Project 2025 will go into effect! Hope everyone enjoys it because you voted for him. He's not going solve our problems. He's simply going use his power to go after his enemies and anyone against him.

This will have a big effect on our food supply. Restaurants in big cities will definitely go out of business.

I think a side effect of mass deportation is the over implementation of A I and machinery to replace that labor.
2024-11-09 0
Side effects no.1. .... For Indians and indian students as well , Canada was favourite option. It was one common wealth nation, which was freely accepting students from india. But the usual indian trait of ' misusing ' facilities and the indian foreign policies resulted in students losing out

I mean you people wanting this problem to continue realize this only benefits the wealthy businesses so they can expand and negatively effects the middle and low income communities that will be fighting for housing, jobs and health care

Oh yeah, the effective and well working Trump policies ... he already had 4 years, fixed nothing on the border ... you stupid people just tend to forget that.

Remain in Mexico applies to arriving aliens applying for asylum, not asylum seekers who have already been admitted. The latter contravenes federal immigration law, and that's something that a President can't do via executive order. As well, if we deport asylum seekers to a different country, or make asylum seekers wait in another country as their asylum cases are adjudicated, the US government is STILL responsible for providing essential resources and ensuring their safety (this includes providing migrant centers) and the US cannot impede on their right to counsel - and by virtue of making them stay in another country that doesn't HAVE US immigration attorneys, this DOES impede their access to legal council, which is an immediate infringement on civil rights and a key reason why Remain in Mexico was challenged up to the Supreme Court and was kept from fully going into effect.

This is gonna have a trickle down effect on everything from house construction to food production. A lot of these businesses voted for him and he’s about deport their workforce or make you pay a fine

who will clean the toilets and change the rooms in the high priced hotel rooms for 5$ hour. americans would have to live homeless on the streets on those wages and we know how republicans hate that. this will have a devastating effect on large business and food distribution chains. they were hiring illegals because they could ignore the laws regarding employees rights in working conditions and overtime. not just underpaying them but having them work under illegal conditions some using the field as their bathrooms. this will end badly and they will blame the other party for the fall out as usual. part of the minimum wage increase act was due to the fact the wages didn't match the cost of living. people couldn't afford to pay rent so they live in their car or on the streets and steal if necessary to make ends meet. these were americans doing this not illigals. people in the red states that voted for this will be the first to get burned as usual. it was the democratic party that offered the safety net for those red states.

I’m honestly wondering, who will fill the vacant jobs left after immigrants are gone? Hard not to think this will have a domino effect.
2024-11-08 0
It would be really United if CNN stop spreading disunity and hatred. We are all in this together Noone is immune to the effect of the spread of hatred. \n\nMaybe is because you feel that it only effects others and that's why the hate rhetorical. May God have mercy on us all if this continues.

This idiot somehow thinks 47 will have larger margins in either the Senate or the House than he had in 2017: when he was completely unable to do any of those things. Also, he had actually competent people in both the House and Senate to help out (and also hinder him- when he he was being excessively stupid)- but those guys are gone. Having only loyalists left, he will suffer the effects of this loss. Title 42 restrictions required COVID: but no doubt a compliant SCOTUS will let the Great Pumpkin adopt them again- so maybe those will happen again. At least for a while.

Economist predict, deporting immigrants will really effect the economy BADLY!
2024-11-08 0
I'm very skeptical of the steps that our Government will take. I will only change my opinion when I have evidence of effective action. Remember that this government touted a budget with a $40 Billion deficit as being a fiscally responsible one. Further, we've watched our public service grow by 40% while nothing but nothing is actually working better. The ability to effectively manage anything is sorely lacking. Stay tuned for the fall-out on this one...

These so called immigrants have NO idea how their decision will effect OTHER Latinos in America. They don’t see the bigger picture. \nAnd Trump in the White House will hit the finances. Just wait and see. Their taxes will go up. Gas will go up. Want to come which will NOT e good for ALL Americans. Time will tell people. Remember history DOES repeat itself.
2024-11-08 0
Cant wait for the chaos and sadness for those that picked Trump. People will be directly and indirectly effected.
2024-11-07 0
You do realize it’s not just Latinos that would be getting deported. Mass deportation also includes Africans, Haitians, Arabs, Egyptians, etc. Do you think an ICE officer will cares enough to differentiate between a Black American born in the US and say a Black Honduran ?? What about families who are mixed race and one parent is US born while the other isn’t? Then what? I’m immensely disappointed by Latinos voting for this man, but mass deportation isn’t “cut and dry” where it’s only going to effect one group. It’s going to impact TONSSS of people across the board.

