Welp, about a half an hour ago when I got home, I realized that someone broke into my apartment building and stole my shoes that were infront of my door. SHOES. last year someone broke in and stole my bike. The thing is, this area was NEVER like this. It was safe and people trusted each other. Guess what has changed? The amount of immigration in my city and in this area. I am terrified during the night that someone will break into my apartment since theyve been able to get into the building. My entire life I have always stuck up for minorities and all different groups that have been apparently marginalized. We have been building more houses right arcoss Canada. Canada is a dump now after 8 years of the liberal government. I moved here in 2017 and surprised to see how fast a country can deteriorate. Now unless you are rich and enjoy the boring culture and cold weather, simply don’t come to Canada. Everything is unaffordable and the government purposely let in so many immigrants to compete for necessities like housing. I made 130k last year but still far from owning a place. Although I get raises every year, my paycheck remains similar if not less because of increasing taxes and living cost let alone weaker purchasing power due to inflation. Canada becomes a playground for the wealthy who can speculate in the housing markets and some socialists who enjoy being broke and woke.

I am Canadian, born and raised in Canada. I strongly feel the problem with this country is woke liberal policies. Which don't work and has eroded the quality of life in Canada. Canada is a super expensive country, I've been here for 30 years and still renting houses, unable to save for a downpayment to buy my own house, paying rent forever with my husband and not being able to afford to have kids either. This country is depressing, you go to college and then work and have nothing. Canada is not a happy country, people are broke, paying too many taxes and not getting the proper services, there is a shortage of family doctors in Canada. Also paying too much for rent and gas. The socialist government makes things harder year by year, they don't develop the economy to keep up with the times, the liberal government has a lot to do with the crappy economy here. They create policies to make everything extremely hard for Canadians to succeed. If you are thinking of coming to Canada, think twice, it's a trap, it will take you years to be able to afford anything, you will struggle most of your life.

I moved to Canada in 2012. I used to love Canada as even with $11 per hour job was more than enough to survive (during studies, part time job). I used to live happy life. But, since Liberal government was elected in 2015, things are going crap. Just between 2016 when I signed lease of 1+1 apartment for 1140$, in 2019 it was getting rented for $2400. Prices went up for house and lots of things. Liberals had messed up affordability that most people in Toronto region are living paycheque to paycheque. On top of it Carbon tax in hide of saving environment which literally not working out, is killing Canadians. \n\nAfter living in Canada for 11 years, I don’t see this country has any good future overall. Our banking to technology sector everything is outdated. World is moving so fast, Canada is not able to catch up. I am looking for easy was to get green card of USA, the country which I hated, it seems USA is far better. I have many relatives in USA, I asked around and it broke lots of my stereotypes about USA which I had developed living in Canada and from Canadians. Even met few people who lived in Canada for 10-15 years and moved to USA and living there for last 5-10 years. Worst decision of my life was choosing Canada in 2012 for easy immigration. My classmates who chose USA and moved there in 2012 are in much better position career wise as well salary wise and they files are also in progress. Living lavish life with great weather, while Canada is depressive as hell.

If someone is considering coming to Canada, especially recently, consider this..... The cost of living is high, the cost to buy a house is out of reach for many Canadians, taxes are many and high, government regulations are many, the present Liberal Trudeau government is not Liberal but it is a fascist/authoritarian government, many police are brutal and arrest and imprison people for protesting peacefully, they have fined, arrested and imprisoned Pastors for conducting church service and feeding the homeless, the Canadian dollar is low with less buying power, inflation is high, there has never been such high government debt, the government can order the banks to freeze your money, it is cold, opportunity is not that available, racial discrimination is here and by the government (i am Caucasian), the country is in such debt that we can go broke and the dollar further devalued. Corrupt money laundering is almost accepted by officials. There are better countries to immigrate than to Canada.
