A business venture that originated in Europe several hundred years ago. A business venture that required employees to develop. Incentives were given to Europeans to come to Canada for this purpose. Those incentives included things like; a higher standard of living, gainful employment, the opportunity to own real estate, freedoms that didn't exist in Europe. Europeans accepted that offer. Came to Canada and built the infrastructure that currently exists in Canada. This development project is now complete. I don't know who made this decision, but it appears to have been decided that the maintenance of this project will fall to Asia going forward. We are seeing this transition unfolding. This was probably decided since those of European descent would never tolerate the authoritarian neo-feudalist dystopia that they have in mind for this country. It is now time for Europeans to return home to Europe. The job is done. I no longer recognize nor relate to this country. I feel like I am in a foreign country. There is no longer a place for me here. I plan to flee back to Europe as soon as it is financially viable to do so.

Dumbos government didn't send a plane and asked you to come. You could go other countries for study but chose Canada because it is banana Republic and you know you will get PR after some small bogus course. Australia don't even give PR to people who studied there unless they study the profession which they need. I like to go to Japan and live there so I will go for study there and then demand Japanese government to give me PR??? government is not saying no to you but government wants you to study the profession which is needed not fast food servers, security guard and truck drivers because for these jobs people are already here in Canada in tons. And when you saturate the labour market for these unskilled jobs then the corporations would have upper hands and they will suppress the wages and the living standards of everyone will go down. So don't try to become victim here I know you are Punjabi and I am from third world country too these tactics are old to become victim. Go study skill trade and build home for Canadians and then the government will give you PR no doubt. But you pendoos Jut came from Punjab villages and can't study hard subjects and looking for easy ways to get PR.

Sorry, but I didn't know 'so many people' were leaving Canada. In fact, my European friends living in Canada, LOVE Canada. Their number one reason? The government is for the people. Their numerous benefits, programs and services (employment Insurance, child benefit, pensions, benefits for housing, student aid, family benefits, grants and funding opportunities, disabilities and their recently implemented dental care plan), says it all. Sure the cost of living is high, but where isn’t? Especially after covid and especially if you want a decent quality of life. Their car insurance and phone plans are also expensive but they're getting better. Stay out of the big cities if you can't afford it. There are other parts of Canada that is affordable. \n\nBtw, the healthcare industry, particularly the long-term care sector is a good place to earn a decent living. They are always looking for RNs, PSWs etc. \n\nIn the end, the positives outweigh the negatives. Besides having free healthcare and the many generous social services and benefits, Canada is also a progressive country with strong social policies, including gender equality, LGBTQ+ rights and environmental sustainability, (we’re drinking out of those gross cardboard straws now. Hello?). Then there is our natural and breathtaking landscapes, our four seasons, our excellent education system, diverse communities, friendly people, our cool festivals (The Calgary Stampede, Montreal International Jazz Festival, Caribana, Toronto International Film Festival, Just for Laughs Montreal, Pride Toronto are a few that come to mind), our great air and water quality, strict gun laws, legal cannabis… I could go on and on.\n\nIf you're able to afford living in Canada, consider yourself fortunate.

Canada lets psychopath killers roam free everyday that have intentionally killed people. For context’ sake, for most of my adulthood I have always been poor & I am born with special health needs (E.g. disabilities).
\n\n\nSometimes on forums we are often contrasted to Canada, for some reason. Both Canada and Australia have remarkably similar problems with a different coat of paint. Sydney, for instance, has always been high up in the list of the cities with the highest cost of living in the world. Usually within the top 10-20. 

COVID-19 obviously made this issue clearer in some circumstances because we couldn't 'work' at all. Unless you were an essential service worker, to mentally block out personal and local difficulties.\n\n\nWe still have not recovered from that 2–3 years global shutdown. The only reason I was allowed to work for a period was because I work for the animal industry and aid in animal welfare. 

I still lost my job due to COVID-19 regardless and knew I would never get a decent job again. Merely just the last poor sod on the boat to be thrown off. 

Could not become a vet nurse despite working very hard. Just because no one wants to give me '2-years permanent paid experience’ to be taken seriously. 

At the same time, way too many employers will happily take 2+ years of veterinary students volunteering at their vet clinic. With the vague promise of a permanent job.

The younger adults and kids all know and have been aware for years, they have no future at all due to having an inflated cost of living. There seems to be a more jarring split between the income brackets of what the country assumes who is poor, middle class or rich today.

