Things that made me worried are:\n- Health care\n- Taxes\n- Employment scope\n- Snow and bad environment\n\nStrange things like:\n-They call the immigrants and they don't recognize their degrees and they want them to spend money in Canada so that Govt earns out of them. It's kind of deadlock situation...when applying for PR they ask whether I have a Job offer in Canada....again when applying for jobs in Canada they prefer those candidates who have a COPR.....then how would someone get the JOB Offer points when he/she is applying for PR...??

Sir I am also a Govt. Servant, not mentally satisfied with the system, salary is not an issue but no mental satisfaction (sakoon in life), feels like a paid prisoner. I have 10 year service in Agri. Department Punjab and have an Agricultural Degree. I cannot move immediately to Canada but I have a big desire and am planning to do so after completing 25 years of service and retirement. I have relatives there who moved to Canada in the 60's, 70's, and as late as the 2000's from the Philippines. I was fortunate enough to immigrate to the US in the 80's through sponsorship by relatives who immigrated to the US in the 60's. For all of us all of our reasons were the same - to escape poverty. We were all educated back in our native country the Philippines but we were still poor. When the opportunity opened for us to live in the US and Canada we grabbed it. We didn't care about starting from the bottom which we all did or paying high taxes, or loneliness. What mattered to us is that here we had to opportunity to build a better life for us and our family. All of us have done well because of the free education offered in both countries.
