It's easier up there bcuz that border isn't as secure as the southern border. I guarantee you their statistics for fentynal crossing in via Canada is wrong. Those are just the statistics for the fentynal they caught, not the shit they haven't caught! Tariffs shouldn't have had to be the reason for Canada to do their job. They should have already been doing their job at that border. Trump had to threaten them in order for them to use drones, etc. at the border. They should have been doing that. As I am the 27,000th commenter, I know this won’t be read…but the REAL reason DJT is doing this is to knock us (Canada) down and weaken us so he can come in and take what he wants afterwards. Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

He’s and American president for America and if any non Americans wanna take issue with that. Then come get your citizenship and vote for it, but until then, stop crying about what America is doing and focus on your own country. Who knows, if you do your own country might actually be notable enough for you to understand my frustrations :)

Jeez, when will the world realise that the US is now a puppet of Russia, just like it's a puppet of Israel. I think Canada and the rest of the world should take this opportunity to create new trade deals and lean-in to a new world order. The sooner world leaders accept this, the sooner the US can get on with imploding.
