I think subtle racism is actually a very practical type of stereotyping and it didn't just got created out of air, there is a big chunk of that specific race (be it any race according to the stereotype) who actually prove the stereotype to be right. I am from india, living in Canada and if some house owner would prefer a white guy over me to rent their house, I would not blame him since a lot of people don't like the smell of spices that we cook all the time.\n\nAs far as stereotyping is sublet and not rude or hurting, I don't think it's actually so much of racism rather then preference.\n\nI just want to make it clear though that I do support racism, whatever is happening in US and a lot of other countries which is violent is a very horrible thing. Hello, I just watched your video. Three years after you made it. I hope you are still with us and a very belated Welcome. Many people throughout the world seem to have so many stereotypes about Americans. Whether it is good or bad there typically is some truth in a stereotype. Overall it seems like you are enjoying yourself and no matter what there is no place like home. I would think no matter what your current situation is you still miss Canada as I would miss the United States if I were to move to Canada. \nA couple things you mentioned in the video were not correct and as with anything there may be a little truth in the matter but yet still incorrect.\nThose who do not have health insurance are not charged or taxed $150 monthly. There is a provision in the affordable care act (ACA) that penalizes certain individuals who make above a certain dollar amount. The amount is either $150 or $300 for the entire year. I concur any monetary penalty against anyone for not having health insurance is outrageous. I could be wrong but I believe this aspect of the ACA was never implemented under President Obama and it was indefinitely suspended or revoked by President Trump. I also feel like I need to address your thoughts about the United States all about war. I believe the American people are like most other people and want peace and civility. The government and major defense contractors have differing opinions at times. Of course there is plenty of people who are war hawks but they are in the minority. Most of us are absolutely sick of war. We currently have been at war for almost 19 years. That's six complete world war 2's in their entirety. \nI think you were being awfully generous when you said obesity is on par with the rest of the world!! Unfortunately there is far to many fat people here and the problem is only getting worse because the media says be happy and proud you are fat. Celebrating obesity is absolutely insane and it sends the wrong message to young people. If a close one is fat of course I love them but I also tell them privately that they are a walking heart attack. It's more than OK to accept someone the way they are but as a friend or family member you doing them a disservice by not mentioning their obesity. \nI'm sorry if you feel I'm being to harsh or critical. I think it is a wonderful thing to share the world's longest border with such a great nation as Canada. I have always thought Canada was like the United States fraternal brother or sister. While I am daily trying to pass the English test to be eligible for getting Canadian PR, these people just pay money and get PR easily. Even I knew a lot of foreign students are paying money for faked marriage to become Canadian citizen, what a shame on that. I can afford that money but I never want to break the rule. Please prove that Canada government has created fair and equal immigration system for all people.

I learned something new today from watching this documentary, the fact that they actually named a town & a park Africville in the great white north. Some people are naive while others are not when it comes to racism. The very fact of the world has been conquered & dominated with the white supremacy mentality leave very little to be surprise that Canada had slaves. I think from what I've come to understands is that having slavery for 250 yrs most white Canadians will pretend to not be racist, but it's like those two kids in your class the one who had the paper thrown at him & the one who did it doesn't act like he did anything & the rest are just as bad because they saw who did it but are complicit by not saying anything. No one wants to be the rat, but at the same time they all know why the one kid that threw the paper did it & the one that had it done to them knows exactly why.

A good percentage of Asian people in Canada refuse the Canadian passport not to lose their Asian citizenships. How is this allowed? You don’t want the passport guess what lots of other people in the world would love to come and become Canadians

It is really disheartening to see all this. I had a dream of coming to canada for study when I was young but due to lack of money I failed to come. After that I always wanted to try find a job from outside canada I failed. I am in a situation that I see no way to come to canada . I always wanted to to come work hard make money and start a good life, moreover i had plans to setup my business there with that money and give others the job. And these scammers have it so easy way out . Seems like honesty has no place left. At least give them harsh punishments that will make genuine people feel better.

I went to canada with my family when i was 6 years old i thought it was so beautiful the native americans treated us with kindness my dad bought me some moccisens there. A chinese immagrant restaurant owner was nice to us the white people many of them wrent very nice this was in 1969 in the summer but i loved the wilderness and wanted to go back and see the indians. I was a dreamer. Unfortenately and through my own fault after i got out of the military honerably discharged . I got a dui again it was my stupidity but i payed my fine did my jail time and got educated about not drinking and driving. It is not a felony i the US but it is in Canada so canada gets ahold of my driving records maybe they hacked in. And said i could not go into canada. I noticed they let george w. Busch in though oh well i dont think canada even pretends fainess under the law . Any way they are now letting elligals into canada and giving them a hotel room . The duplicity is absurd personally i no longer want to go to canada for anything i think the wall should be put on the northern border. The thing is, Mexico is not in conflict for its people to seek asylum somewhere else. It is not good to just jump ship to any country and fight whoever so that you stay there. You struggled. You spent so much money on lawyers, when immigration laws don't approve of anyone going into US illegally and then file asylum. Sorry but the immigration lawyers just took your money and pretend to help you and that there are solutions. If a US citizen jumps ship to your country, would you declare that his presence there is illegal? US, Canada or any country wouldn't want that. It's like jumping on one's lawn, make house and wouldn't want to leave. That's how it is.
