You remind me of my beautiful daughter, who loves Toronto but will no longer live there. She got a nice apartment in Hamilton and works online for a company based in Toronto. I love Toronto too, but give me $5 million and maybe I will consider moving there. For now, I am happy to live in Osaka, Japan.

I'm from Mexico and I've applied to Canadian PR, but I'm seriously considering other options like Europe or Asia. I was considering Canada for to the security and better healthcare (even if I had to live paycheck to paycheck), but from the comments I'm honestly discouraged.\n\nHere in Mexico wages in IT have remained stagnant yet rent and food prices keep growing up each year. Even with over +6 years of experience I can barely afford a room in a shared apartment and just enough for food, let alone travel or save for retirement. Crime and corruption is rampant, even the safe cities have become very insecure, and gentrification is pushing way too many people into poverty.

The Canadians don't even know that Punjabi ,Hindu and Sikh are all from India. Why would to they say Indians and then seperate it. But I guess White people can tell them apart anyway.

NO!\n\n4- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a solid, safe and clean social structure where they can live freely without any risk to themselves and their families, where they feel completely safe and without any fear, anxiety and concern in terms of attack and crime?....... NO!\n\n5- Did the Canadian government provide the newly arrived immigrants with a democratic state and a fair social society structure where there is no racism, discrimination, inequality of opportunity, favoritism, incompetence and harassment, whether covert or overt?........ NO!\n\n6- Did the Canadian government grant any right to vote or be elected to immigrants who came to the country legally during their stay in Canada until they became citizens, did they give them the right to vote for the party or people who would govern them, did they give them the right to vote at least in local elections other than general elections? ....... NO!\n\n-So, do you think that the Canadian government, which does not fulfill any of these, is a country ready to accept immigrants? ....... OF COURSE NO!\n\nTHEN, the Canadian State and its government do not have the right to say a single word about immigrants, and the Canadian State should now prepare the trillions of dollars that the immigrants themselves will pay as a result of the compensation lawsuits they will file against all these human rights violations that the state has implemented against immigrants for years, in a planned and systematic manner, unfairly and mercilessly. The Canadian government has deliberately left the immigrants it has accepted into the country, whether they are illegal or legal, hungry, helpless, unemployed and poor, has implemented all kinds of racism, discrimination and harassment against immigrants, has torn families apart, has never allowed them to feel safe in Canada, has not taken any timely, appropriate, necessary and primary duty measures to ensure this, and has done all these within the scope of its fully conscious and previously established anti-immigrant policies and the plans and programs to which those policies belong, because otherwise it could not use and exploit immigrants to their core, in this sense, it is the Canadian State itself that is carrying out human smuggling and immigrant trafficking.

As a South Africa working in Germany on a skilled worker visa, it was not the easiest to get the visa even with a job offer and working remotely for the company for more than two years. \n\nI agree with the three points to improve.\n\nBut Germany is expensive, even if you get a cheap apartment and live on bread and one eat meat twice a week, it’s expensive, you keep on paying taxes or fines for things you don’t even know and or use.\n\nThe dream of living in a safe EU country is also becoming something of the past with increased violent crimes and the far right movement. \n\nMy plan was to save more money and buy a property in Germany, but on arrival I had to use my savings to pay for the massive deposit on an apartment and an over priced apartment at that. But housing is limited so you must take what you can get. \n\nThe “free” healthcare is pathetic in comparison to what I paid for private healthcare in South Africa, and I pay more for the healthcare in Germany than I did back home and you have less benefits.\n\nThe only reason I am here is as my home country doesn’t have employment for someone like me, and that makes me somewhat sad. But hence why I need to appreciate how privileged I am to be living in Germany.

Developed countries of west are facing problems like low marriage rate , high divorce , low fertility rate , depression, loneliness leading to number of pet dogs equaling number of humans because they can’t tolerate living with spouse or other human beings … developed countries create 5 times more carbon emission per citizen and create twice of thrice the amount of waste compared to developing counties like India.. India grows its good 80% while Canada gets most food imported from USA Mexico and South America, buying lost of diesel for transport of these food. India won’t be able to have any land left if everyone become rich and builds biggest individual houses instead of affordable small apartments that are multi story building using less land.

I was born in ?? and at your age Alina I left Vancouver and moved to Europe. I too saw no future and no way of having quality of life there. In the past 20 years I have watched ?? just fall apart and get worse and worse and it breaks my ❤️. One has to choose where life will be best for you and then give it your all. For me, by far, it was the best choice I ever made because the life I have now would never have been achievable, especially in Vancouver. People will tell you and you can tell yourself that you can just move back and visit all the time but in reality, that does not happen and you need to accept all the loss that leaving will bring. You will loose friend family and opportunity, people will pass friends will forget you and you them and Canada will become a memory in time. My Brother moved to Germany more than 50 years ago ago got a PhD from university of Gottingen got married kids are 1/2 German very well placed in high paying jobs but he still lives in rented large apartment as he finds it cheaper the to buy his own place !

Again I would blame Trudeau. He shouldn’t have raised immigration levels in the first place. Now he has let down people who have hoped to start anew. It shouldn’t be focused on just Indians though. It should be across the board. As most other Canadians I have talked to and what I have seen being Canadian, the immigration levels are too high and it is not improving things for this country.
