Due to too many unhappy citizens of many lands, most productive, constructive countries are over- flooding with other nations peoples. It’s too much. When a person goes somewhere other than their own land less and less of these countries are willing to allow any more refugees in their country. Why because it’s about economics. In economic in an economy all things must be paid for. This is an Democratic society, almost all things are available through businesses. The medium of exchange for all ‘goods and services ‘ are conducted through the means of money. The masses of our nations people are not wealthy. Which most indulge themselves in employment. Employment in exchange for hours of pay we get paid.!The person most quailed to be employed are the citizens of these nations and not other nations people. What I am saying is that each land is more interested in their own home grown employee. So when you the non resident come without our permission you are the one placing yourself and your family in peril. Which means you are responsible for the pain and losses you suffer do to you either misunderstandings or non-available knowledge. Work towards asking for a better government for your own home land. And less people will be disappointed when you are rejected from lands who are already too filled !

The woman in Nikab is right. The Nikab is a symbol of her Will. Here she is unwilling to show her face and she insist about that. she has the right of insisting whatever choose !! A man or a woman is not so owe to listen to the other. Only the constitution along with law has the power to make a query over a person's doing.

Racism is defiantly a problem BUT offers are USUALLY based on credit scores. They didn’t provide more than one test that ‘determines bias’?!?!?!? These tests are garbage. PEOPLE OFFER HELP based physiology. Example... If someone looks like they are looking for something then they don’t know what they want. If you offer help and customers deny but hang elongated experiences of looking for something — one would look for ‘why’ is this person still looking heavily for something but yet denied help.

NO ONE CAN MOVE ANYONE TO CHANGE. ONLY JESUS CAN DO THAT. EVERYONE BELIEVES THEY'RE RIGHT. JUST LEAVE EACH OTHER ALONE OR IT WILL GET WORSE. HOW PERSONAL DO YOU WANT TO GET. ;-)

I'm sometimes ashamed to be white. Whilst I am biased, my bias is based on a persons behaviour.

Terrible social experimentation, also boarders on unethical to experiment on the unknowing public!!!! Racism is bad but provoking sexism, violence and prejudice for the sake of a social experiment. Personally I question if it is even legal to conduct social experimentation on the general public???

No religious texts talks about killing of every other person non Muslim except Islam and it is written in ‘Abu al Baqr & Al-Taqia’.

Why do you think this happens? Due to personal experience from owners of rental facilities.

Stereotypes exist for a reason... there's some kind of truth to them. White person cant dance? ...not 100% true, maybe closer to 85%. Close enough to true to be a stereotype.

All these Muslim person do not know how the brain process a belief not one Muslim has been able to answer \nThey do not know what is the basic elements of a belief \nThey do not know what is consciousness \nThey do not know what is the basic elements that keep poeple conscious\nThey do not know how sin is related to satan \nThey do not know how Jesus Christ crushed the head of satan by being nailed on a cross \nIslam do not know how to apply science in their religion whereas \nChristianity can explain how to apply mathematics physics and chemistry to speak about salvation

A speed test with flashing pictures putting people under pressure leads to inconsistent results let the same person do the test 10 times and find a average because 1 test will not determine a sound result

Every person with some commonsense should be able to UNDERSTAND how ISIS came about to be formed and sponsored by the you know who. Think people and not believe what the media says always.

If profiling works, you should profile. If you think a certain looking person is more likely to steal and you profile that type of person and the amount that is stolen from your store decreases, keep doing it.

so for the curious, the guy was asking someone off camera (his wife I assume) to hold his phone so he could move his car out of the way for the woman. that's what I got from it.\nwhich puts their personalities in quite stark contrast.

Black person: Good afternoon officer what seems to be the problem? ?\n\nCop: *Sir I’m gonna need you to calm down!*

As a Pakeha [european decent] from New Zealand. This is my personal take on this . I think many of us may unknowingly be micro-aggressive towards people of colour without realising it. Which is possibly why we don't think we are racist. Many of us do believe sincerly that we are not part of it. It often is never right someone put hands on your hair [personal space and it's not accetpable,. My personal space includes my wheelchair]. vThanks for sharing this. Its a conversation I will have with me, to start with,

Being black in Canada is hard. I completely dislike White supremacy and any white person who is sensitive to talk about race is racist simple, they don't want to admit about there white privilege.

Thank you for covering this topic. I hope you guys do more segments like this. As a person of colour living in Canada I can definitely relate to the things that were said. I agree, the burden of change should not just be put on the shoulders of POC. Great discussion!

Is it possible for metal fabricator to apply this program? How can I apply for it as a skill Trade person ( journy man ) ?
2020-02-12 0
The only problems I can see with blind recruitment is, the person's application might be accepted, but if they have to interview in person they can still be rejected. Of if it is a phone interview and you have an accent you might not make pass it. Even if you get hired with blind recruitment and not interview is required, once you start working, if you are a minority some employers might look for ways to fire you. So it's a good concept, but still needs a little tweaking.

I have read a lot of these replies and they all said that why didn't he learn English language. I myself have asked this question to some of my coworkers and this was there reply that was told to me by another person who understood what they said IT'S FREEDOM OF SPEECH and they got mad cause I laughed and said that is not what that means but yet they all got mad .but after they were told what it really meant was just as confusing as what they have been believing that it ment that they didn't have to learn a new language and now they have all are and have learned English. So my point is that it's not that they don't want to learn the language but they were denied the truth. I am by far taking up for anyone I am just asking for help with the understanding that if they didn't learn English is because they were told that they didn't have to that's all. And if I can learn a new language then why can't anyone else.

Trudeau is personally responsible for this. Rising false hopes to people who are desperate to be settled. His is certainly an ass, likely worse.

