Another fast talking liberal so full of righteousness and haughtiness talking top down to people.\nDid they ask people of Canada if they agree? What is the evidence that Canada needs more people? Has there ever been an honest debate on the subject? If the premise that country of 38 milion people does not have enough people was true, countries like Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Singapore, Oman, Kuwait all with less than 10 milion people some less than 5 should have been basket cases. But comparing those countries and Canada when it comes to standard of living the latter looks like basket case. Terribly functioning health care, high unemployment, people living on the streets and now shortages of certain food items in stores. Not to mention the housing market where it is impossible for working people to buy a place because it was left to the speculators from abroad. To make it clear, I am not against immigration, but sanity has to return in place of ideological madness and vote buying.

Sure, just like Germany! Keep them coming, we take care of them!

Stop inviting more people until we get the ones that are here a home, health care, education and a job. Once we get that under control, people will have kids again and invite others again at a manageable number. Immigration is not essential.

Why not make the current (obviously vocally dissatisfied lol -read those comments!) people like you Instead of inviting people who’d merely be a guaranteed vote of the your party doing the door opening. \nOr how about training and inspiring good ethics in workmanship to the trades people I’ve come to live with, no one cares to make quality these days, everyone is just bare minimums and using it to make a buck, i weld for a living, and actually care about the work that I produce. And I believe get compensated quite well however… how is it that for someone -at the top of their field in your so desired “skilled” trades- position, can’t afford anything but your cheaply made “affordable” housing that (for someone like me) have a requirement for some garage space, not just s cookie cutter condo with a driveway… you’re taking all the possible space from current homeowners whom have desirable properties from the up and comers in the market. \n\n( Economic growth is just political pocket lining)

How can the government support 500,000 immigrants a year when statistics show immigrants haven't been able to reach a decent level of economic integration since 2003? This is especially concerning if the government wants to bring people to cover dead-end jobs with minimum wage, part-time schedules, no rights and no benefits, or programmes like the live-in care giver or seasonal workers that put vulnerable people in legal slavery. On top of that, the current population that lives under the poverty line, and those who are entering that socio-economic level as a result of housing bidding wars and inflation, think it would be more effective to create policy to eliminate poverty rather than bringing in more people to join it, which at the end, only benefit corporations.

No the Liberals are pushing for 500,000 , Real Canadians want jobs and their tax dollars to take care of their own in this absolute train wreck of an economy the Liberals caused

So I think Canada is ranked 3rd best in the world to live in (I might be wrong but it's top 5 for sure). Your speaking about nothing to do in Canada, Health care concerns, high taxes or cost of living and other things (honestly your video was just hurting my head listing to). While Canada does have issues (like any other country in the world) What you outline highlights the privileged life you are living. You are correct in pointing out that the health care system is flawed, it is not perfect by all means but AT LEAST YOU ARE GETTING HEALTH CARE. Take the stats for example (I had the privilege of going to the hospital in Texas) My bill came to 3000 for a twisted ankle. They charged me over 500 dollars just for walking into the hospital. I'm not knocking that stats, but if you do not have money, you're fucked for health care. Instead of waiting 8 hours to see a doctor, you're now on Web MD trying to diagnose yourself. You are bitching about high taxes, how do you think Schools, Police and fire services, Emergency service hospitals etc etc etc get paid? through wishes and hope? You are again welcome to go anywhere else and enjoy whatever bs they have going they might have low taxes in other parts of the world but your going to have to pay for certain services you are taking for granted here. As Cost of living, if you live in Toronto or BC yes the cost of living is high, but at the same time, the average household income is high as well. I'm sorry minimum wage in most of Canada is roughly 15 dollars an hour, and the average incoming for most provinces is over 100k. I'm not sure what else to say on that subject :D As for things to do, seriously, stop living under a rock. Please go and travel Canada, to name a few things you can travel to Niagara, Go to Banff, Visit hot springs or enjoy any of our national parks. Not to mention all the multicultural festivals that take place. I guess what I'm trying to say here is, Canada is flawed and has its issues. However, It's a beautiful country and is a gem of a place to put roots down. I'm sorry you guys didn't feel that way.

I am planning to leave Canada in 4 years. I don't feel respected by the country. We are overpaying for health care like you mentioned. A lot of laws and rules are non-sense. Whe you're in a different country, the responsibility is yours to know or find out what the laws of the land are. You cannot expect a whole nation of others to suddenly become educated about your religious practices and make way for you . If they do, that great, but it's not their responsibility. Also, having a weapon on you in an environment where others don't will put them at unease and also give you the advantage over them, in case of an altercation. How do they know if you are mentally sane or not and that you will not suddenly use it on them. Most Sikhs are wonderful and very caring people and I'm even sitting with one as I write this, but it's best we keep our religious practices to ourselves and not be in anyone's face with it, especially in a country where people are not so aware of other cultures. If he had to wear it for religious purposes, its his responsibility to have informed the university( which he may have) , but also to insist that they inform everyone else and the police of it, so as to not raise any tensions.

government health care does not mean you get the best health care it means you get the minimum average health care! You do not get the drugs you want you get the drugs everyone quality's for the average!

Yup I'm Canadian and used to be proud. But Canada has gone to shit in the last 20 years. I will eventually be moving my family out of Canada. You cannot retire here. True, lived there for 4 years. Canada is a well made lie to make someone else rich. I even met a rich immigrant who basically became rich because I'm sure he was doing money laundry. Also, Canadian politeness is a fake way to uncover how they actually don't care about another person; they are not nice people . Being there also made me think about this whole immigration system, it felt like a neo-slave trade, because immigration is such a gray area, and we basically have no rights to anything whatsoever, being open to be easily exploited. Not to mention psychological problems, like the Ulyssses Syndrome, that nobody talks about.

Really? I just read an article recently that Canada's population growth rate is the highest in more than 30 years. There are also several published articles which showed that across various metrics for healthcare, the U.S. was the most expensive, but ranked the worst in terms of outcomes when compared with other industrialized countries with universal healthcare (including Canada). I live in the U.S., and I can tell you delays (and we're talking months) in being able to see specialists or your primary care physician is very common. Google the name Wendell Potter, and see what you find.

If you want to save your wealth, you should have a TFSA. The reason why Canada's cost of living is high is that the interest rates are too low. It built an unreal housing market. It is no different in the U.S. I find it concerning those immigrants in Canada who complain about healthcare, all I can say is, if you take care of yourself and plan carefully for your own healthcare, it will work. If you want to see waste, incompetence, and extreme costs, you need to visit the U.S. as a resident for a while. Sounds like you ladies should leave.

100% I was born here and lived in the US growing up. And its alot to give up for a better healthcare system. The healthcare system is honestly so good by comparison that I'd say this keeps Canadians here. But it is not far or equitable in any way. And with the pandemic it has accelerated this inflation people have felt... but are now fully aware of that impact our lives in meaningful ways every 5 years. We are now like ten years or more in the future on what that impact looks like.\n\nI don't want to work because there is no point. I am working but I don't care like I used to. I don't care about advancement anymore. I don't care about what it might mean for my future in the workforce when there is always a reason to ensure thst my money goes nowhere for me.\n\nThis winter is going to be very hard.

In Québec we can get private health care easily

I wish more people thought like you and moved out! This is a developed country if you invest properly and work hard it's the best place to live in the world! If you are a lazy welfare QUEEN than yes, you will find it very difficult.
