It's a common mantra for Canadian citizens and politicians to 'tax the rich' by closing loopholes and more recently reducing capital gains exemptions within corporations. As popular as that may be, it stifles innovation and corporate development within our country, especially while our neighbor to the south has a more business friendly tax system. Good luck boosting GDP when corporations and innovative entrepreneurs are lured southward. Even our hockey players move south.

I don’t understand how having a house be 10 times as valuable suddenly makes you rich if you sell that house you have to buy another one to live in it. You always need to live somewhere. It’s just make-believe money that stops new players from getting into the market.

Countries should spend more on giving all it's young a chance to get a education in their own country not just the rich or government workers.Yes I would like to see a youth work exchange program so we get use to each other and trade fairly. I leave in Canada since 1992 and it was very difficult to became lendent immigrant and life was very affordable interesting the first house we bought lake front for 48 thousand and townhouse for 58 thousand in Brandford and it was affordable to pay mortgage even i became a widow but now gasoline so expancive rased 3 times so and grosseries prices increased the same .Why we have to pay carbontax ,landtaxes wich became 2500 compaire 350 in 2000? Address the real problem and how tosrart working on it, The problem is over the last 40 years there has been a radical redistribution of wealth from the bottom and the middle to the top and the more. This is partly because we changed the tax laws. We relieved taxes from corporations and the rich and we switched them onto the middle and bottom. It was done by Republicans and by democrats And real wages have been flat for years while inflation is rocketing.. And so we have a declining economy and declining country. So we need to face this real problem and start demanding our representatives reverse the way this country taxes.
