I’m thinking about India , would love to retire in Pune or Bangalore or up North in the Punjab region. They seem to like us whites and the food is amazing. They speak English in India and everything is cheap Compared to Canada. At least semi retire there for me during our winter months. Goa looks great too.. care to share any opinions ?

Canada has no culture of its own. People from all around the world gathered here to escape wars, political issues, or for economic reasons from their home country. When honeymoon period is over (around 5 years) they start realizing that leaving behind their own people, culture, festivals, food, etc was not a good idea. Life in Canada (maybe in United States too) is very monotonous and robotic. Years and years go by\nand people are doing same thing over and over. Weather is very unpredictable to plan out anything in advanced. Due to bad weather entire country is designed to be indoors. People leave their wooden houses in cars to work in buildings with no open windows. Unless you leave in core downtown you won't see people on road as everybody is either in their vehicles, in their house, or slaving away at work. To all people who are looking to relocate to Canada: If you are doing well in your home country then do not leave. Life in western countries look good from far but when you live here it's different. Loneliness and depression will be your biggest enemy. Stay in your home country around your own culture and people.

Newfoundland is by far the worst province in Canada. Awful food and stupid people. If I never go to that awful rock again it’s too soon.

I'm Canadian and I love both Canada and the US. However, I don't think I would live permanently in the US because I think life is better in Canada overall. We have free healthcare, so no medical bills and no health insurance to deal with. Only a bigger tax bill that doesn't change according to your health situation. We have much less crime, especially gun related crime. We have less poverty and a much better social safety net. It horrifies me how many Americans are homeless even if they previously had a good job, but they had to stop working because of a health condition. We have less political extremism and polarization. Extremist Christians have no control over our politics, so LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights are much safer here than in the US. We don't have cities being burnt down by antifa on one side, and elections and social peace being jeopardized by MAGA extremists on the other. On a more positive note, I love the weather of the US, their fast food joints, their local food, the landscapes, the cheaper gas and all the attractions. I really wish the US could solve all its problems and become a better country. Maybe one day, we could end up similar and open our borders like Europeans do with the Schengen Accord.

Quebec...get right. I was born in that hell-hole and as an English kid growing up in the highly separatist east end of Montreal my childhood was miserable. The french are so bent on having their own little country they treated anglos like dirt. Try driving east towards New Brunswick and stopping anywhere to get food or whatever, you better parlez the francais or you'll be looked at like you a criminal. I have been reading the posts and almost all are saying life is lonely, here in US or Canada or Eu. So why do you want to come. You can happily stay in your country and enjoy your culture or whatever. It looks like the season that you're filming is winter and its going to be very cold in most places, so most of them stay back in their houses. Everything is available along with all kinds of foods in these countries. May be you dont know how to cook any kind of food and you might have been used to somebody cooking for you. If you feel stressed then meditate or do yoga or take a long walk on these beautiful and clean roads that are not found in many countries.. OR Stay back and dont come to USA/Canada/EU, unnecessarily leaving all that goodness in your countries.

Come to India, you can never feel lonely..........billions of people, streets jammed with traffic, high density population, stray dogs, stray cows, continous honking from vehicles etc......it's a happening place I can tell you, it may seem chaotic at first but India will never feel boring and depressed and to mention each month there are some festivals, celebrations, fares and street foods......India acts like an anti-depressant

Americans are selfish it is only their immediate partner and kids and not even kids when their kids are 18 they cant wait for them to leave or the kids cant wait to leave. When I was a little girl growing up in Belize I ONLY wanted to come to America to be with my mother.. she brought me to America when I was 11 years old by the time I was 14 years old I had so much anger I ask my self, why would she bring me to America? I wanted to know why didn't she just leave me in Belize and take care of me from there. I hate it here, who would do this to their children? why would you take me from Paradise and bring me to hell... I know my mother wanted a better life for me but all I saw was loneliness anger family separated the food is not healthy the air is not healthy the education I care nothing for Meaning what I was being taught in school would not prepare me for the real world... with that being said I truly truly appreciate all the sacrifice that my mother did I love and appreciate America but I can't wait to move back home. ? Living in America is not living ? you are only surviving ?

