It’s about time people see how double standards are between nationalities, even just standing there I get judged by something standing around! I’m native from kitimat b.c, 54 years old, still going through everything that’s been air right now. There still a big problem IN CANADA!????Especially when the american people come in to town for work. This pandemic goes way back to when the first? Europions? First land . And still going on????????which will be the first to be cured, covid or prejudice???????

Both me and my wife have Master’s degrees. Problem is I got a CLB 8 band getting us a totalk CRS score of 402 only. I wanted to write IELTS again but not able to get test dates here in the USA; earliest is May 2021. \nNow, I also know of two other ways of improving CRS; PNP from Alberta and BC Tech Program.\nHere are a few questions popping in my head:\nWould it be a good idea to create an Express Entry profile with 402 score and wait for Alberta to pick us for PNP? \nWhat happens if I submit my Express Entry profile and later I get a better IELTS score and want to submit that profile?\nI’m obviously using the Alberta PNP only for PR, so what are restrictions on us to stay/work in Alberta? Our plan is settle down in Vancouver, BC. \nI just found out about the BC Tech program from one of your videos and planning to prepare and apply for jobs there. This is crazy to me, I brought my mom from El Salvador as a US permanent resident in May of 2019. I filed all the paper work and here she is now. You can't just leave everything to the lawyer without you getting involved. I feel bad for her. I am 32 year now myself. In other words we need to read and learn. I'm of Scottish/Irish descent and few people are whiter than I am plus I have freckles and auburn hair. I had just moved to Orlando and dropped off several prescriptions to an Eckerd's drugstore. Rather than leaving and returning 30 to 45 minutes later decided to look around and see the store layout for future reference. I wasn't wearing a coat and I never opened my purse. I got my prescriptions and left the store. An alarm beeped and the manager came outside, grabbed my arm and yanked me back into the store. A security guard watched as I was taken into a little office, had my purse contents dumped on the floor and was told I must have stolen something. I pointed out the teenagers who were blatantly stuffing things in cargo pants pockets. They ignored them. After pawing through my things I was told I could put the stuff back in my purse. I demanded the manager pick up everything and put it on his desk and then I'd put it in my purse. As I left the alarm rang again. We realized the Stone Mountain metal label on the front of my purse set off the alarm. He never apologized. I called the corporate office and was told he'd get a reprimand. I could have charged him with assault. Grabbing me and forcing me into his store and office against my will violated FL laws. I never set foot in that store again and warned everyone I met not to. It may have been a coincidence but the store was shut down within 6 months. Others of different races said that manager had harassed them, too.

Ah...a LOT of Canadian dudes leave their family for weeks, even months to make money up North! Why is this made to seem so horrible and dramatic...Like, it cost us 15, 000 dollars ourselves to move to Sacramento with my husband's job with the Hard Rock Cafe Corp....we were living at the poverty line there...my husband was never home...my Visa was cancelled after 911. Gratefully, I was able to just boot it back home to Canada I detested living in the U. S , and only went along to support my American born husband, anyway. It seems to me that these ppl's expectations were uninformed and unrealistic. Canada is a welcoming refuge, but as with everything, theres a process to becoming Canadian.

Remembered in the early 90’s working at one of the Big 8 accounting firms and interviewing a fella who had a turban and we talked about everything from work to Ice Hockey. Thought he was a good fit and went back to sit with the team (all White) and atmosphere was very clear, the turban fella was not to be considered. I sat quiet as the lowest on the pecking order. To be fair, we did have other minorities and even a staff with the name Mohammed - but they were far and few in-between. Industry has changed and we now have partners from minority groups (clearly tied to groups and countries that have grown economically). Unfortunately discrimination or prejudices still exist and seems to have made a comeback led by Trump.

I find myself into a controversy right now, I was moving to Sydney before the pandemic but with quarantine and everything my visa got stuck for several months, so I decided I wanted to move to Vancouver, and I got into a college(UCW) but now I just got my visa approved for Australia just when I was going to apply to Canadá for a visa, so I will have to decided if cancel my Australian visa and lose the money or wait for them to open borders which not seems very likely rn. Haha

I'm white but discriminated against at a doctors office because I wasnt dressed nice and had insurance but hadn't met my deductible. She tried to refuse me and said right in front of me, shell never pay. I threw afit and refused to leave until I got treated. I have been discriminated against alot because I dont blow my money on the nice hair, nails and clothes and all the other nice things everyone else has.But that's ok because everything I own is paid for. Alot of sacrifice but I'd rather have my little place in the woods then to fit into today's society.

Targeting because of skin colour is wrong of course.\n I am not offended when asked to open my bags before I leave a store. But being white, I don't experience racism so I guess my perspective is different. I could see that being a slipery slope though, when one has to prove everything in a bag was purchased elsewhere.\n I enter stores sometimes with two bike paniers full of gear for the changing weather. \nIf there was a safe place to secure bags at the entrance, I wouldn't be offended to leave it there.But stores wouldn't want that cause that cost money. Instead we criminalize people, particularly people of colour.

Just by seeing this makes me think if this is what was happening when I was in a cvs one time. I ordered some stones for my nails online but it was going to come later thin I needed so I seen cvs had some stones with a set of nails but I was not able to decide on what stones so I bought one of all the ones they had but I had a lady walk pass me so many times. I happened to notice after a week later a go back to pick up medication and they put the nails in the front of the store. Smh I have everything I need when it comes to my nails and know never buy it from cvs. They was high priced anyways. It cost me 32 dollars for the 10 stones at cvs and my order online was 25 for 100 stones.
