I’m an international student from China and I never worked here. My Indian classmates ruined our final project. Wearing slippers for presentations and even cannot finish a simple website, my roommates are Indians as well, and they are all good. But some students they’re not come here to study, just for work. But just keeping the balance between study and work, will make other students have bad experiences. I also want to get the PR here, but it depends on my abilities and other factors. I love country music, K-pop, and pop Jazz, I watched a documentary about Canada before I came, and I was a volunteer at the London Air Show, Comic Con, Food Bank and Ronald Macdonald House. In addition, I also help the Church group make posters and videos. You come here is to integrate local culture and accept the rules and order, you can keep your own identity a features. Don’t forget you are a foreigner, you are the guest now.

No non Canadian citizens should be protesting in this country. Most of them are not here for education. They want jobs and our employers hire them because they are cheap labour. I'm not against immigration, but at one time, you were allowed status if you had a job waiting for you. The whole student study scheme is a scam!!!\nMake Canadians wait for 20 minutes at Tim Horton's!! Good luck with that! They will fire your ass out the door. Pierre Polievre says they are only doing what the government allows them to do.\nThe government has lost control of immigration. Another example of why Canada is broken.

Deport, deport, deport....\nIndians are always saying good things about India. I don't understand how they want to leave their beautiful country

Who said they don't want to go home? Canada invites international students with a promise to give them PR if they can finish school and qualify using one of the programs. I know because that's how I came to Canada. Unlike the US where it's hard to stay and you need a marriage, in Canada you can use a qualifying job. Usually people sponsored by family to get PR, as well as refugees, are put ahead of international students as well as those on work permits. \n\nIn the meantime, International students over-pay into post secondary, as well as working off campus and paying taxes, but are always last in line when it comes to being granted PR. The rules change so much so fast, it's easy to find yourself out of time and kicked out of the country. \n\nSo whoever watches this will be happy that International students are getting kicked out, but the problem with too much immigration won't be solved because the country is still taking in so many refugees. Right now it's international students getting the axe and are the scape goats in ths game. \n\nAlso, the reason why Canada takes in more immigrants beyond the obvious, is because they want to eventually do away with property rights. So while people can cheer kicking out international students, it doesn't prevent the inevitable from happening, because the politicians took in too many new people.. \n\nAnyway, good luck to everyone, from either side of this debate, it's bad news all around wharever the final outcome.

Go home international students. Work on making your home country so good that you will never want to come back....because you are creating problems here for native-born Canadians by clogging up our health care system, our schools, our housing, and our national identity. Make India great, so that you don't want to leave. Leave our food banks alone; you were supposed to come here with enough money that we didn't have to support you.

Some of the stats cited here are straight up wrong or... creatively employed, and there's a lot of contradictory information and the typical conservative 'the sky is falling' sensationalism and misattribution. That said, the bas supposition isn't wrong. The bubble we've been sitting on for 20 or so years has completely burst. As someone born and raised in the Toronto area, it's impossible for me to afford to own a house or apartment here on a teacher's salary. Even rent pushes me to the limit unless I want to live in a... less than nice area. I'm living hand to mouth and enjoying the benefits of living in a 'developed' country less. Here's why:\n\n1. Wages aren't really even close to keeping up with the cost of living. The first tick upwards a bit. The second just keeps rising on the back of housing, food, amenities, and inflation: the four horsemen.\n\n2. Our grocery cabal ruthlessly raise prices whenever we look away, and their lobbyists are all ensconced within the leadership of our three major parties, particularly the Conservatives (so if anyone thinks that electing them will help, they're in for a nasty surprise).\n\n3. We're experiencing 'labour shrinkflation': increasing duties are downloaded onto workers and more is expected: more productivity, more availability (almost 24/7 in some jobs), and higher qualifications. Meanwhile, real wages are decreasing relative to living cost, more positions are 'contract', which is basically a way for employers to not have to give you benefits, and job security is tenuous for a lot of people.\n\n4. Houses are being bought by investors and not owners. Foreign entities are money laundering. The wealthy upper crust of high population countries are moving here and buying property because Canada is (still) more safe and stable and less repressive than their home countries in most cases. \n\n5. There's a cycle beginning: as people are squeezed and forced to spend more on 'needs', they spend less on eating out, entertainment, and other 'wants'. These are significant drivers of the service economy and they're being hit hard. So, what can they do? They can let go of workers or lower product costs to remain profitable, but they their quality declines and, in a market where people are pinching every penny and looking for quality for their dollar, they're less likely to go back. They can raise their prices, of course, but then they price people out completely and their profits still tank. I went to a decent steakhouse for my dad's 60th last week. I can't remember the last time that I went to one before that. \n\n6. Our politicians and news cycles focus on the most niche and irrelevant stuff because it'll stoke anger and get tongues wagging. This carbon thing is almost a non-issue, but our conservative leader is harping on about it like it's singlehandedly the death of the Canadian economy when it's a drop in the bucket. Trudeau focuses on 'equity' measures, hoping for a bit of cheap good press, while his efforts are, for the most part, just window dressing and the issues, while meaningful, are often not of paramount importance or even applicable to the vast majority of the people who elected him. Meanwhile, the middle class is pretty much evaporating as he speaks. The NDP keep talking about this in a pretty real way, for what it's worth, but Jagmeet Singh is giving off an increasing vibe of just being another fat cat politician beneath his rhetoric these days. Also, third-party trolls and screeching conservatives try to bury him on social media whenever he speaks... a lot more than other leaders as well, oddly. I wonder why? Oh yeah, the Greens exist and there's Quebec and the conspiracy theory party.\n\n\nUltimately, what we're experiencing is the revenge of the feudal system. Instead of paying rents to your lord and doing labour on the land for him whenever commanded to, you pay rent to your landlord now and go to work even when you're sick or when work hours are over because you have no union protection or are working 'on contract'. Unless we want to live in the armpit of nowhere, 95% of us are going to be wage slaves living hand-to-mouth, not owning our own property, and working to please our corporate overlords if current trends continue unchecked. While some of Canada's problems are unique, I fear that most aren't. As for me, I'm headed to the 'armpit of nowhere' where I can at least have a ghost of a chance of affording life.