Another issue is that some white families have sold off or abandoned their family homes in once vibrant community's because they have refused to live with other people of color who happen to move in. Then black communities build up over say 50 to 75 years a great community, their own churches , schools, day cares, playground, crime watch and near jobs and easy transportation suddenly others with money wish to expand in those same areas. So taxes go up. Fire insurance goes up. Schools are closed down due to so called lack of budgets. Factory's move out farther. And or new higher technologies come in only looking for a few or certain type of trained skilled workers with higher educational degree's. All of these complex events cause the death of a functional great long standing community. By the time others come and say hey, where are the kids, where is the small local business and the great gardens, farmer markets or book clubs, libraries, community workshops, and black church's giving out food? Trust me its not such a simple answer. Many many other forces are at play. Entire sections of the city and rural areas have gone through displacement.

I am an Indian and I have lived in sweden for 4 years. It is more or less the same. I tried calling people for food but most of them never showed up or had no Interest. I am glad I left and return back to my country. Everything in moderation makes sense to me. If money is important then so is your culture, food and family that brings comfort to you. In the developing world, you will generally find people more friendly and welcoming. It is easy to get around with people. But not so in the west.

Developers and builder being charged 40% more for development charges (per door) so the cost gets passed down to the buyer...to the point new home prices stop making sense and builders don’t want to build. Babyboomers have raised their kids into a very protective bubble. The consequence of this is laziness and fear of everything. which also reflects on how poorly the economy is doing, since a lot of young people dont want work, are not creative, not resourceful, very dependent, addicted to food, drugs and video games. America has not changed, the people have!

I am an Irish man that moved to the U.S.S.A twenty years ago. And my ass and all my other bits and pieces are now ( Thanks Christ be to Jesus) back in Ireland. My mom says to me how come you don't have a house yet? I'm 50 yrs old and in the early 80's my family built a house for 55k included the lot and no bank loan. My parents sold that home 35 yrs later for 400k now a bank won't give you a mortgage unless you have 20% or more down and a 2 bed house thats decent is 500k minimum. You do the math food,gas, basic necessities are too much and wages haven't change carpenters make the same as they did 40 yrs ago and they are the lowest paid out of all trades.

After living in Thailand, I I realize how much time People are outside more making a lively atmosphere, living more in the moment enjoying good food and friends...Same in many Latin American countries, I never was alone, certainly.

Nice video. But that’s absolutely not the complete picture, not at all. Most of the city has more people and houses are right next to each other. After few blocks they have open space, park for kids and play ground. Such as NY city. Go to Queens or Brooklyn or Bronx or even Manhattan. Please don’t scare people! For sure if anyone come from Africa or Asia or Latin America would never miss their country. You gonna find same food, clothes, and society here. Even better. I can’t agree with you more. I think they don’t trust their neighbours and also too much formality kills openness and friendship. We in India enjoy our neighbours’ company and children play and cycle outside. Also we keep visiting our neighbours’ house and exchange treats and food. \nIndians visiting the west complain about these unfriendly ways quite a lot and dread to go there.

Canada is basically earning fast food wages while having to pay executive level expenses in all aspects of life. You do the math and understand this Ponzie scheme. The local social life is cold and sucks too.

I lived in America for more than 20 years. The loneliness, boredom, emptiness as well as racism was too much to handle. I retired early and moved back home in Africa. Am the happiest I’ve ever been. Family everywhere, organic good food, never Lonely, sunshine overall mentality much much better. You couldn’t pay me enough to go back. What a boring life in western counties.

