Why some of the questions aren't just consider as that people are curious rather than racisit remark? Being a person of colour, I feel like even I would have preferrence that can be judged as racisit. I have a question what will you call a girl who prefers to date a guy who is tall, fair ,good build, Is it her preference or she is racisit? Black person can prefer a black person over colour or white person, will it be racisit or just a preference? Sometime I am genuinely confused..

I feel sorry for that guy who fell for all the racist propaganda that turned him into a raging Islamophobe, hook, line and sinker
.

I'm confused. I took the test it said i had a preference to black people vs Europeans, slight. I click the submit for more information and it said i had a slight preference for Europeans. smh -_- also the test almost feels like some type of attempt at suggestive information.

If the cultures that feel discriminated against would behave in a civilized manner then maybe they wouldn't get the rxn they do - stats always tell the true story. Ppl are afraid & extra cautious b/c what they see is a barrage of terrorism & destruction that is so synonymous w/ some cultures. Therefore I don't consider racism to be a huge problem in Canada. I see it more as a self-protective measure. Stop inciting a load of lies based on a few incidents.

Everyone always use hippies as easy punching bags to make themselves feel better about where they are in society but this video shows perfectly what they are about! 31:13

I used to feel angry, when ignored by shop assistants, for whitees ,but I studied things closely, and found that whites dress up .....properly most of the time ,when going to these stores, and shabby looking white people dont get treated, better than blacks......so it gets down to the selfish silliness of the employee....as to who will actually buy their wares, and ensure their pay. Whites generally have a better earning power,so the incentives are aimed at them.

If your white but you want to feel discrimination just go to quebec and speak english. You'll never be more discriminated against in your life.

I would never live in the USA, police in the USA kill thier citizens for minor crimes. I feel safe in Canada and the Police in Canada are fair.

So more importantly how can we improve our true inner race bias?. If we dont feel like we are racists how can we become less so?
|
| 2020-05-24 | 0 |
If that was me, I'll tell them to take anything I want to buy without me touching it, and made them feel like a slaves and play with it, lol.

But in general most Canadian are very good human beings . That’s why most of us feel safe and love the place and people here . Bag people are there in every country it’s something to live with .

This happened in the US but I was working at Panera and two really nice ladies wearing burkas came to order some food and the old white guy cashiering refuses to cash them out because of what they are wearing. \n\nThat's straight up discrimination, I hope they didn't know why he wouldn't served them because that's horrible and he should feel ashamed. That was the first time I witnessed discrimination and I couldn't believe someone would do that, but I see it's common everywhere, the grass isn't always greener on the other side. I hope all these blatant racists get what's coming to them

I went into a convenience store and the owners (Chinese) followed me around the store as I look for snacks and went to the back for drinks.. I was been shadowed! I told them that why she- because one followed me- was shadowing me? She gave me a smile.. sometimes I feel they pretend that dont understand a word of English, but actions speak louder than words. It was obvious, they thought i was gonna steal something... Now, tell me.. Does that make them racists too? I think so! I didnt buy anything.. but I gave them an earful for that. I have seen how they also keep an eye on Black people. Later, these same people say that THEY are the ones facing racism.

I just have to say this i feel like it so unrecognized, the prejudice that people you have never met and dont know are prejudiced that you as an individual are prejudiced.

Real racism is proven in the workplace around here, sadly especially if it’s a high paying job, they feel like you don’t deserve to be there or have that pay grade... envy & extreme haterism...no common sense to just let ppl be and provide for there families in peace lots of circumstantial mental anguish when in such a toxic work setting, then coupled with having enough mental energy left to do your job adequately...smh

2:06 just to let the Lexus driver know brown is the only colour. Black and white are shades not colours so how does it feel being colourless just your personality. Sounds the like the typical American but the shocking thing is that this is in Canada.

Yo Leland. I'm sorry man. I could feel how much love you have in your voice. You were so disappointed in us and pray that people see your blessings. Thank you to all Native, Metis and Inuit for your love patience with us.

Has anyone ever seen the movie Step Brothers? I feel like the relationship between Brennan & Dale is very similar to the relationship between USA and Canada. Just sayin...

If two people come in and ask about an apartment, it makes complete sense for the second guy to get a higher price, because the landlord is going to feel like he has multiple offers coming in. It doesn't prove that the landlord is biased, so much as that he's changing prices to increase his chances of an optimal offer. These kinds of effects are things that economists try to control for when they do these studies.

