If the plan was to unite all these countries together as one ! Why not ? Why are we fighting anyways, again ? Why don't we all get along !? I'm just thinking out loud here, if Putin, Trump, Trudeau, freekin Kim and the reste juste once and for all say you know what the earth doesn't belong to any of us, no more spreading religious thoughts and no more I'm right you are not ! Just live and let live ! The idea is to live the moment and stop thinking of the past ! This instant, right now is what is important. Stop acting like babys, kids that bully other kids ! I just can't beleive we are still fighting !

I wonder if we might make a shortcut in policy + create a border wall between New York City and the rest of the country. We could bus all the illegal aliens in the Northeast to New York City and let them have sanctuary there. Then just keep the whole glorious mess in the buroughs. I live in this godforsaken joke of a country and I've been unemployed for OVER TWO YEARS despite having a degree, 5y experience, and a willingness to move literally anywhere for work. The economy is DEAD. We are SCREWED. Annexation is unironically the only way I see that we can get out of this unless we want to turn into a failed state.

I think we need to give it time. In a year or two picture should be clear. I don't think tariffs are necessary a bad thing long term if they spike more production of everything or at list anything in US. Short term it would be painful for everybody tho. We become a country of no production. Only consumption is not healthy. It is how every empire behaves on a last breath. Look back in history. Rom, Spain etc.Sooner or later we wouldn't be able to exchange worthless green paper to goods anymore outside of the country unable to produce anything inside the country and we die. Some persons were just talking about their sentiments on their personal point of view but looking at US point of view, know that the US trade deficit (Deficit exists where US import from another nation to US exceeds US export to that nation from US) with Canada exceeded 58 billion dollars in 2024; with Mexico is more than 170 billion dollars in 2024; and with China is more than 295 billions dollars in 2024. In the Philippines, Philippine entrepreneurs and the like who are exporting their products had been enjoying tax incentives (It does mean when exports live the country versus imports being received by the country then) as Philippine export earning is the one making the Philippine economy richer with money gained while import is making the money to go out of the country (going out as cost or expense) then while being revenue of another country (so that the profit of a country which is revenue less the expense is obviously what is the truth about any argument about tariff (which in a way is discriminating the deficit in becoming wider and wider to the pleasure of those who loved imported goods then).

The US is isolating itself from the world. It is indeed the strongest and the richest country. But the decisions, the current admin has made will damage the United States. Specifically the people of the estates with or without knowing, they will pay for the cost caused by the wrong decision made by MAGA. This is really sad to see how they divide themselves and the world. I am a 72 years of female who lives in Canada with very strong American roots as I came here when I was 46 years of age. I have to say that what is happening between the United States of America and Canada breaks my heart. I have always known that Canada and United States of America worked and got along with each other all my life. Yes, my heart is broken for the Americans and the Canadiens who will suffer because of this trade war that President Trump started. Prayers for both countries.

I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. I think the US president is making the US economy worse, taxes and prices in the country will increase, and relations with other countries will not be good. Since taking office, he has only focused on the small number of rich people with a lot of money, while 90% of the population is struggling with prices and taxes, so he has nothing to care about. What did the American people vote for him to do? To make people's lives better, to have more jobs, to make taxes better...etc. He only talks but has not done anything. The words of a rich person like him are not trustworthy.

Canada is in trouble. Joining with the US would help both countries. Detroit would benefit from Canadians moving there, as would other US cities along the border. Canadians would get a place to live, and the US cities would be cleaned up and made livable again. Canada is suffering from too many people with few skills. The US foundry area hasn't recovered. If Trudea and Canada could see it, joining with the US would benefit them, and the US.

Well said. I will never understand how Trump and the entire Republican Party turned against our country and our allies, and aligned themselves with a murderous Russian dictator. I don’t know how anyone could grow up in the United States of America and so completely turn their backs on the Constitution, and the laws and values we stand for. I am confused. I am scared. I am angry. But mostly, I am ashamed to be living in Trump’s America.

As a Canadian living in the U.S, I felt so sad to see the two countries I loved fighting against each other ?

Trudeau, my brother, My words cannot begin to express to you or your people just how genuinely sorry I am for my country's utterly repulsive and inexcusable behavior throughout the last month and a half and for the downright cruel, hostile treatment you've suffered at the hands of the most incompetent, greedy, poorly educated, narcissistic, racist, sexist, xenophobic buffoon to ever preside over the United States. Not only is Donald Trump an overly privileged, pathetic, whiney crybaby who literally folds his arms, stomps his feet, and launches an all out temper tantrum whenever he doesn't get his way or when someone else has the TV remote, he is a dangerously delusional, high stakes risk taker who wouldn't think twice about using his own mother or child as a human body shield if he thought his life were in danger. There is absolutely no value, principle, moral or ethic he wouldn't betray without hesitation if he suspects there is anything at all to be gained - you know, the type of guy who would poison the entire neighborhood in order to hoard all the complimentary tampons and lip gloss samples from his neighbors' mail boxes just to ensure that he got first dibs on everything before anyone else. Incidentally, he is also the same type of guy who pockets all the flavored mini coffee creamers from the gas station and all the paper bed sheets and Qtips from the doctor's office. I wouldn't put it past him to steal the waitresses' tips off tabletops on his way out the door upon leaving McDonald's. In fact, I would bet everything that he steals the donation jars for Jerry's Kids at the local supermarket. I mean, its already a given that he is likely the guy who filed a lawsuit a few summers back against a sweet, innocent littls FOUR year old boy for having a lemonade stand on property not zoned for commercial use. If it wasn't Trump then I'm sure it's only because he was too busy ordering the National Guard to power hose and pepper spray the 30 or so elderly nuns who had been distributing bottled water to folks demonstrating in support of Black Lives Matter on the hottest day of the year. Satisfied in his victorious battle against the nuns - 9 of whom had been hospitalized for critical injuries including the 92 year old Mother Superior who suffered massive brain bleed, swelling and concussion due to the excessive force of the power hose and an 87 year old nun who lost permanent sight in one eye due to the pepper spray - Trump had the nerve to pose for a publicity shot in front of the church while holding a Bible - UPSIDE DOWN - and scrunching and contorting his face into that hideous trademark scowl he does ever so naturally. Yep. This is the man my fellow Americans chose to represent our nation as President - a man who beats up 90 year old nuns and imposes 25% tax hikes to our ONLY FRIEND in the entire world simply for refusing to accept his invitation for statehood. I mean, come on, Trudeau, is that really asking too much of you? Was it really worth bruising Donny's fragile little ego and sending him into a fit of rage?
