Im not Canadian but I visited Canada twice specifically Montreal I saw how ugly and dirty indian neighborhoods are …the apartment I was staying at in 2019 there was only one Indian couple neighbors who both were very dirty but overall it was a decent place but past forward to 2025 the building got a lot more dirty because of other new Indian Neighbors u can’t even use the lifter because of the smell one of them brought his family from India and I think the dad peeid in the lifter and they brought bugs with them imagine how bad the situation was 🤮… also one them was literally walking barefoot with a weird disgusting towel he scared the shit out of me for a moment I felt so unsafe as a girl thank god I wasn’t alone otherwise I know he would’ve done something bad to me … I would never go back to that place ever again.. I spoke to Canadians who lived there they all had plans to move out to other areas they couldn’t stand them anymore like I went to asian and arabs / North Africans and sub Saharan Africans Jewish Mexican neighborhoods yeah they weren’t 100% clean but it’s clean nice smell and people aren’t loud like u see decent looking civilized people even tho some are very poor so it’s not about poverty

There have always been a few questionable people that are immigrants and refugees but it was in the early 2000s when you first started to see the foreign students and immigrants/refugees start to me more the "gimmegrant" type. They wanted sponsorship, benefits, housing, etc but didn't want to put in the work or participate and some were very dim also. It's not race that makes countries great or bad. Since there is just one human race. Its the culture that makes places great. Culture or shared ideas among the populace. Specially ideas of being open minded, living and letting live, freedom, being tolerant etc. These are the best ideas or culture that if held long enough by the majority of the people will turn that place into a great civilization indeed. Every great civilization of history was built through this culture in history. persian empire, macedonian empire, roman empire, british empire and now the united states etc... were/are all very diverse and very tolerant of indians and their ideas... cultural exchange of ideas through indians and receiving diverse viewpoints which helped them become great. However great empires, great places and civilizations never last. They fall down. They fall down once the culture changes. which is natural since culture is not static but dynamic, since it exists only in the minds of people, it can change in the same generation, or in the next - all it takes is replacing existing ideas with other ideas in the minds of people large enough. This is what we are seeing happening in canada and India... a shift of culture. The same culture of responsible for turning India into a terrible country is being adopted by canadians. Meanwhile for the past few decades.. india on the other hand has been adopting the better culture and growing slowly and steadily with many mistakes and hurdles along the way towards a brighter future... slowly because its huge... steadily because it knows where to go.... mistakes and hurdles because its an open democracy... If this cultural shift keeps continuing this way... There will come a time where canada would look more like afghanistan and India will look like the us or scandinavia... However i hope thats not the case. and its just a phase that does not lead to some significant revolution in terms of peoples thinking.

With the price of homes it was expected a long time ago that crime would explode. Even people with jobs are having a hard time to get a home. I feel this video does cover what's happening but don't answer the question why its happening. Here's what i think- To start with - A major population of indian immigrants in Canada come from two provinces/states - Punjab and Gujarat. From Punjab - Most of the population who migrates to Canada are villagers. They are notoriously famous in Punjab cities as well for creating trouble. They have no civic sense, always getting involved in illegal stuff, some use drugs, no etiquettes, poor hygiene and very arrogant sometimes. Another thing, Canadian government over the years stopped taking in-person interviews and got lenient with rules for gaining a visa especially for students which doesn't make sense and one should be catious so of what kind of people they are letting in their country. This leads to letting in a bunch of wrong people who are already a troublemaker in Punjab and then represents a bad of side of Indians. A side note - Every Indian province is very very different and not all people are same in India. It's definitely a shit situation which shows Canadian government definitely needed a better way to handle immigration. A lot of international students has been exploited by the system as well if you get to know from there point of view as well. I grew up in Brampton from 1985 to 2010. I watched it change. Not for the better. I got the hell out there and every time I go back to visit my fam, it's even worse. The birth rate is low b/c the rich have too much money and the workers have too little. When I was a small child, I had planned to go to European and American countries based on my knowledge and good values and not for money because I thought that people with good education and rules followed lived there. Now I am 18 and it is very sad to see that people who lack basic manners are going there in exchange of money, yes it is true that you cannot bring knowledge and good values in yourself with money, European people and American people should also think about this and should ask questions to their government that why are they bringing these people to get profit in the vote bank or are they very educated people, but looking at the condition it is not true that Their parents may have also taught them basic manners, many Indians do not have the flexibility to change their habits after seeing the country, but they would have had problems with people coming to their country from outside who did not live in the Indian culture, but if they did not live with outsiders and were forbidden to do that, then that would be racism! One should follow whatever religion one wants but see again it should change with the new environment, even in nature when a species migrates to a new place it follows the rules and practices it uses, it does not mean that its genetics change completely.