I think everyone has their own bias / opinion for any person. Regardless if they are the same race or different. People of the same race can dress differently and people will have different opinions. All we can do is to be our best not to behave in a rude or hurtful way. And I feel for the most part, in major multicultural areas, Canadians are doing their part. \nSome of the tests in the video seem a bit too high level. It's not really scientific. You can't make any definite conclusions from it.

Dear any and all Racists people: please note that there is nothing special about you that makes you feel important than others. We all entered this world the same way and we will All leave the same way. I feel sad and sorry for you

At least two more differences between the US and Canada (I'm a Montrealer myself with American-born parents):\n\n1) When going to the different parts of Canada, they feel that much more different from each other (in the buildings, highway signs, etc.) than the different parts of the US. For example, British Columbia feels like a foreign country compared to not just Quebec (the most obviously different province in Canada) but also compared to Nova Scotia or Manitoba, whereas Washington state or Minnesota is less different than Pennsylvania or Massachusetts.\n\n2) Native Americans (or First Nations, as they're called in Canada) make up a way higher proportion of the Canadian than American population, though less so percentage-wise in Montreal or Toronto or even Quebec City, and they are thus much more in the consciousness of the average Canadian than the average American.

Sorry Drew, you lived in the US, so there's going to be biases even if you don't mean it, as you have a more in-depth feel of living there hehe.

Great video, Drew... you were very objective, I believe, in your comparisons between the USA and Canada. Enjoy your Passover celebration, and Happy Easter to your Christian friends out there. If anyone is looking for an online Easter Sunday Worship online video, feel free to come to my church (Christian Life Church, Kissimmee FL) where I am blessed to serve as their pastor. The link for the Easter worship video is on YouTube at https://youtu.be/rg9n1KsyQLs Shalom, and may God continue to bless you and your followers! Pastor Dean

Well, Canadians are a minority in North America. California has more people than Canada. There are more Blacks in the USA than all Canadas population. So, being a minority will make you feel like your kind of special. Being American is not since there are 320 million Americans .

I love ur content and watch every video, but I’m kinda pissed about this video becauseI feel like you didn’t give the US the respect it deserves

I am seeing many drew binsky videos these days . ( lock down effects) . It is making me feel that I am getting connected to the whole world knowing about each country. It's actually great that the videos are unbiased. I felt bad when he told he escaped accident in India .but even after that , he visited our country , he could appreciate the diverse beauty of India.

I can definitely feel a big difference when driving from Detroit to Toronto, a hour drive. I think the difference is bigger than the difference I experienced when driving from Vienna to Budapest, two very different countries economically.

Something funny I noticed while in the US was when I talk to people the 2nd thing they ask me is my name. ALWAYS THE 2nd THING THEY ASK. WHY?? I can speak with everybody in Canada without knowing the name ever but Americans feel the need to know that.

I totally agree with you Lloyd Douglas and his column black in Canada. I find it to be swept under the carpet as far as racism is concerned, they smile in front of you but behind you they Stab you in the back .well the Americans is right up front I can work with you but I won’t socialize with you, at least you’re truthful.\n\n I find Canadians to be very two face , Hidden they true feeling and pretend a lot . I have experienced the first time in my life racism was within Canada and it brought me to tears. I live in America for so many years no one had ever call me the N word , I never felt so humiliated and lower my self-esteem. So when I was coming to this country they say it was multicultural but that don’t mean black. Even the so-called people they call them selves Brown consider black people as nothing but I am here to say we are something , we are the future , embrace us , celebrate us , and accept us.there are good people and bad people in every race. ?

Growth can come from discomfort\nIf you feel uncomfortable, explore why maybe you'll learn something new about yourself, others and the world especially if you have advantages that others might not have, this isn't just related to race

I’ve shockingly had the opposite, when I did cheerleading I was the palest girl on the entire team (and in the whole school). They liked to tease me about never being able to tan, that if I laid under sand with my ankles showing it’d blend in. I feel very bad for anyone and everyone that is discriminated wrongly against.

I can tell you that living in Brampton Ontario Canada, I feel safer around black people than I do around white people, even though I have lived in Edmonton Alberta for 9 years! But overall everybody is respectful. We humans cannot help being tribal. Look at all the different bird species...

Of course I am from Costa Rica n I have not felt that friendliness from Canadians here in Vancouver whatsoever. I feel them plain n boring n more serious than a potato. But something that really bothers me is that they look scared. They look so scared that I rather not talk to them.
