While watching this- I see a guy who cares. I see a guy who wants to start his life. It just looks a lot to me like somebody who instead of working for 50 years and retiring- wants retirement and money- NOW. I was born in Seattle and left to Canada (married) when I was in early 20's!  This then was a good change for me as Vancouver was a great city compared to Seattle, moved right downtown and had a blast so for a young person (then) was great.  Met some great people from all over the world and had health care, medical/Dental etc.... I worked in the greater Vancouver area for 8 years and it was tough, very strict, and did not help that I was from the states, white bread Canadian seemed a bit jealous that I was there, sometimes not very friendly.  The Europeans I met were actually better to deal with and I got along quite well with them.  The cost of living was about the same as in Seattle.  After about 8 years being in Canada and working hard I saw America booming and the Canadian dollar was as low as $.62 cents (in late 90's) so I took my craft from Vancouver and brought it to the US just across the border, I became much happier working in the States, I took a little bit of bs but not bad from some that I had a Canadian accent (go figure when I moved up there I had a twang) I really never left the united states I will always be American and I have been still working in the US for over 20 years and deal with mainly Americans on a daily basis from all over the State of Washington.  Depending on where you grow up or end up you should never see a border Seattle and Vancouver have more in common than Vancouver / Calgary in fact most Canadians don't care much for the other provinces.  After 30 years of being part of both countries, I can say that people are people both have great offerings and if you took the best of Canada and America to combine then we would all prosper, there is so much both can learn from each other.  Bottom line:I take the best of both worlds and what they have to offer, yes, I have found less expensive goods in Canada than what they cost in the states.  I have seen it from both eyes, and if you cant be open culturally then stay away.

Lol, the funniest part about most shoplifters is that they are usually white and the only reason they don't get caught is because no one is watching them or cares if they steal. Even when a worker sees them stealing, they let them get away with it. Smdh. I've seen it many times. One specific time some white guy walked so casually into the beverage aisle at Walmart, put 4 packages of 4 pk Redbull in his backpack, and walked away like nothing happened. growing up in canada, i felt left out in the blk community b/c i am a 5th generation blk cdn on mom's side and 3rd on my dad's - when other black ppl not canadian born met me - i tell them i'm cdn, but i always used to get the question - where are you really from - they were looking for me to say the islands - when i told them my paternal grandma was born in 1901 in canada - that's when the questions stopped. i've been told that b/c i wasn't from the islands, i had no culture in college, but a mbr of the black student society put him in his place i heard he got into a lot of trouble. i was asked what do we eat as in food as canadians what kind of music do we listen to - at our blk canadian weddings, the only carribean song played was hot hot hot by arrow - we played straight up r and b and motown. i hv been rejected by other blk men b/c i'm not west indian enough...it was hurtful. even with 'friends' they made of my cdn heritage but i used to think, why are you making fun of me knowing that my family and ancestors were in canada first - they were 1st generation - i live in the usa now and i'm with an african american man - he has never treated me as if i were different and he loves going w/me to canada. my parents told me it was jealousy on those ppl's parts - one guy i used to be friends with in college, when i went to his house, his mom was from the islands, when she met me - she said, 'you cdn ppl are loud' and that did it for me - i didn't date her son but when he met my parents, they never said any of that crap to him. in the usa, the african americans don't treat differently at all - my ex mom in law thought we were american but decided to live in canada - b/c she was surprised that blacks do live in canada. her other daughter in law's family were from the islands - but she gravitated more to my family and felt comfortable around them more than her family and this ex sis in law would brag about the islands this and that and she would make comments about my looks being skinny and such but it was jealousy - i didn't care much for her b/c she was very insecure. i felt once again, i was a young girl in college again - being around island ppl....i would love to meet drake and ask him did he feel left out and isolated because he wasn't from the islands - he makes me very proud being a blk canadian - his dad is african american and his mom is jewish. i still hv dealt w/racism not much with wht ppl, but with my own ppl - which is quite sad and on top of it-colorism, that also played a part from my family - being called pygmy, chocolate dip, nappy hair - it hurt but these so called relatives, they aren't all that anymore, they had hard lives as children...when ppl see something in you that is special and they don't have, that's when their ugliness shows -

As a Canadian Salvadoran I’m grateful to be in this great country. However, I implore all immigrants/refugees to wake up and smell the roses, it is not paradise here....it’s great but not that great. There are things here that oppress Canadians, and the government is one of them. Racism exists here, better believe that, Sadly, In this world there is no more empathy, kindness. It’s a Dog eat dog world. No matter where you go.....ok maybe Switzerland or Iceland is alright ? but no where else. So I'm in a dilemma of whether I should move down to Florida and live with my American girlfriend, or stay up here and support her moving up here in Canada. My main issue is health care. I just hear many people have bad service and poor treatment with insurance down there, but it all depends what insurance your applying with. People are fairly nice, but there are also some douche bags as well so I'm not surprised. With my overall budget, I could likely stay down there for about a few months or so. Here in Canada, taxes are a little higher, but it's worth it (Some idiot said our taxes are lower), health care is paid for, winters are cold but anyone can survive through it. Some say Canada is a socialist (which is Not -_-). Liberal party is ruining Canada as it is in a way. But again, it's better Justin than Trump. (Betting for Scheer). Idk, politics is bad in both countries I say. Idk, I'm likely missing some things here. Should I move down with my girlfriend, or stay up and support her moving up here?

The most racism I experienced in school was from teachers. Its the most profound kind of racism, because they are authority figures. The thing is when your fellow students display racism it doesn't have the same gravity as it does when your teacher does it because you know your teacher does know better but they truly believe it.In University, I actually had a teacher give a lesson that was so tinged with racism that it really broke me down, because what I've come to realize is that so many people think that being racist is saying actual racist words and don't understand that perpetuating stereotypes are the most prevalent forms of racism.  It is demoralizing because it feels like a losing battle when your teacher is perpetuating racially disparaging ideas to an entire class, and you think about how many people are going to be influenced by that idea and in turn perpetuate it. I realized that this teacher really insidiously believed what she was saying was true, but that it just wasn't politically correct to say it. The main principle of white privilege is that white people get to be individuals but people of colour get grouped together by the most base stereotype of their race.  I don't think Black-focused schools are the solution. I think more integrated schools with diverse populations of students and teachers are the solution.\n Then there are concrete issues of race, space and the law. For example when you come to realize that carding continues in Toronto, and that most residents do not care that young Black men are being harassed and treated like criminals by the police because it does not affect their community, it makes you wonder if people are only inclined to feel empathy for those who look like them.

it doesn't matter where he is from what matters is that he put his family through all of this because he dodnt want to do the legal process. i come from immigrants and they did the process (not cutting corners) and they were welcomed citizens and still are. some illegal immigrants dont care for their families or they would have started the process a long time ago.

Such generalizations. After listening for just one minute I conclude that you found out that lumping everybody into the same basket was stupid but it took you 25 years to find that out. Wow! More people are killed or injured traveling in car than in a mountain bike. There are 50 states in the USA so most statements you make may refer to just one or two states. Canada has 10 provinces and the health care is slightly different in each province. Wait until you have lived in any country for a few years before you can talk authoritatively about it. Canada is a good country to live in so is Australia but even better are some or the northern or western countries in Europe where health care is affordable and good and food is affordable and good. The USA has more millionaires and billionaires and a lot of them are in government. Think about that. Lots of guns and judging by the news quite a few racist cops who never get punished. Think about that too. Bad water in many places; also worth thinking about. There are more lobbyists than there are legislators and they all make money; think about that and ask yourself why.