The problem is that india has a very far right wing party in power n it doesn't care about people of their own country except some...n punjabis dont belong in them that's why....they want to move to friendly canada...it's good on governments side of canada ro be helpful to those in need but their needs to be aome standard to it...with only young n having good qualifications or good job.

Further the government and businesses won’t pay Canadians a living wage, instead let them be homeless and get foreign workers to all live in one house or room and pay them cheap. \n\nThe true Canadian citizens in Canada are treated as second class citizens in their own country \nBecause the government is treating the people of Canada as commodities, easily disposable. \nLook at maid policies for goodness sake. \nLook at Veterans \nIf you can’t work because your disabled or senior \nThe government is literally writing you off as disposable \n\nGovernment is running the Canadian people and the country into the ground \n\nWhen are people of this country going to have a say in their own affairs \n\nGovernment spending for one should be held accountable to the people of this country!\n\nThe government is completely corrupt as we are seeing with our own eyes.\n\nThe amount of tents for the homeless is out of control \nYet, the government is putting refugees in hotels and feathering their nest for one whole year! \nSo the refugees can work save all their money and their housing and meals are paid for. In the meantime the refugees are taking out credit cards right left and center and driving our country more into debt than ever before.\nCanadians got a reputation as being “nice”\nAt the expense of being nice, inclusive and welcoming \nCanada is destroying itself\n\nI can tell you that a Canadian would never be able to go to their countries and get away with what they’ve received here in Canada..,and there is no one else to blame except the Federal Government and Large Corporations who are feeding each other hand over fist. It’s complete hypocrisy and corruption. \n\nAn independent review of the government needs to take place and those responsible held accountable.\n\nNever have I ever seen Government being held accountable for any wrongdoings. \n\nThings need to start changing \nPeople need to start opening their eyes to what is really happening in this country. \n\nAs a Canadian I am disgraced with how this country is being run into the ground. \nAnd how the Federal government is turning its back on its own citizens that worked hard for this country.

Because it comes off as like a bragging or a snobbery and I don't go for that. The worst mistake during the pandemic lockdown in Canada was the government shoveling out free money and people reinvesting it back into their real estate. So you have billions of Canadians locked out of their jobs big shovel taxpayer money and they all just started renovating their homes. To the point where sheets of plywood were you couldn't find them and they went up 100 times and price. Solo's hundreds of billions of dollars that the government's going to take back and taxes from us all draw the cost of housing through the roof. Instead of at the time redirecting half of those two it was 500 billion take a half of that investment in putting it into infrastructure technology innovation for industries. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

Quality of the Indian crowd has deteriorated since I left Canada in 2017. Educated Indian people are leaving Canada because they are struggling to make ends meet due to lack of opportunity in Tech and many other fields. Do you think that they are going to work in odd jobs? On top of that they get these for free: extremely cold weather, lower wage and crazy inflation. Its good that people are exposing Canada and only crude, uneducated and raw Indian crowd that is coming and settling here. Your politicians and education system deserve to be blamed. Your colleges and universities betrayed International students who wanted to work in their own field of choice by promising them every possible help. Unfortunately most of the students realize this only after living there for a few years. By that time your universities and colleges have already gulped the money paid by the international students. They don't care if you die on streets or remain homeless or go back to your own country. STOP COMPLAINING.