We are considered 'poor' just because my parents do not earn roughly $50,000 — $150,000 AUD a year on their own in 2023. Just because you had the privilege and the means to be developed does not give you the right to demean other nations. It's really nothing that you did, it's just pure luck, right place, right time, white superiority, destruction and so on which enables you to live such privileged lives and now you are crying when people are actually working hard to provide some competition.\n\nDon't you think regardless of race or ethnicity, every human being deserves the best life? \n\nBefore you judge a country do some research. \n\nYes, the people in general have a different thought process where in prominence is not given to space, way of living, probably you can put it up as standard of living and the quality of thought process. But that's always the case with generalization. I know it's hard not to when you see it, but being a better human is all about thinking beyond that. Yes people in India are general prone to having a shortcut process, at the same time, highly skilled people are abundantly present. In the information sector and other highly skilled areas, they are present earning loads of money which reverberates to more tax money for the government. \n\nI know that they have major issue with absorbing the host country culture and I believe that can probably or maybe alleviated by having some cultural programs so that they can fit into the society so that the Canadian culture is upheld. It's always difficult to see changes around you and your home being in your words being raided by foreign entities. Guess what? The world is filled with different ethnic groups. Hundreds of years ago all your native homes were part of the indigenous people here and they didn't even have time to complain or lament online when the Europeans butchered them and massacred their homelands, claiming the land and setting up as their own. Now you are in a position to call something your home and we all know what all your ancestors did regardless of how good you are right now. The least you can do is not comment such provocatively online against other ethnicities or is this atrocity still there in your blood. It's very simple. Try to think beyond frustration and be grateful for what you have. \n\nBy the way I can write more but I don' think it's worth my time but maybe positive things can happen if you put your mind into.

@Harrison, there a bunch of holes in your story an thus superficial or lacking, yet has potential to be more Canadian in that you need to differentiate a bit more, attention in the details that you may have missed, votebank, Punjab province certain cluster of uncouth or gang type, instead of drawing in all religions and races and the best educated like how the US does with it, instead of a votebank cluster, that make up only 3% of the Indian population, yet 50% of Brampton, yet Canada is slower to do such. As I hope you know that, in that in Canada a city doesn’t usually choose newcomers directly factors of, ethnocentrism, pricing, etc are.  \n\nIt was or used to be that newcomers in many cases had to move to less populated centres i.e. in Saskatchewan/Manitoba etc, to help make the place more profitable and big as born Canadians usually didn’t want to move there. As your worst nightmare, me Canadian born Indian with a more Canadian accent than yours, yet I speak French yet am from the GTA. You should dig deeper instead of the old squeaky rhetoric repeating, you forget to mention Gurudwaras do have langar known as no charge meal, but you have potential to be known and yet ask people if they or why they are or aren’t willing to integrate. Didn't know there was a bright side...

I've wanted to move to Canada since my childhood. The first time I tried was when I was 22 years old; I received a scholarship for Humber College. Unfortunately, my dream was postponed because I broke my leg. I attempted again at 25 years old, but I didn't have enough money for a comfortable immigration process. So, I decided to accumulate more funds and try again.\n\nNow, at 30 years old, I find myself in a different situation. I've just bought a big house, and I'm living a simple, calm life in Eastern Europe. Here, I have everything I need: a safe environment, the freedom to travel wherever I want, and minimal taxes in my industry. Healthcare is excellent, with no waiting times, and the food is amazing.\n\nDespite these comforts, I still have the opportunity to move to Canada. But I find myself questioning why I was so obsessed with it since childhood. I realize that I earn more in my home country than the average Canadian, even after taxes and rent. Perhaps Canada nowadays is more appealing to individuals from India, the Middle East, and Africa. If I were from these regions, I might still consider moving there. However, moving from Europe to Canada seems like the biggest mistake I could make right now. \n\nCons of Canada: 1) Misconception about communism. 2) High taxes, up to 50% in some cases. 3) Expensive rents(we all know u won't be able to buy anything decent there. 4) Perception of social conformity among Canadians, where sensitive topics may not be openly discussed for fear of judgment. 5) Disparity between the country's overall wealth and the financial struggles faced by some citizens.\n\nPros of Canada: well, I didn't find anything I could not find in other countries developed countries.

Nowdays all the cabin crews are very rude. Even I had a very bad experience with Air India at Guwahati . The air hostess was very rude. I was in the washroom she called me n bording time didn’t even started n she told me you will not go I am closing the gate. Most of the cabin crew in India are very very rude now. well I have to say that this video is yet another white man complaining how the country is when they sat and watched it happen over the past 20 years. BOO Hoo you're the minority now sucks don't it. I know its a two side issue (Indian and Canadian). But I would blame our present govt for letting so many international students from a specific country. They didn't even bother to estimate the demographics of people who they are letting in. When you are looking for multiculturalism then set a quota from each country rather then only from one country. And also must make sure they speak english or French and at the same time adapt to our rules and culture.

It's always been this way. The French and English were in their separate enclaves in the beginning. The Irish, Scottish and Germans then established their bases where they could more easily integrate into their new societies….The Italians and Portuguese and Greeks and other Euros set up shop in the 50's 60's and 70's…Most of them lived among their own communities with familiarity…Same for all the Asian and African, S.American, Carribean immigrants and others ever since…. They may stay a generation or two in these communities, but children of immigrants lean to living wherever suits them. It's like the evolution of immigrant societies. This is happening all over the world at this moment, and people of all races ,creeds and colours are complaining of other groups of peoples of all races, creeds and colours moving into and sometimes engulfing their communities.\nSome communities have been Gentrified…Do we shake our fists in the air and scream ' Damn those young professionals!!?' The guy was really in shock and pressure to pick up the food as the customer is constantly abusing him. Its tough to keep your cool sometimes. The poor guy didn't know what to do with 20$ as he didn't have change so was returning the cash back, but the customer took the toll on him knowing he doesn't have much experience how such situations are dealt- The delivery guy had to take the food back, return with exact cash to deliver again instead of asking the customer to manage the cash.
