I’m Canadian born but mums family is from Europe. \n\nIt’s seems like not a lot has changed since the 1960’s my grandfather had trouble finding a job for a while due to not having Canadian experience. \n\nIt took my friends 7years to become citizens here. As a born Canadian. They had to go back to school. Unless you are in the medical profession I don’t see why you have to go back to school. \n\nMost of our health care does come from taxes yes I can’t tell you how great it is that I don’t have to pay $80,000 per surgery. I have 17 over my life. In other places in the world that would make me homeless. \nBut the dental care has cost me a lot because of my condition. But even for me that is a fair trade off. (I rather drugs, dental would be covered) \n\nTaxes also include subsided things for the public, libraries, roads that fixed, reduced fares for public transportation, reduced health cost for low income families that’s not covered by the government. etc. Not all great but the health care coverage is great to not have to pay in full. I only pay $6000 in taxes at most a year. I have a low income. The more you make the more they will tax you because it helps get the services for everyone. That’s why you are taxed more if you make more.

You are WRONG with the language part America has no official languages and English is not it official language, but the two most spoken languages in the country are English and Spanish like if you buy product or stuff in America it will always have English and Spanish as the two languages for the country\n\nAnd sometime you will see french too, French is also kinda spoken but not every place

Still drives me crazy that foreign trained doctors are driving cabs while Canadian hospitals bemoan the lack of doctors. The Canadian Medical Association even sees fit to not allow in some cases, foreign doctors to write the competency examination.

Local Brampton Mayors and Ontario gov never tried to put/invite some universities, hospitals and white collar jobs in Brampton, due to that Brampton became mostly bedroom community and all mix people started leaving city by seeing huge influx of South Asian population. Most people in Brampton are either truck driver, construction worker or labourer working in warehouse, while North-West part of Brampton is mostly young IT people working in Downtown or Mississuaga. I personally don’t know a single person who works in Brampton. But, still every Indian wants to live in Brampton just because of food & brown community. Now Brampton will become more brown and brown every year, just because there is no reason for other community to come and live in Brampton, no white collar jobs, not many hospitals or colleges or universty which can bring mix crowd. Brampton will be 100% south asian in next 10 years as most 50%+ new immigrants to Canada are from South Asia and every year 450000 new immigrants comes to Canada!

As a Canadian it really pisses me off to see people constantly coming here thinking that it’s gonna be a free ride and don’t even attempt to better their lives , like why did u come here? We have enough to worry about as it is !! My family came to this country as refugees and never acted so entitled

If Indians went back collectively to India from US and left all leadership positions in American companies, you will have at least a 30% drop in your economic metrics. That will result in lower per capita income. So in a way, we are the reason you have a moderate income, no matter which industry/sector you work in. I know we have some people here in Canada , Ontario i have seen it all. We have our amount of unstable citizens. But i heard a person coming to me and saying the FBI was after him. I laughed because i know the Federal of Investigation can not come into Cnanada without the approval of the RCMP. And even then they have to work together. RCMP can kick the FBI out of our country at any given time if they see they are compying to our canadian laws. Just remeber RCMP is our FBI.

You’ve been in an English speaking country for awhile. So why do you need to communicate via Spanish? You should’ve learned the language by now. That’s the biggest thing, if you want to be a American or Canadian then learn the language. \n\nI’m Latin and my father n uncles hated going places in the US and another Latin would speak Spanish to them. Even though they could speak Spanish they said this is America speak English. \n\nNot all minorities like seeing people coming into the country illegally or by trying to use asylum when they have no claim. Like dude I was born in Canada and my parents are immigrints who came legally so I can tell you my side. A non biast side. Since I live and work here I can tell u most people of colour r welcoming, however most people who are here and have trouble finding work dont wanna see more people come and make it harder like texas and arizonia.