Everyone conveniently sidesteps the fact they pay billions intotaxes of several types not to mention social security the fed govt gets to keep THIS IS GOING TO HAVE A HUGE EFFECT ON ECONOMY
2024-11-07 0
If you simply ignore the politicians and all the bs … yep, you guessed it , pretty much 0 effect on your life . (Over half of america figured this out long ago btw) good luck folks you need it
2024-11-07 0
I really hope he keeps all his promises so we can see the effect of it. No more warnings

This is a big issue among the Latino community. Some are willing to turn their back on family, community, and their ethnicity to “feel” part of whiteness and exclusivity. It’s sad. The saddest part? They are still “the other” among the circles they so desperately seek to be a part of. Instead of backing bigoted, narcissistic and downright ignorant candidates… they should dedicate their time to immigration reform if they are so TRULY concerned about effective policies. What a joke. Take it from someone whose family was in Texas when the border moved below our towns… who’s great great great uncle was a Texas ranger, who’s father fought in the Vietnam war… you will always be the “other”. Take a lesson from Nicky Jam.

Everything is politics. When they allowed so many Indians to migrate because Indians were paying college fees of 40000 $, plus working 40hrs weekly at cheap rate till that point non of Canadians were having issues. Modern day slavery you guys wanted? Your govt did not take any action, they could have reduced this long time back but no one did that as it will effect there vote. Now when country is into ruins they are blaming migration, housing, inflation, Covid, foreign interference etc. Actually it is government which has done and responsible for all this so before blaming any community or country people should blame there government whom they voted.

I don’t suppose it’s occurred to her that once that policy went into effect, she might get swept up in It as well. ? selfish b*tch. They deported US citizens the last time too because it was so badly thought out. Even if she wasn’t rounded up by the brown shirts, the blood lust of her fellow magats could target her and assume she is here illegally. \n\nI also have my doubts on her story unless like me, she came in on a fiancée visa. Because she certainly didn’t come in on an Einstein visa. That’s for sure.

Good. Canadians needs a comeback from the effects of rampant immigration.
2024-10-27 0
It's a mute anyway. A recent study found that it would cost billions to effect trumps deportation plan. Currently American hope 40000 detainees and each deportation costs a ridiculous amount of money for the logistics alone.....it won't happen. All done of this before the impact of losing cheap labour, on businesses and the economy

The damage is already done, and if you live in Vancouver you know what I mean. Before it was just restricted to neighborhoods. Now entire cities/municipalities are overrrun with ethnic minorities becoming enclaves, where you don't even feel like you're in Canada anymore. In particular, the amount of Chinese and Punjabi's the Trudeau government has let in is astounding. Nobody speaks English anymore. Its insane! They've completely taken over. This has effected housing costs and availability. There is now a job shortage, a health care crisis and vehicle traffic that doesn't let up until after 8pm. Only thing left to do at this point is cancel all study and work permits and if you don't have your PR card, then you leave!

The manufacturing and high-tech jobs that Canada once prided itself on are no longer flourishing here. Instead, many Canadian millionaires and billionaires have moved significant projects overseas to countries like China and India, where labor is cheaper. My cousin, for example, manages software engineers in India who produce software for a Canadian company he works for—because the company's millionaire owner recognizes that outsourcing is far more cost-effective than employing Canadians. Similarly, a friend in Calgary mentioned that even the construction of the Peace Bridge involved components manufactured in South Korea, with only the assembly done locally. It became a political statement, but it highlighted how even critical infrastructure projects are outsourced for cost savings.\n\nSo, who is truly to blame? Politicians and business leaders, most of whom are born and raised in Canada, are at the heart of this issue. Immigrants face the same struggles as many underprivileged Canadians. For instance, a Tim Hortons owner on Southland Drive SE shared with me that he struggled to hire local workers—many would not show up or quit without notice. Eventually, he sponsored six workers from the Philippines, providing them housing nearby, and his operations became smoother without the frequent staffing issues. Another employer mentioned that when hiring local workers, he often hires two people for a one-person job because he knows that one might not show up. These stories underscore the reality that the challenges with the labor market are deeper than just immigration—they reflect structural issues within the economy and decisions made by those at the top.

The interviewer should have framed his question regarding terrorists coming into Canada and how it effects Canadians.. Instead he had to specify the Jewish community. I'm tierd of Canada being split into communities... We need to all be represented under one community and stop all this divisive grouping. If we are going to be a multicultural society that lives in harmony.. We need to get back to being Canadian first. Your ethnic religious and or race identity should not enter into politics as it relates to being Canadian! Our laws and rights are to be provided to everyone without prejudice.

This is not a thing. At best this is a mad minority in a minority in a minority, whereas you go to Tottenham and you'll find another group literally have their own police dressed in police gear and in patrol cars, but we don't want to mention that. \n\nIt's the constant look over here, the thing we want you to look at and get offended by despite the fact that it effects no one, but don't look at that because to point out that truth is now antisemitic! More valid now then ever.

