As a Canadian I detest seeing my hard earned tax dollars going to this BS. If it were up to me I would have this traitorous pig hung like the sack of crap he is. He brought a bunch of Syrian Refugees to the my home Province (a.k.a State) of New Brunswick which is the most economically depressed area of Canada and the most taxed. Most of the people here struggle to find work. These so called refugees are being treated better with handouts than our own populace who needs this money and paid into it all their lives.\nCalling for a rebellion!

This is another example of the arrogant and deceptive Justin Trudeau. Trying to buy immigrant votes, he actually ruins the lives of people, suggesting they can easily get into Canada. Trudeau isn't all that bright.

We hear you but simply don't listen to you. Here's a simple fact you may be able to wrap your minds around. The world has changed. BUT if one of those people makes a dramatic difference to your country then think how far ahead you will be. \nThe alternative is to send back the refugees or illegals and wish them well. That would be a catastrophic waste of potential life. So are you really worried about hotel costs in the grand scheme of things. Are your really? Pitiful.

Those are the languages which will have real commercial use. But if you must learn Spanish, please go to Spain. That's the only place I've heard Spanish being spoken.

I feel sorry for the guy, but the way it seems for many people who want to come to Canada or America is that they think we are going to let them in no questions asked and we have unlimited resources to help them. Yes we are fortunate enough to be wealthier than most other countries, but that does not mean we are able to accommodate every single person who wants to live in our country

The most foolish thing people do is to compare INR to Canadian Dollar when they talk about their wages and expenses. People who live in India are not earning in dollars so it makes no sense to talk about how the min wage for a week here is equivalent to a person's monthly income in India. The cost of living is very proportional. At minimum wage here you can only access necessities and not luxuries or your wants, just like any other nation. The perks of being here are not economical but rather the law and order, safety, quality of education and health care.

We all are the same and experience the same thing that doesn't make people that lives in the United States and from other countries are bad. For me I like meeting new people from different places.

Why can't more of these people follow suit and head to North to Canada? Even if they do try to do it the legal way sometimes they are not granted with any type of visa or green card. The government can deny their application for many reasons. So they end up crossing the border illegally. As well it is cheaper to cross the border than to apply for a visa or some sort of legal document. Many of these “lawbreakers” you suggest to be in jail have tired to do everything the legal way but it didn’t work out. Immigrants risk their lives and their love ones to have a better life, to be able to work to be able to have things that it’s impossible to have in their country. They are innocent people with dreams and hopes I don’t know why ya are so quick to judge. Try to put yourself in their place, and try to be open minded and listen.

It's not enough to live in a shit-hole country with violence. To be considered a refugee, that violence must be targeting YOU and your family SPECIFICALLY. It's not enough to just live among it. This is really simple. Don't offer people free stuff. And don't make special exceptions for people. There are tons of people that come to canada (many just visiting or working) and just stay here rather than go through the proper steps (and get denied) because they know some bleeding heart liberals looking down on them will offer a bunch of them amnesty if they wait long enough and pay off the right people. You don't have to live in toronto very long to meet people who have taken advantage of the system in this way.

I live in Houston Texas. People often say that Mexicans take jobs that no one else will do. That may have been true at some point but now that we are overwhelmed by the illegal immigrants every business only hires Mexicans that speak perfect Spanish and not so perfect English. So blacks, whites and other cultures are stuck! If I wanted to live in Mexico I would move there and learn their language why do they refuse to learn ours? I love every Mexican that I have met. I also love water but I do not want to be dropped into the middle of the ocean. There are at least 350 languages spoken in America why are we bending over backwards 2 make our country bilingual to Spanish and not all the other languages?

How come this guy want to apply for papers in Canada and he did not do it in the USA? For so many years that he lived in USA. People who can't speak the national language shouldn't be moving to another country especially not illegally. I can't feel sorry for this guy. I mean sure he's probably had a rough time but having kids and then trying to illegally immigrate just doesn't seem like the right way to try to live life especially not to raise a child in. \n\nIf you want to better yourself and your family learn the language and properly apply for a visa and come work here and contribute. If he would have spent time to get in legally than he would have been an American citizen already. A lot of Americans retire to Latin America, due to the high cost of living here. So it’s fair to say that there is a problem on both sides of the border.

I was born in Seattle and left to Canada (married) when I was in early 20's!  This then was a good change for me as Vancouver was a great city compared to Seattle, moved right downtown and had a blast so for a young person (then) was great.  Met some great people from all over the world and had health care, medical/Dental etc.... I worked in the greater Vancouver area for 8 years and it was tough, very strict, and did not help that I was from the states, white bread Canadian seemed a bit jealous that I was there, sometimes not very friendly.  The Europeans I met were actually better to deal with and I got along quite well with them.  The cost of living was about the same as in Seattle.  After about 8 years being in Canada and working hard I saw America booming and the Canadian dollar was as low as $.62 cents (in late 90's) so I took my craft from Vancouver and brought it to the US just across the border, I became much happier working in the States, I took a little bit of bs but not bad from some that I had a Canadian accent (go figure when I moved up there I had a twang) I really never left the united states I will always be American and I have been still working in the US for over 20 years and deal with mainly Americans on a daily basis from all over the State of Washington.  Depending on where you grow up or end up you should never see a border Seattle and Vancouver have more in common than Vancouver / Calgary in fact most Canadians don't care much for the other provinces.  After 30 years of being part of both countries, I can say that people are people both have great offerings and if you took the best of Canada and America to combine then we would all prosper, there is so much both can learn from each other.  Bottom line:I take the best of both worlds and what they have to offer, yes, I have found less expensive goods in Canada than what they cost in the states.  I have seen it from both eyes, and if you cant be open culturally then stay away.

Preferring to live with people that are like ourselves is not racism but preference. If a black landlord chooses only black tenants, it is called diversity, but if a white one wants to rent the apartment to whites, it called racism.

I live in Canada and I can tell you a lot of people here don't like it. Would you like it to happen in your home country? Millions of people from different cultures come in and change the culture of your country? We will have no white majority countries soon.
