you need a certain amount of money to live on for 2 years plus job prospect plus no criminal record a good edjucation to come here legally so Canadians that pay super high taxes do not need to worry about taking care of people that think they can just come here and exspect its people.to support them and there families .You cant get welfare for 2 years either.We need to keep Canada a.smart and wealthy country .Yes we can help some in very bad situations but we are.only as strong as our weakest people . As someone who is more liberal minded, I don't agree with illegal immigration (I'm also pretty fiscally conservative). I'm open to the idea of healthcare for all, I'm open to legalized pot (even though I hate pot), I don't agree with most wars, and I don't give a rats ass who someone marries or who makes your cake. But all those things are for CITIZENS. That CITIZENS should have. Not someone who comes here just because they think everything is free, don't need to learn English and probably not pay taxes. What a great show. I wish there was a black celebration centre in every big city in Canada. It's wonderful to share this information with my children although it is not enough. Also, Jamaican restaurants are always empty in BC. I always wonder why the food is so good and the restaurants are empty. The chairs need to be comfortable and I like it when there is already a table or two of people (it's like a testimonial without words...) You could perhaps let a table of people eat for free if they stay there all day - it would help.

I had a recent experience traveling with friends to Friday Harbor in Washington State near Victoria Island. It was a touristy spot in the PNW. There are 4 of us that day - 3 asians and 1 white . My white friend needed to use the restroom so the three of us went to a tourist information center. When we walked in the two white ladies just ignored us didn’t say hi or anything and we were not paying attention at first until my white friend walked in . one lady immediately got up and greeted him. And when she found out that the white guy is friend with the other 3 asians She started to talk to all of us but the entire time she only had eye contact with my white friend. It was kinda weird for me. It was not a bad experience but you noticed the skin color do make a difference in how people treated you in the US.

My daughter in law came to America, got her visa, green card and international drivers license. She did all that under a year. She does everything expected of her and has not had any problems. She got a real job and has never asked the US Govt to support her in any way. People that do what is expected of them have no issues. I don't understand what's the point you're trying to make with this video. It seems like you're trying to blame Canada and Trudeau for the situation that he is in; You (VICE) place emphasis on his situation and his family, trying to drum up sympathy for him, but the way I see it is, he's to blame for it. He came here of his own volition and with a family by trying to get around the system. That's doesn't make him sympathetic, it makes him stupid and naive and impulsive. Can't speak a word of English or French then wonder why he is getting rejected everywhere he goes. Perhaps what's needed is for these illegals to return home to make there own country great again. I hate that at my work that we have a 5 foot rule; if a customer is within sight in 5 feet of you, you are to ask them if they need help with anything. Whether or not we suspect them of stealing. We don't discriminate racially, we do this with every person who walks into the store. Which is ridiculous because our store is very small and we have anywhere between 3 and 6 employees on the floor at any given time. So, inevitably, every customer is offered help many many times in their visit. I am always worried that a person of colour will think I'm profiling them, when I'm really not. I genuinely just want to know if they're finding everything they need or have any questions. If we were to racially profile based on the people who have stolen from us in the past, we'd be going after every white person who walks in the store. In my 3 years working there we have had only white people steal from us. So sick of the race issue, we're all humans. The amount of melanin in our skin should not matter.

Do I feel sorry for them? Yes. I absolutely have compassion for them. I have compassion for all humans. I feel sorry for them and the homeless people standing on the corner everyday when I leave work. That being said we (America) cannot save the billions of poor people in the world.
