Canada has reduced the number of student visas and temporary foreign worker permits because even people who are pro immigration and not racist recognize that it has gotten out of hand. I'm all for referenda, the trouble is when government picks the issue, they are usually doing so for political reasons, not legislative ones. Harper pulled the same thing when he took a first nations treaty agreement that had been twenty years in the making between THREE levels of government and threw it to a referendum of a population that had NO idea what it was about, so they just reacted along racist lines thinking 'first nations are taking over'. The larger issue you don’t seem to understand or convey in your video is the fact that this racist and ignorance-fuelled behaviour becoming so normalized without thinking about the deeper issues at hand trickles into society at large is it eventually seeps into racism in general towards other cultures (although it’s not right towards any culture or ethnicity). I'm in the US, in a very affluent area of New Jersey, and we've had to move 3 times because Indians find the beautiful communities, overwhelm them - with too many people in one house, too many loud/unruly children, leaving piles of shoes on doorsteps, using beautiful yards and terraces as junk storage/laundry drying areas, making everything smell and look terrible because they have no class and their food smells permeate other people's homes as well at the outdoor air... They turn luxury developments into Indian slums and nobody's talking about it because they're afraid to sound racist. I have almost every race in my own family. So I KNOW I'm not racist. I just find it intolerable that there aren't more laws in place to protect lovely American communities from being overrun by non-assimilating Indians or any other immigrant population.

I feel like a foreigner in Toronto for sure, especially my area. The Indian population skyrocketed when Trudeau decided to solve one problem by creating another (I'm being polite here). I have yet to hear from the Western media any concern for the human rights abuses of the Tibetans in occupied South Tibet by India. P.S. I am using the word Tibetan as an umbrella term to include the various Sino-Tibetan Burmese people (Monpa, Abotani (called Lhotba on the Chinese side),..etc. The Sixth Dalai Lama was a Monpa) in South Tibet. The Sixth Dalai Lama is known for his many love poems and romantic escapades outside the Potola Palace. Sadly, his hometown, Tawang, is now under India's occupation since 1951. The Tawang Monastery is the last major frontier monastery before the area merged into the tribal region. It historically enjoyed a close relation with the Beijing central government. The thing that never seems to be brought up is East Indians 80% own houses.
