As a retired Police Officer I pay attention to people who spend alot of time in certain isles without a shopping cart. And I think he was carrying a shopping bag. I'm black. I have seen white people walk through the grocery store eating chips, packaged danish and drinking soda, finish eating and leave the wrappings on a shelf, never thinking about paying. I saw a young black mother in CVS take toothpaste and drop it in the baby dag in the back of the baby carriage, without paying. If you work in a store they are told to watch out for shoplifters. I've seen video of white people joking they can go shoplifting anytime because the store employees or security are so busy watching black people. Unfortunately minorities are watched more. If I go in my handbage, or backpack I go into the main isle where everyone can see what I'm doing. They don't need to guess what I'm doing. That's just me.

I grew up in Brampton in the 90s. Sure, it's become a lot more crowded. But still I love it here. The people are nice and I get to experience so many cultures. I've even had free lunch many times at the Sikh temples here. For people hating Brampton and saying USA is better, have you ever been to The Bronx NY or Newark NJ? They look like third world countries and you can't go out at night. I don't see any reason for hating Brampton other than racism.

This is happening in Australia but we've become a soft target ,try doing the same thing in China and you'd be locked up for life if not executed .Anyone whose visited China will know that scamming is a way of life .You get into a taxi and you receive counterfeit change back , you buy 3Kg of apples and when you get home it only weighs 2.5 kg . I've spoken to a few who have been scammed by Canadian immigration lawyers in BC! Fortunately for them nothing illegal actually happened! In fact, nothing happened at all and the lawyers just took the money! Have to be very careful who one trusts.

Ok so there's a lot of back and forth racial comments in here so I'm going out on a limb. I've been living in castlemore bramton since 2005 1st phase. It was multicultural then, which is how it should be. I grew up in Woodbridge where there were more Italians than other cultures, but I could get a job there,and I did not feel out of place. The problem that I have with Brampton is that, the Indians do not hire any other culture in their business places, from the banks straight down to the grocery stores. I would also like to keep my property value up to par and even that's becoming hard. Segregation is UNACCEPTABLE!!. It bothers me that the government is allowing this to happen. I see job postings online that's asking for Punjabi as a second language. Any job postings in Canada should have either French or English requirement, any other language(s) is a plus. This comment is based on my own experience being a resident of Brampton. Facts is facts!