Although México isn't the greatest country, the part where i live (Near the center) is fairly safe, I've never been robbed or been involved in some cartel shit that you've heard of Mexico everyday (I'm 25 yo). The opportunity aren't the best either but aren't so bad...\nI mean, I've just finished the bachelor degree two years ago, I'm planning to buy a house with my girlfriend and making quick math we calculate it would take us about 3 - 4 years to save enough to buy one (Earning like 1200 USD monthly) taking in consideration that you can give yourself certain luxury's like hitting the road every weekend in motorcycle, visiting some places along the way, eating good food and stuff, with out sacrificing the rent or any basic necessities, then you remain with enough money for any emergency or urgent thing that comes out later.\nWatching this video makes me feel lucky of been here in Mexico even it isn't a very stable county i could say that the quality of life is fair enough (At least in the part where I am).\nSorry for you Canadian people... I hope you recover this crisis soon (I always wanted to visit that country)

So if those Indians start taking drugs and go homeless like those Canadian-born junkies you talked to, that would mean integration and adapting to the new home's culture?! I'm neither Indian nor Canadian-born but c'mon! What's wrong if those Indians listen to their parents who advised them to go to college, get a degree and and then get good job while those Canadian-born white parents told their kids do whatever that pleases you and become what makes you happy? And here they are: adicted and homeless living on taxes paid by hard working people like Indians. I'm Iranian-born but I saw a lot of hard working Indians and who cares if they want to live the way they want? And honestly it's none of anyone's business. It's a free country and you can't ask a Sikh to remove his turban or a hindu to stop going to his temple. Instead why not white people try to teach their kids the value of education and learning new skills so that they won't turn to junkies and homeless in their 60s relying on churches to feed them?!

I still think the No 1 reason is the weather. If you are a top talent, you don't want to spend 4-6 months in snow. The government has to work extra hard to make the country attractive, but they are not. I also don't think elected a different leader fixes the problem. Elected leaders can't fix systematic issues, US is a perfect example. Don't have good solution, just ranting here.

Now please make video on why you want to leave India. Canada is a country for creative people and not for average people who are always complaining. You need to know how to work hard and be successful here in Canada. I know very successful people made good life in Canada including myself. Good Luck!!

There cannot be productivity when there are no incentives to open business ventures in a country with small population that cannot sustain a strong enough market to profit from. Ad to that a climate that demands a huge bill in energy to keep you warm and with lights on during 8 months of the year and governments (Liberal and Conservatives alike) more focused in allowing foreign products to inundate the market instead of pushing for domestic industries, and last but not least the obvious fact we must import a huge percentage of good simply because there is no way to grow stuff here unless you spend millions of dollars in greenhouse harvesting that will be destroyed by the cheaper price of the same product being imported from anywhere in the world because we want to have strawberries, avocados and kiwis in February, right???

The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

Stop bringing in immigrants then and then watch your economy crumble. Canada has no problem bringing in immigrants who work hard, do all the long haul trucking and work all the jobs etc people born in Canada don’t want to do. Blaming immigrants for problems is as old white supremacy and racism in this country. The story of Building this country off of the back of new immigrants is as old as the railroad that built this country all done by Asian labour.\n\nPeople born in Canada also don’t want to have kids. Our birth rate is much lower than the US and other western countries. I feel bad for people who are living on the street and hopeless. This isn’t only a Brampton problem this is a problem across the country. If there’s anything this video highlights it’s the low housing issue and the targets set by the government. \n\nThis country will always need immigrants to support it. The key is to make sure we have the infrastructure in place to support everyone and that’s not the fault of people aka immigrants who come to this country and are told life is good here. It’s a problem of city planners and politicians who aren’t doing their job properly.

The problem is, that the Palestinians want someone elses land. The region of Palestine (not a country) was divided into Israel and Jordan. The arabs got the largest slice, Jordan. But that's not good enough for the 'palestinians' they want the whole lot. THAT is the real problem.

