100%. We live in Windsor, our university and college are all international students from India. Now, my wife and I have to pay a lot more money for our kids to go to college and university outside of our city. That is absolute bullshit, and needs to be fixed. Spread these international students across the whole province. Send them up to northern Ontario , Thunderbay post secondary schools are really short for students.

100% bang on.. I've lived in Dubai (traveled to many other countries).. this is nowhere near being considered as developed anymore (GDP criteria is outdated)..Canada got developed and they forgot to update and even upgrade..!! The drug situation is so bad that I really hope that you didn't come across crackheads/homeless who are under the influence of drugs at all times.. No doubt there are way more homeless people in India, but they are working or at least trying in some way to make their life better and they never hurt you at least, here, it's the opposite, as they literally can do anything.. you can find them roaming all over on the streets of Old Toronto, Vancouver, Ottawa.. You can literally find them everywhere.. someone commented earlier that you should give 2 years.. Bro or sis.. it's a complete waste as I am at the same point.. and on top of it when you invested 2 years, it even becomes tougher as it becomes even harder to go back as you have spent so much on furniture, house, car, tools, n all and most importantly - 2 YEARS of life. I left my pregnant wife and have been staying away from her and a 1-and-a-half-year-old baby boy hoping that we'll create a better future and can afford to struggle right now.. its been 2+ years.. Honestly.. I am still not able to figure out whether there is any future or I have spoiled my present looking for a future.. its a dilemma beyond explanation in words, with no relatives or anyone based here.. I've a lot at stake currently and that's the only reason I am stuck otherwise leaving this place seems to be inevitable.. \n\nI travel extensively all throughout and forget about expressways anywhere in Canada (Except 407 which has an insane toll rate) it's a 4-lane highway just 80 km from Toronto to the rest of 450+ kms to Montreal which are 2 major cities of this so-called developed country.. same is for Ottawa, the same hold true from Calgary to Edmonton, and any other major town/city!! on top of it, they are struggling to even maintain those (always under construction - even construction is a wrong word to use as they aren't adding anything new.... it is just being repaired in true words) Same is true with adding new infra in terms of hospitals or any other facility... Banking sucks.. Still dealing through the mail (Postal mail).. (Mails not e-mails). I simply can't get that.. the tax agency - CRA sends communications through the mail, and the same with any other agency.. Comon.. grow up is what I feel at times..!! People are literally not willing to work (Except hard-working immigrants), Govt. doesn't have any plans for the future regarding the economy and development... just bringing in immigrants.. that's it..\n\nYou've made a very smart decision and really at a very good time.. wish you, and your family all the best..!!

Have visited many countries for on-site business work, including Canada but India is good despite all the chaos, espcially South India. Started my career in infosys Chandigarh, then Gurgaon then Bangalore. My parents also might move in with me next year and Im also planning to start my own Food eatery. Over 95% Sikhs are just like me and patriotic and Love India, but yes there are issues in Punjab which need to be addressed...\nBut a large portion of the blame sadly goes to Sikh politicians. I want to tell the youth that Khalistan is a waste of time and politicians in Punjab, especially sikh politicians are completely bullshit. They are corrupt and have no vision and rely on rural votes which is sikh majority and Jazbaati over every issue and largely into farming. The Punjabi Hindus, baniyas, aggarwals and Jains own the urban economy and are comparatively more practical and forward looking in life. Many of these sikh politicians sadly themselves are involved in drug, own illegal abortion centres and labs, and even coaching centres to send students to canada on fake letters in exchange for a lot of money...\nI want to tell the youth, There is a lot of good opportunity in India. I know Punjab doesnt have much as of now (hope someday one of us can take our experience and setup a startup hub there), but other cities like Pune, Hyd, Bangalore, Mum, Chennai etc are good and once you have a stable job, its quite satisfying. Punjabis especially Sikhs are also loved everywhere by common people. Please dont spend your money on fake asylum letters and Canadian Dreams without thinking and planning.

You know. You jist echoed my views about Australia. Australia is exactly same. Not even a single thing,i find anything good.Even Universities are not good as they dont even teach . Teaching ka concept hi nahi hai. Worst part is Indians in these countries get offensuve when speak about the hardships. Matlab,fact toh yehi hai.unnecessarily kitna hype karte hain apne log aur kitna show off..omg! ..only safety for women is good. N i cud send kids to school in India too. We had bus, vans etc....what also you dont know is if there is no signal,then the drivers just drive over anyone,even kids,they dont care. All they care is only the signal. You will regret when you kids ask you to send them as a student May be. Indian educations are based on memorization. You can always go sent them in private school. Starting years are hard but you will make it. Even if you move to other side in India 2 months are not enough to settle. At the end where ever you feel happy

A little balance here please. Immigration is not utopia. 80-90% of H1-B visas in the US go to consulting companies that displace American labor with cheaper overseas labor that misrepresents their skills when applying (the fraud you mentioned). Less than 10% of H1-B visas actually go to people hired from abroad for their existing talent by places like Google or Facebook. And please also mention the percentage of income that immigrants from places like India actually send back to India instead of into the local economy, because it's the majority of their income, even in high cost of living cities. \n\nNo utopia.

I was a student in Canada and seen this first hand. Students packed in rooms and colleges cancelling semesters for new students. This is all true. Even the best colleges do that. That is still better than living in india. Quality of life in india is horrible. A single room apartment in india can easily cost between 25000-35000 in cities like pune , Bangalore, hyderabad and Mumbai. Mumbai is the most expensive. Salaries is so bad that an average person simply cannot have any dreams. Also many apartment in india which are rented don't even have gas so cooking food at home is not an option. Quality of food outside is horrible and also expensive. Water is of bad quality as well. So many things in india are actually more expensive than canada for example- phones , laptops, cars , fuel , protein supplements, real estate. My parents don't have enough money to send me to canada. So many times Living in india actually makes me wish I was never born. It's been years since I have stopped celebrating my birthday. Just existing and continuing to live because if I end my life who will take care of my mom and dad.

I lived in India because my parents did not have the money to send me abroad. I am supposed to travel to Canada in another 5days with a work permit offered from my current employer in India with a salary which is above average in Canada. As an experienced professional worked in Indian IT market for more than 7 years, I want the Indian students to know that if you are planning to work in core subjects like mechanical, civil, electrical or electronics, only then you should consider this difficult option. Otherwise in India, there is a massive shortage in the IT & Software market. With 5+ years of experience, with right skill you can earn 30-40LPA easily. So be careful before putting your life & your parents' only means of survival at risk.

i am an indian and i dont understand why some indian families particularly in punjab and andhra region are soo obsessed with sending there kids outside for education ??? it has little value in india unless it is an IB league college .. someone going to canada to study commerce or a BSc is very stupid . Finish your graduation in india and give exams for masters . go abroad only if you have a certain good score otherwise it is of no use .
