forced out as they tried doing this with me and I on my 3rd illegal eviction..

White Brampton millennial resident who grew up in 99.9% white East Coast here- this video does not provide an accurate representation of the entire city. It shows a tiny sliver. Brampton’s crime levels are lower than most other GTA cities. I feel safer here as a single woman than any other city I’ve lived in. There are Indians calling back home to their families in India in the middle often the night and they often go outside so as to avoid disrupting the sleeping members of their household. This makes me feel very safe bc I know there are normal ppl out late at night and it dissuades criminals. For the population size of Brampton, the homeless population is very low. There are folks who do sit in front of that church - tho it’s not at all dangerous like you said. There is a homeless enclave hidden in the woods behind a shopping plaza too. I see almost no homeless ppl. The biggest problem about Brampton and other suburbs of the GTA is that there are many scammers. They scammed their way into buying homes with fake T4s. They scam the CRA by not claiming their rental income so they tax evade. They use all this extra money to buy more homes which they rent out and fraudulently put them under their family members names to avoid designating them as investment properties meaning they don’t have to pay capital gains tax when they sell. Like, if you went to high park, you will see a lot of brazilians and portuguese ppl. The houses in high park are at unaffordable rates. Yet, no one is pointing fingers - that's why this is racist. There are homeless there too

The homeless problem has become way worse over the years. Canada has become way too expensive to live with the outrageous prices in rent, heat, hydro, food, property taxes it’s bloody outrageous. Ppl loose their jobs and find they can’t afford to pay their rents and mortgages along with all the other bills if they can’t find another job right away. And companies are to hire minority over white ppl. A white male in Ontario, forget about it. White ppl have become minority now in the work force. Absolutely the cost of living has caused the homeless problem to sky rocket. As far as the system it’s true that the system takes care of foreigners first over Canadians. I remember many years ago I tried to get student assistance to take courses and I was rejected because I lived with a parent, the person on the other end of the phone told me strait out if I was a foreigner I’d of gotten the assistance, and this was way before Trudeau was in the picture!!!

Bring new immigrants in Canada for covering labor shortages. Ha! Look how many homeless and unemployed ppl are living on street. How many local professionals apply over a 1000 resumes to get a job and no responds.

I visited Quebec City and Montreal in 2009 for 2 weeks. It was absolutely lovely. I visited the same cities last September, my romantic notion dissipated. Especially Montreal, so many homeless looking young people on skateboards. I don’t think it’s trendy to wear baggy all black that reeked of BO. Price tag for everything is high, higher than my Los Angeles suburb to be honest. Most ppl are just making ok income, not high earning top tier professionals. How do ppl keep a roof and food on table? Plus transportation and insurance.

im one of those ppl with a fulltime job and im also homeless. I dont make minimum wage but i still cant justify spending that much on rent just to struggle to afford food after paying bills. Its sad to think but being homeless and couch hopping when available just seems more realistic then wasting so much money on rent. Atleast while im homeless I can still invest and set up the money i make to help me more in 10yrs instead of just watch it spill away in rent right now.

Until you experience the horrors they have gone through don’t throw stones in glass houses the immigration system has been broken for years if people waited until it’s their time no one would realistically get through since there is a 20 year backlog and children who were brought here 20 years ago have been thrown out because they themselves were still not approved a decade or more later. Part of the issue is red state lax gun laws allowing cartels easy access to heavy machinery that can be taken back across the border. Do you really think corruption isn’t running all the way to the top and that the American government has not helped worsen the issues when any of these countries want control of their own fossil fuel. Apartments are high in price bc there is not enough housing and people will just pay whatver a landlord is requiring bc they have no other choices. We also live in a capitalist dictatorship where everything is based off what ppl will pay for it. Ppl will pay for outrageous prices by getting roommates bc that's better than being homeless. So many ppl need housing that a lot of apts are on the wevsite for only 1 or 2 days before being rented. The real problem is actually wages. Housing has gone up with inflation. Property managers still have to pay for things when they are broken or even for cleaning an apt after someone moves out. All of those prices has gone up, so its not like Property managers are raising prices to screw over ppl. They do it bc the cost of everything is going up. The real problem is wages are not going up.

When will the U S Come to their senses... American Citizens & Veterans are homeless...how much more can ppl sit back & take ...these illegals come in & immediately they're found shelter n money & whatnot ... very biased & unfair...

I was born and raised here. I am one big bill away from being homeless.. This is not the Canada I know. We are punishing sick ppl for being sick. ...ppl on disability don't even get enough money to survive on let alone pay for all the extras and alot of ppl on disability didn't get the grocery rebate. So tell me how that is fair... families are homeless more and more added every month due to insane rent costs and shady landlord doing eviction to raise rents. The whole country is a hot mess.

People in the US should be taken care of first. I can understand both sides here as my SO came here as an immigrant in 89 and had that not happened I wouldnt have had 2 of my kids. It's just sad our country seems to bend over backwards for ppl who arent americans while americans are suffering, like homeless veterans for example. A veteran should never be homeless, hungry or without medical aid in this country.

Lol I lived in the US for 1 year but in the short period of time I lived there (California) I became paranoid. There are so many local crimes that I never feel safe alone. No gun control, health care sucks, crime rate is high, a lot of homeless ppl and no unemployment benefits. Also, streets are dirty. Our taxes might be higher but it really goes to good use obviously.

I guess they didnt see the reports about how expensive housing is. I guess they didnt see you now need a college degree for some jobs that only pay minimum wage. I guess they didnt see we have 10's of thousands homeless ppl already living on n the streets. I guess they dont know our economy is about to collapse. I guess they are too weak to fight for their own country but they could walk thousands of miles and fight off our border patrol. \nBus them to other states that arnt as overwhelmed with migrants that are crossing the border illegally. Tx is already overwhelmed with ppl who crossed into the US illegally who cant get jobs bc they have no legal right to work here. These ppl will be left on the street or taken advantage of by ppl who will use them for cheap labor. This is just horrible and sad.

The sad thing about ppl talking about how many homeless we have as being a reason why we can’t allow legal immigration is that we have more than enough vacant housing for the entire homeless population.