If i compare Today's Canada with my home country Greece during crisis period(2010-2017), the wages in my country was, and still is crap but the good thing was the extremely cheap housing due to a housing crash. That helped me buy two properties. Now it's almost impossible to be a first time buyer. Now also, especially after covid, the energy cost, food cost, made even people like me who are owners struggling to cover daily costs(living in my own property and renting out the other + working overtime). I decided to move to Copenhagen, but i quickly realised that it's not much better, and i couldn't use my qualifications. Now i'm working double the average person here to be able to afford to buy a sh*tbox in a smaller city, and i cannot sell any property back home bc i will pay a huge capital gain tax as a Danish tax resident. My rental income from Greece can't help to get bigger mortgage in Denmark, but i think my income is enough for anywhere outside Cph. ...i don't want to imagine how Canadian cities, London, Australian cities are for the average renter/1st time buyer!

All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. Liberals are on the right path, but with a lacklustre message that doesn't really counter the escape artists' conservative expense slashing without an alternative plan to place before the public for comparison. It's obvious that nobody wants to lose their earned income either through taxes or any other fees. But, the progressive conservatives say that environment and pollution is a business decision whereas Nature and environment is everybody's business. Every citizens business.If not for the natural resources the Fossil fuel industry fully backed by the conservatives would not make any money or profits. Hence shareholder primacy is a hoax in front of human energy that is sustained by clean environment. Mark Carney leads that mission internationally. Money is not Energy, it's only a lever. Therefore, you need people living in good health to action the lever. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. These companies know Canada's potential for a reliable economy and economic growth.

America is a good place to live. I have visited a number of places in the USA and it's a free first world country with alot of fun and cool places to see and do. Just like every country in the world there are positives and negatives. I think that the health care is majorly flawed in America. Health insurance is too expensive for the average person and if you get really sick and don't have health insurance in America you are probably going to die. I also don't like that there is no gun control and way to many murders and violence in the USA. Those are the 2 biggest problems that make me not want to live there.

It is a good question though....\nWhy would any true Muslim want to live in a country completely opposite to their culture and theological viewpoint?\nIf I said I only loved hot weather,the hotter the better,it wouldn't make any sense if you heard I'd moved to Alaska would it?

In 2004 I wrote a somewhat famous article called 'Top 8 reasons not to immigrate to Canada'. In short, the Canadian authorities tried to destroy my life. They made it so that I could not be employable in Canada. So I moved to the U.S. in 2005 and then some years later I moved permanently to the Philippines. I am happy that so many years later videos like yours are saying essentially the same things that I did. I was ahead of my time. I will never go back to Canada. Not to live, not to visit, not even a connecting flight. Too cold, too expensive, taxes are astronomical, no culture, no freedom, no jobs, no opportunities, only modern slavery, worst healthcare system, unbearable political correctness, crime infested/drug infested, xenophobic people, too depressing. It has become a North Korea style dictatorship in the western world.\n\n\nTheir are many reasons why Canada has fallen apart. But the number one reason is ‘multiculturalism’. My friends, multiculturalism simply does not work. Different cultures do not come together and mix, different cultures come together and clash. The world is divided into different countries for a reason: because people hate each other and only want to be with their own kind. The number two reason for Canada’s demise is ‘socialism’. In this modern era of aging populations, it is mathematically impossible for socialism to continue. The government does not have the money to take care of old people and provide healthcare, pensions and the various other benefits, even with the astronomical taxation that burdens hard working Canucks. Well Canada, you had a good run. Time for Canucks to move to an emerging country. We welcome you here in Southeast Asia.\n\nMulticulturalism destroys the fabric and identity of a country. Canada looks big on the map, but it's really a small country with just a handful of 'big' cities. Immigration is important and has been good for Canada, but we can easily be swamped by enormous countries like India, China, the Philippines when only a tiny percentage of people from those countries want to come here. The Christian, Britsh/European character is what built this country and it will be diluted and lost.