Try to get help at Walmart when you’re a white person mean while they are following a brown person.
2020-01-31 0
I'm not saying there isn't discrimination, but I think it's across the board. Had a black person been handling the job of the real estate agent or an Asain person, do you think the outcome would have been different? Why is the white person always targeted as the oppressor? There are plenty of people in decision-making positions of other races who determine outcomes. How about leveling the field?
2020-01-30 0
It isn't one way. There are landlords and companies that belong to minorities that don't employ people of a different colour to them, how about reporting on that.\n\n\n\nAs a white person, I have been followed about in a shop, so don't think it is due to racism.
2020-01-26 0
But what causes persons to become racists?\n\nEdit: Doesn’t statistics show that minorities tend to commit crime higher than normal? Crime ridden areas are relativity people of color ?
2020-01-26 0
If you are a store owner and if for instance five out of ten shop lifters you caught in the past were a person of certain race; isn’t it only natural to be more wary of the group that had the highest ratio of shop lifters? This is not bc of racism but rather due to your experience.

as for the niqab test unfortunately it resembles a bandana and people wearing bandana's already have a bad enough reputation in today's world so it doesn't really help the situation im not so sure its a racial thing but just a stereotype of someone covering their face being a bad person like try the same thing but as a caucasian with a bandana over your face you'll end up getting similar results

Have you seen the left? Anti white progressives. Less whites and more POCs that is the progressive motto. No one can hire a person because they are qualified, they have to hire because of skin color or sexual orientation.

it is not personal it is what the media pushes
2020-01-21 0
If it’s not “one thing”, it’s a “different thing”; most people in my socioeconomic position gets uncomfortable treatment in many situations. Personally, I’ve been a target for guys (of all ages & job status, married or not, a bum or not), to “hit on me”, ALL my life & I wasn’t taught ways to deal with this. It sounds “petty” to some people or maybe “flattering”, but actually, when it comes from anyone & everyone, it’s NOT nice! And there’s no one I can “sue”. There’s not even a place where I can get “help” & guidance. \nIm certainly glad I made it a priority, with my daughters, to explain, advise & guide them about how to deal with their level of attractiveness. ???????????

Psychology student here. In the interest of accurate information, I would like to point out some flaws I find with some of the studies in this documentary and question the conclusions reached. I understand that CBC Marketplace are not personality psychologists and therefore cannot be expected to produce the same quality of work as a scientist. However, I think it is worthwhile to think critically about the information in the media that we consume. I am also open to anyone who wants to engage in debating the contents of this documentary.\n\n\nThe following are some notes I took while watching the documentary outlining the individual hypotheses of the studies I think are flawed and descriptions of their respective accompanying errors. \n\n\nThere are three possible research questions, and thereby dependent variables, being answered by the apartment hunting studies.\n1. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \n \n2. If there is no discrimination between the white man and the first-nations man between Toronto, Montreal, Regina, and Victoria, then they should get equal treatment, including quotes and availability, when apartment hunting. \na. Could total apartments visited be a confounding variable? (4 in Toronto, 3 in Montreal, Regina, and Victoria) \nb. Could the gender of the landlord be a confounding variable (perhaps men are more discriminatory than women)? \nc. They only showed the black man apartment hunting in some of the trials. I am considering him out of the study for consistency purposes. The first-nations man is the only one who got unfair treatment in the footage of apartment hunting. \n \n3. Possible hypothesis: If male landlords/agents are more discriminatory than female landlords/agents, then the white man and the first-nations man will get different treatment at different Canadian apartments in equally diverse cities. \na. Don’t know all the information about the genders of the landlords/agents, not all the footage is shown, but the ones where they get ripped off are male. The others shown are female. The remaining interactions are not shown.\n\n\nThere are also some factors that may have influenced the racial bias survey and, in my estimation, rendered it scientifically unreliable.\n\n\n1. The bias survey and accompanying tests at the CBC attributed the differences between the studies to unconscious racism. What if it was just due to familiarity with certain racial groups over others? \na. The black participants had no bias between European-American and African Americans, supposedly indicating no racism, while the white and first-nations participants did, supposedly indicating racism. Is it possible that another interpretation of this result is that bias is a function of familiarity: that we are comfortable with the majority demographic in the geographical location we live in, as well as our own kind. Therefore, the black guys are less biased against black people due to being both black and living in a white majority demographic? \nb. The participants took the survey knowing the objectives of the researchers was to study racial discrimination. They might have influenced the answers they gave \nc. Whether the participants agreed with identity politics or not was a confounding factor that was not controlled . You can only be racially unbiased biased if you think that racial identity is a means of accurately viewing the world. People who do not believe in the existence of identity politics may answer the questions quite differently, which could be a different reason for the results.\nd. I took the study myself. The words that participants were required to match were a mix of adjectives and nouns. It is known within psychology that nouns have higher levels of imagery. This was not properly controlled and therefore is another confounding variable. \n \nAll the other studies looked fine to me. I welcome any discussion on my observations.

I have a problem with the word tolerance. Who are you to tolerate another person? Simply don't treat people differently from anyone else. Tolerance, implies a level of superiority, that you should allow another.

Whenever some white person tells me to go back to my country when I speak khmer in public, I tell them “Go back to Europe”
2020-01-17 0
This is a great video it's hard being a person of colour in even today's world. There is a lot of passive aggressive racism in the form of discrimination on a big scale. The thing about race is you can't really talk to white people about racism because they don't really experience it. I would like to see a social experiment to where white people go into predominantly minority areas and see how they get treated.

Curious how a white person would be treated in a predominantly black or hispanic country. Sure its easy to find when the population is predominantly white.