1.) the bureaucratic red tape to get into the country “legally” is so much more than it was 30-40 years ago (not to mention the Mexican government being even more corrupt). If it was so easy to get in “legally” (just waiting days in line), don’t you think people would just do it?\n2.) if you’re deported, if often comes with a ban on returning (or even applying to return) of 15-20 (even longer?) years. Any family members of hers that are deported would, effectively, never be allowed back again.

She sounds racist, she's not wrong, though. Many Canadians, Australians, and Europians complain about overcrowding of Indians. Indians behaviour and rapid growth make it harder for their own citizens, and it effects to other migrated people as well. Because other immigrants get judged based on the acts of Indian people ?

I think she have been watching too much of poltical propoganda media of their or other western countries which is mainly based on migration and how it is effective them financial and what not .

Within India, there is immigration from north to South. And, you don't need any passport or Visa to immigrate within the states of India. Bangalore, an important city in South India s Karnataka State is brimming with people from the North. The Kannadigas become the minority in their own state. The population of Tamils in the state of Tamilnadu is shrinking. In another 50 years north Indians will dominate South India. So, all over the world , the adverse side effects of immigration are felt. People from overpopulated regions have been migrating to less populated are for resources, from Europe to America, and now Asia to Europe and north America. There was, is, and will be murmurs, hiccups and clashes leading to violence. Animals resist their own species, crossing their borders, so are men. This is the bitter truth, take it with a pinch of salt.
2024-10-15 0
Ummmm ... if you draw a line across Canada, from the West Coast continuing the line across, you capture 70 % of the population. Half way down to the USA border captures 50%. So. The Canadian population clings ..clings .. to the USA. NO,-ONE lives effectively anywhere else, especially in the whole middle AND North of Canada. Canada is more sparcely populated and more centralised than Australia. And whatever Canada us, it is wet, it is cold. It is grey. Oh .. and cold. Very cold. (And grey.)

The Liberal government is out of control. Have any of their plans ever worked out well? It's been covered up scandal after covered up scandal? When you have DEI hirings and them implement policies your not getting the best work done. Trudeau himself has no leadership experience nor has he learned anything since being in office. Trudeau has destroyed our country and he needs to go now. Unfortunately he is holding on to his power by pressuring the Block and the NDP to join forces with him effectively blocking any possibility of a change. We need change asap. Canadians,, even immiigrants are leaving the country, businesses are leaving. We need a leader who will actually tackle the obvious problems we see everyday on the streets in Canada. Our priority is not dental care for seniors, $10 day care and a food program for schools. We are not a socialist country.

I'm an international student. I believe this dilemma could have been prevented by having an online interview with each temporary resident applicant, especially students and their spouses, before making an entry decision. I'm not criticizing what the immigration department has been doing, but proposing an effective way that only the right people are coming into the country. This could massively reduce the number of immigrants coming in. However, I believe it is unfair that students and their spouses are left hopeless after spending tons of money on Canadian education.
2024-09-23 0
Of late, JT ( Liberal party) has become the whipping boy of Canada for all wrong reasons especially for the intake of a large number of international students and no one seems to be blaming the Conservative party that actually removed  the cap in 2014.  In 2014, in line with the International Education Strategy published by the  Government of Canada, the ruling dispensation decided to raise the number of international students from around 240,000 to over 450,000 by the year 2022. \n\nAccordingly in 2014, the then ruling dispensation (Conservative party) enhanced the number of international students visas to 327 thousand from the previous cap of 240 thousand.  In 2015, the figure went upto 352 thousand, representing almost a 47% increase  by CPC during their last 2 years in office .  As of 2023, there are over 1.5 million students holding study permits in Canada. \n\nIt is a known fact and no Canadian can sweep it under the carpet that the economic impact from the contribution by international students was felt across the entire country. From a mere $ 9 billion in 2014 it went to $12.8 billion in 2015 and it further enhanced to 15.5 billion in 2016. \n\nBy 2022, the Canadian government reported that the annual economic contribution of international students had increased to $22.3 billion, greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. \n\nNow it is for the Canadians  to decide  as to who should be blamed  for  if Canadians feel that their country has become like a third world country- the international students who had contributed more than $22.3 billion to the exchequer of the govt  in the last 10 years or both the mainstream political parties namely Liberal Party and Conservative  Party  that failed the Canadians by opening up the flood gate to international students with  their eyes set only on the economic contribution  by international students  without  realising the after effect of huge unchecked  immigration of students. A myopic approach by the successive governments has brought in all sorts of chaos,  unrest, unemployment, shortage of houses, increase in cost of living etc..etc....to the Canadians. I can only sympathise with Canadins who are facing undue hardship and mental agony because of the wrongdoings of successive governments while worrying about the future of my ward who is pursuing  three years study program there.
