The Canadian visa system has been scammed by unscrupulous travel agents from Punjab and Gujarat. Its a mystery as to how illiterate villagers join Canadian colleges and get PR. The failed immigration system is answerable to the voters and taxpayers. Stop this scam. Deport the students who have done their course. PR is not a natural process after college.

Cut all government funding to universities and give the money directly to Canadian citizens who attend university. That way the international and local students can be on the same footing with no question that Canadian taxpayers are subsidizing foreign students while their own children cannot get admission. (The influx of foreign students is driving competitive admission grades to absurd levels, leaving Canadian students with relatively good marks, marks that were considered outstanding 30 years ago, unable to get into universities in their communities.)\n\nThe reality we have here is that Canadian taxpayers still shoulder the majority of education costs in Canada, but those same taxpayers' children are being denied education opportunities in their own communities because of foreign students. Canadian government has to adopt Australian model for immigration and student visa. I lived in Australia and in 2009 indian students protested against Australian immigration policy , Within 6 months of crackdown 1200 low quality colleges were shut down by government and thousands of international students including me were Struggling and left Australia but that was i think good for Australia. Same needed to be done by Canada. 70% of students come to earn money and do 2-3 jobs and Canadians are struggling while employers getting cheaper labor and making money..

Make it mandatory for every immigrant who wants to work or study in Canada to pass Canadian exams in english and french before ever coming here and agree to bring family or extended family here ..also international students after there school is done leave the country and are also not to work while here

This is ridiculous. The majority of the homeless are homeless because they don't want to work the jobs. As a greenhouse manager, the local people don't want to work the jobs that the foreign workers work which is why we are required to bring them in in the first place. I have had many local workers try working in the greenhouse only to quit within weeks because they couldn't handle the work or even the heat that is required. So how are we supposed to depend on local people to do the work? The would be a worker turnover every 3 - 6 weeks. With this program we can bring in people who WANT to do the work because its a better opportunity for them than what they have back home. This is NOT the way to fix the homeless problem. High rent, high taxes and high economic standards are the cause of eat. People cant AFFORD to buy food, pay for living costs and even survive in todays society. This foreign worker programs ALLOWS us to get the work done. \n\nForeign workers brought in on the SAWP program or even low skill program aren't stealing job, they are doing the work that Canadians don't WANT to do as they can't handle it or even believe it's beneath them. Todays youth will never do the work that these people do for us. I respect the work that they do. I would love ANYBODY in the comments below to come to my farm in the middle of summer and spend 8 - 10 hours under the sun for a week and then see what their opinion is.

I worked in a retail store with where Indians shopped regularly. They were the very rude to the sales helps. They talked down to us and they were the worst thieves the store has ever seen. Our regular customers started going else ware because of this problem. I'm afraid Canada is no longer a great, desirable country because we have aloud it to be taken over by the east indians. It is the governments fault but is is also the fault of the indians because they have not adapted to the Canadian way of life. They want us to adapt to their way of life. When i was a kid Indians who ran the store down the street rented from us and us kids hung out also in elementary school one of my best friends was Indian, Indians fought with the allies in WW1 Now I work with some great Indian guys who always hold their own and don't slack off. Generalizing and racism is bad because it targets all as the problem. Canadian politicians have done bad policy and i think Indian politicians have done the same but again there are other factors in the wider world to blame not just those political groups.

Canada should have done this a long time go. Finish your college then go home Indians. Give real Canadians their jobs back! There are just too many of you and Canada owes you nothing!

I'm thinking that the next government which I hope will be led by Pierre Poilièvre, will seriously opt for a solution like opening a Canadian school in India and in other countries so that people don't have to come here to study in a Canadian school/college/university. That way, they could study in their country without having to move and face difficulty in living abroad which for them should be only allowed for a certain number of years and then that they have to return to their country of origin. Once back in their country of origin should they want to immigrate here, well there is an official process for immigration that needs to be done. No skipping steps and that has to be done from outside of Canada.

I work at a downtown teaching hospital in Toronto. All of our student doctors are from mainly the Middle East just doing their rotations in Canada. They tell me once they are done they are leaving Canada. No spots for Canadian student doctors. Foreign students pay higher tuitions so the universities make more $$$ but Canadians suffer.

As a result, housing market prices goes up in and around these land development projects that the local population are unable to keep up to afford. And it's the fault of both the federal and provincial governments in just letting these wealthy investors gain a monopoly on Canadian soil and artificially driving up housing market prices.\n\nThe influx of international student visas have only exacerbated this housing crisis because land development investors are now using their new establishments as international student housing for profit while pricing out or simply not catering to the need for housing for the local population.

As a Canadian, I agree with this move - especially if they have problems following Canada’s safety policies and are always doing a crime here. Trudeau is now under pressure because statistics have shown how much crime like car theft and robbery are done by this certain group of people, and Canadians are truly fed up!
