From residential schools to exploiting international students creating these multibillion colleges who lure students to Canada and exploiting them financially and mentally. Canada is just using people as Cash cows to build their economy strong just in the Name of eduction . This needs to STOP! .Period!

Recruiters are scammers, these people coming here are also scammers. Canadians are going homeless because of these scammers. Most of the Canadians don’t understand. They dropped interest rates to nearly zero to stimulate the economy during covid. 3 months in it was obvious that industry wasn't doing anything because covid stopped things. Housing went crazy. After 3 months they should have put interest rates back up. Nope. Instead they kept them down and allowed the most immigration ever in Canada's history. 100% the fault of the liberal government. This is why a prime minister needs to have some knowledge of monetary policy

Guys, my opinion will be controversial, I apologise! You gloss through infrastructure like it is easy to build - efficient train tracks, trains, maintained roads, reliable transportation systems (foundation of a any economy), Security forces, financial services, maybe health facilities etc. Almost every equipment you use have been invented and distributed (earn profits too) by the West to provide a high standard of living. Please acknowledge and appreciate the West. I'm Nigerian, so I know the benefits of living abroad. Hate the racism but their services are impeccable.

I think you nailed the reason why it’s so difficult to live in Canada. - lots of immigrants, flowing money out of the economy, while the citizens pay higher taxes to receive/supply for an inclusive, low-quality, infrastructure that supports people that want to leave. Realistically, you can’t be entitled and not commitment at the same time. It’s like someone coming to your house to complain about the meal the host bought, and cooked, for you and not even saying thank you . Instead you decide to leave the host with a big turd in their toilet, and ask them when they’ll have you and your family back for more free stuff.

No place is cool, Canada is a better place to live than in african where our politician use tax payers for their own and family benefits and let the poor suffer without any benefits or help from the government. I have lived in Toronto for 26years. Canada is a living hell, quarter of your income goes to taxes, and 14% tax on anything you buy. Now that Tyrant Trudeau has destroyed the economy, we are doomed.

I left Canada years ago and haven't looked back - the taxation is over the top! Not to mention the simple joy of going out to eat/drink, then you need to add taxes (3 of them!) + tip! The heathcare system is also a bit of a false economy - long wait times for doctors, emerg etc. The weather during the winteris challenging. I'm fine with high taxes as long as I can have a second residence in Canada. There's a lot of crime within the USA, and Canada is a safe haven depending on the type of crime we're talking about. I'm sure you understand what i'm saying. I'm not entering the Country to work there. I'd bring my businesses there, and help the economy as a permanent resident, and citizen of USA. My only problem is that i don't know how to become a permanent resident as an entrepreneur.

Canada business system prefers the big franchises businesses that have millions of dollars. If you have a small shop or restaurant get beaten by the big corporations that has franchises. the food costs are high and when selling u just cant sell for a better profit that can actually make you money. The Chinese and Indians knows how to sell little many items at a low cost just to be on a very tinny profitable way to keep on going. The Multi big paying makes money in Canada not the small business immigrants come and create. Those business don't built wealth because the big corporations are pushed by the Gov more in creating jobs and paying the big corporate taxes that in turn the taxes help support the social programs for those that cant work and also providing the basic needs to those that needs it through the taxes paid. In many African states many of the individual business that strife and create wealth because there isn't too much huge corporations that competes with this small business like the first world nations. In SA for example we have seen an explosion of many migrants going there creating small business and striving better than they will be in Canada. The taxes are high in Canada that's true u cant be rich sorry u will work until you lose your hair f not your hair turns white in a very short time due to too much stress and worries. Canada is good for social programs it takes care off those that don't' work if you work forget about getting rich but supporting those that don't work through the allocated taxes. Canada and the first world nations supports Big corporation and Franchising not really a fan of small business even when they are here they just don't create huge profits to think they will make it. In fact when the economy falls those shops easily shut down entirely and when they do reopen they barely make profits. I have seen Nigerian, Ghanaian small shops with Ethiopian and Jamaican business.