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

If you go to Canada, you will mostly see Punjabi people there. I don’t know why Punjabi people have become so obsessed with Canada. They mostly refer to going to Canada. They don’t even work properly or look for jobs in India; they just prefer going to Canada. I don’t know what kind of jobs they get there. Some of them go there depending on relatives, and some go illegally, which is completely wrong. Because I want to say one true thing about Indian people: there is very little civic sense in India. Yes, if they belong to the upper class, then they may have some civic sense, but in the lower and middle class, civic sense is very low. That’s why wherever they go, they behave the same way they think, without caring that they are in another country. They don’t care about respecting that country or adjusting to its culture. Instead, they try to impose their own culture everywhere. They want to create their own space everywhere and put their own things everywhere. But if foreigners come to India and live here permanently, they just do their work and live normally. Even if they do something publicly to promote their own culture, Indians will immediately go against them. But I haven’t seen the same reaction outside. People there should also oppose this; otherwise, Indians will really spread everywhere in the same way.

Im seeing the same thing here in California, as time went on I noticed more and more Indians everywhere, I’ve started telling people they’re taking over 😭

I was going through college in southern Ontario about half a decade ago. The faculty was alright but the one that always stuck with me was an elderly Indian man who had a PHd (what he was doing teaching at a community college, I'm not sure). He immigrated from India sometime in the 70's, I think, and sometimes told us stories about how he'd never seen electricity until he was well into adulthood. This was at the early stages of Indian mass immigration to the province, but the international students were already becoming a known problem in the school. They never spoke to anyone else, hung out in big groups together on campus, I swear most of them couldn't even speak English. They constantly cheated on everything and shared answers, I heard like 7 of them got failed for submitting identical lab reports one time. Most people knew they were a problem, but no one was comfortable saying anything. Except the Indian professor. He would publicly call them out for shit in class, berate them, shit talk them openly to other students. I've literally never seen anyone more angry about those Indian students than that Indian professor. It's not hard to see why, he busted his ass to immigrate to Canada, get work and get into a good university. He completed a doctorate, for Christ's sake. He didn't see a street light until he was 25, and worked his way to the bleeding edge of digital science. Now there's a bunch of lazy assholes invited in by the government brazenly trying to cheat their way to a degree in his goddamn class. I'd crash out too.

Bruh the comment section is filled with racist people not minding india's population and seeing the not so big size of the country and still criticizing it for its poor infrastructure or people. The people also forgot how rich India was before united kingdoms invasion and how the British empire stole all the valuable resources from India like gold and used it for the development of London. So pls I am respectful don't be racist towards other countries. All are equal made by god just separated by borders of countries but live in the same soil which is our earth. It's also a fact that the people who have enough money or are rich in India live a good life where the infrastructure is good the people are good like the system in upper castes. Whereas the poor people are the ones which have to suffer as generally they are low castes and don't get jobs offered in India as they face caste discrimination and so they get involved in illegal activities like scam call centres and robbery to get some money. The foreigners only see the bad side of India and the bad people who are poor and have to earn something for their family to survive. So pls I know that the things these are doing are illegal or bad but still don't blame whole India for it as those people are very poor have nothing to eat and so they get lured by strangers into doing these things. I can easily say tyler is racist because it's just bad things about India that he shows like the photo of punjab he shows like a random street in punjab a person is driving in motorcycle and there is garbage all around and not showing the golden temple or beautiful places there. I know the people should point out the mistakes of a country like dirty places there but like all the images shown of the country are dirty and not a single picture is good about it even though there are many. That clearly racist and the motive is clearly here to disrespect the countrys image

I went to college with a roommate from Delhi. I visited in his home country and family and actually really enjoyed it. Yes, there is less cleanliness culture. Yes, there is less personal space. He actually ended up moving to Toronto last year. However with all the negatives you see on YouTube, it's always good to note that Indians are always friendly and helpful people. I'd rather have them than most other immigrant cultures

Honestly, they are great people and I think they bring a lot of culture and family orientation back to Canada I feel like it’s roots. I mean, we are the first generation with cell phones so things aren’t gonna go well for the first generation so I hope to see change in the next, but I really hate the racism. Because at the end of the day, this world belongs to all of us. I’m married to a Punjab. And I’m very thankful I met him feel like a lot of Canadian men. Have become victims to the red pill ideology or cell phones are really just becoming a part of their ideologies. Indian families bring back real love and authenticity. My only problem is the criminals that are coming into the country that are hurting people when we already have enough problems in our own country.