Nice to see you shed light on this unique issue of the west. I am from India and my parents came to visit me in the U.S and felt that isolation. In India there is a lot of online ordering but because of all the little shops and street food it's fun going out. Then we have so many people so that is another reason we have all sorts of reasons we are out. Yes it really helps to make that human contact. However people can still have depression even in our countries. Thankyou for doing this video.

I am from Kazakhstan lived in Canada Belgium America for 13 years after seeing this western boring, lonely, money saving, politically correct grocery, shelves is full of overpriced dead food and for every simple pill you need prescription wanna go back to home. but only exception Belgium was good , no complaints for Belgium ??

india has plenty of issues ranging from access to safe water and nutritious food, crippled healthcare, unemployment, rising inflation and timely stoking of religious hatred for populist gain. Social Responsibility has never been a prime talking point in India since long. Immigrants come here thinking they will make LOTS of money. Then they discover how expensive it is to live in Australia (one million dollars to buy a house), food for one for one week is $90 and they find it is hard to make LOTS of money and most find themselves in menial jobs paying little money.

Brother, You are so right! But, I am a african American who grew up in the 70’s. It wasn’t like this until blacks integrated with whites. We had fun in our neighborhoods just like you described. Any neighbor could correct us. We could just go to the neighbors house to play. I grew up in Chicago and we had block parties with dancing, games, food sand talent shows. We played games in the street after school. When we left our black communities we had to behave like whites who don’t want to socialize with us. That’s what you see where you live. So they suffer and stay inside their houses. I left Chicago for university and moved to Newark, New Jersey and it was life there too! So many cultures, people walking, languages, music, vendors on the street. Puerto Rican’s, Haitians, Dominicans, and Africans. You should be some place like that. But many places in America “now” are boring like where you showed. Move!!!

Africa is perceived to give higher social life. The truth is that our social life is derived from poor economic status. Good example, let's take Nairobi leafy suburbs or any other city. In such areas residents tend to mind their own issues hence they remain indoors of workplace. But areas with lower economics status. The residents share almost all the facilities.. what will you do indoors when you have no electricity? How will you pay for delivery services while you can not afford the food? They have communal water area. People sell their commodities anywhere even on road reserves, no designated play area hence children have to play by the roads. When the system will work properly we will experience that kind of western social life.Next time give a realistic comparison.

I lived in Canada for 15 years and this rang true more & more as the years went on, I would never order food online as I needed an excuse to leave the house. At 49 I found myself pondering what to do with my life, I went on vacation to Thailand and the first thing that struck me was the openness and friendliness of the place. People sit in the front of their house with the doors open and everybody is welcome to say hi, of course there are exceptions. I now live in Thailand with my new wife in a small village, our doors are never locked, family comes, neighbours come, kids play, everybody is welcome anytime. Such a better way to live. I'm so lucky I've got dual citizenship Canadian and British passports so after living in Canada for 10 years I decided to move back to the UK ?? to settle down with my wife and my beautiful kids. One thing I hated about Canada was the weather, public transport, lack of fashion and the foods was horrible. I've spent 10 years and the only thing I like is the Canadian passport that I have and that's all.

I was born in Manitoba and lived here for 28 years. While the negative aspects pointed out in the video are true, hardly any of the positives of living here were touched on. Yes, we do have a month or two where you can hardly spend time outside but during the winter there are beautiful sunny days often and plenty of +25-+30 days all summer long. Manitoba has an incredible amount of festivals during the summer all across Winnipeg and small towns. We have a thriving underground EDM scene where young people explore various forms of art, dance, costrumes, and musical genres every weekend nowadays. There are many interesting cultures present here including Mennonite and Hutterite communities which are some of the most generous small town folk. We have tons of local farms which people can buy affordable organic food from. Manitobans on average are friendly people and strangers will often strike up a conversation or help get your car unstuck on a wintery day. I have travelled around Canada but I do feel like Manitoba carries a unique sense of community that other places might not have.