You did not even mention the far left agenda where the gouvernement creates a system where the people become dependent on the system. A weird distorted economy where you pay 48.5% in taxes for insane social unsustainable systems that when you truly need them they are not fully available. I dont want to pop some bubbles here, but about Quebec, the house market raised waaaaay over what is actually affordable for us. Our economy isn't that great anymore. Everything is rising except salaries. Rents are becoming expensive in Montreal (and greater Montreal) with an average of 1100$/month for a 3 1/2. With an average of 1450$/ month for a 4 1/2. If someone actually has a 4 1/2 for 900$/month, that person is actually lucky. Crime's rate is rising as well in Montreal, poverty too. Me and my HTB are actually at the neck eventho we are both working. The healthcare system is a mess and it's been that way for over 30years. Dont count on them if you are class P1 in the emergency room, they will still let you wait and rot for hours.

I have to respectfully disagree with you girls on the tax system in Canada. You mention that you cannot be a millionaire or a billionaire. \n\nI really think that is the problem with our generation, excessive greed, everyone wants to be a millionaire/billionaire, but the reality is most of people in this world will only live an average middle class life or below, that has been the case throughout history in every country on earth. \n\nInstead of wanting to be a millionaire you should strive follow your passion and to master your craft, and if and when you do so, the end result maybe you achieving millionaire billionaire status \n\nThis how most rich people got their wealth, they worked at their craft and had passion and eventually they got the wealth that came along with it \n\nI agree with Canada's progressive tax system, the only problems we have run into since 2010 is that the government has been misallocating taxes collected and giving co-operate tax breaks. But the principle of the progressive tax system makes sense, because up until recently (2010ish) it prevented the nation's wealth from accumulating at the top and in the process increased the velocity of money.\n\n This enabled business to thrive because money was constantly changing hands instead of being concentrated at the top. \n\nThis had an overall effect of enabling most Canadians to join the middle class and in turn make Canada an attractive destination for many immigrants including your selves \n\nIf Canadian system did not have a progressive tax system, there would be gross inequality with all the associated problems (crime/drugs etc). \n\nI really think prospective immigrants should be realistic about their expectations before moving to Canada to avoid dissatisfaction. \n\nIf you could not be a millionaire in the country you were born in and of which culture you belong, but some how you believe that you can move half a world away and become a millionaire. \n\nYou know part of the reason you could not even achieve middle income statust in Africa (I am from Africa as well) let alone be a millionaire is because all the wealth in most African countries is concentrated in the hands of a few corrupt bastards in the government. \n\nThis concentration of wealth at the top is possible when there is no progressive tax system and ensures economic equilibrium in all sectors of the economy\n\nIt is the reason why there is no jobs or opportunity for young people in developing countries \n\nDo not get me wrong you can still be a millionaire in Canada, but you will have to really earn it, there is no shortcuts in life\n\nPatience, passion and perseverance is the key.

Having lived in Vancouver for 20 some years, I have to say that they pretend the economy is doing great and they base it on the housing market which is unnaturally inflated. The economy hasn't been doing well for several years. $800 000 house median is hard to believe. I think most houses are over $1 000 000. Also, the weather is iffy. You don't get super cold temperatures in the winter but you get super wet weather.

I'm dual American and Canadian citizen love both countries but choose to live in the usa better roads and more opportunities better weather more landscapes tropical beaches to deserts mountains forest strong economy everything imaginable in one country plus freedom;))))love the usa ?? blessed

U got some facts wrong like Quebec being the most historical place in Canada. Newfoundland is actually more historical as st.johns was established in 1497 and Quebec city over 100 years later being established in 1608. Though I am an Indian I can understand the frustration of racist people like this woman..Though it sounds very ugly and is not acceptable behaviour, however immigrants from any country mines included must understand that they can't escape the problems of their nation and find an el Dorado or solace in rich and advanced countries..While I don't mean to be racist but the ecosystem in the western world, which attracts people from other nations especially the third world has been created mainly by white euopean settlers..