Immigration is good when done correctly but with the majority of people who come here they do not want to be Canadian. They don't want to live with us. So many never talk English and they want to live with their people, they own way and pretend we don't exist and are living in their country in ours. I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The Conservatives are involving themselves in a right wing romance with fascist trumpianism and think poutine is an ok guy. The hate speech is unreal. We used to be a real chill country. I have young 20 somethings telling me they think Communism is a great idea and they would rather fight for poutine if a war breaks out. Well it’s their future not mine. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The NDP (New Democratic Party) is neither here nor there, they’re kind of always the minority and swing both the other two parties to divide the vote and gain some form of temporary power. \nI’d like to see a politician that has the balls to stand up to the dictators of this world that shit disturb in every continent because they are such little insecure bastards that they think they can conquer it. I moved to Canada as a child with my parents 41 years ago. It isn't just inflation and cost of living that is the problem. It's the dramatically increasing racism and discrimination, even against people who have been living in this country longer than the racists discriminating against them. Seriously? This is not the Canada that I came to as a child, grew up in, or have lived and worked in for many decades. I made the mistake of working around the world for a short time and picking up an accent that wasn't even mine originally. I had a Canadian accent before finishing elementary school. To come back to be asked to go home or 'we don't want your sort here' is not just simple racism, but hatred that makes me regret ever having agreed to taking on Canadian citizenship. My kids and grandchildren have Canadian accents and were Canadians from birth. But should they leave and return to the same crap??? What disgusts me more is that the PM dares to include immigrants with refugees, under the banner that 30% of the population are immigrants. Under the law, refugees are temporary migrants and usually nothing more. To bundle immigrants who came to Canada through legal means of applications, brought hundreds of millions dollars into Canada with them of their own hard-earned money from their own countries, to have it taxed out of them, and their families deliberately put into poverty so Canada can fulfil its 19th century-PM Macdonald immigration policy of, and I quote from a Canadian federal government website, quoting PM Macdonald directly, about breeding out the Indigeneous people, is beyond sick! Most jobs in Canada are blue collar and very few are white collar, yet Canada still continues to deceive the world into believing otherwise. Canada is a great vast and beautiful land, but only a small percentage of it has any infrastructure, roads, or homes sufficient to house what is a decreasing fraction of society. Refugees take preference over immigrants and citizens alike. The lie about the homeless is getting bigger. Most homeless Canadians today are veterans, elderly, disabled, mentally ill, poor, and professionals and trades people, yet Canada brings in countless professionals, claiming that their education and experience will get them into the professions that they are coming from. It's all a scam! Canadian education is not the best and yet people with better educations and job experience are being forced to spend all their money to go back to university or college to get jobs that they rarely will be hired for. Canada is not short of doctors, just short of professionals who hire professionals without using discrimination, hatred and racism for their HR kit! Many taxi drivers are doctors, engineers, and so on. So, please stop lying to the world and tell the truth. And no doubt this entry will be taken down because it offends a Canadian who doesn't want the world to know the truth.

TLDR; I am an person from a wartorn, oppressive country, and I unfortunately do not have many options to choose from other than Canada to have a chance for a better life.\n\nLet me tell you from the perspective of a person whose dream is to come to Canada: I know all this already, I know things are going terribly and the cost of living has gone up significantly. But the unfortunate thing is, the country I am from, is currently in turmoil. I do not fit in there as a person and hate the culture. Its incredibly corrupt with no growth. I am more western, and open minded, and my original country is a strict Islamic country. I do not fit there at all.\n\nI know Canada has all these problems, but its my only choice for a better future, I dont want to go to US because I dont wanna die, also, EU wont accept me unless I am from EU myself or speak their language which is a catch 22. Australia is also becoming a shithole. That leaves Canada and NZ. NZ doesnt have that good of job prospects and limited scope and I love Canada, always have. The weather and everything that comes with it.\n\nYes its not perfect, but I think its more about knowing that I can go back to a place, that is not dangerous for me and my future family, where I will get good care if I am stable job wise. Once I am in Canada, I will probably buy my own land and use that to have a trailer home there since they are still cheap, save my money, and probably retire in Philippines. \n\nI dont believe everyone else should do that and yes I know trailer's costs depreciates with time, unlike a house, but I dont care about that. This lack of access to health care is a new thing. I agree with your assessment. It now seems lonelier in Toronto. \n\nCanada used to be different because anyone with a good job could afford at least a condo, but life became unaffordable not just for immigrants, but for everyone unless you are in your 50s-60s and own a home. \n\nI have friends working double jobs supporting family back home in other countries, but for some of them the family back home sound like they are doing better than them and own a home. It’s like they are sacrificing their life to be in poverty or full of hardships and their families get to go out for dinners and drinks with friends. Not them. Not true for everyone, but for some yes and I worry about their own retirement because retirement in Canada without lots of savings means you might be homeless or forced to live with family even if it’s not your preference. \n\n without investments and savings, it will be hard to beat inflation. Getting into debt and getting bad credit can mean not getting an apartment. \n\nThe birth rate is going down because it is expensive to have kids and income isn’t enough to match with living costs. Getting help from government is really not something everyone gets access too. One person might get housing support, 10 others may get nothing. Different governments offer different things. Programs end and change often. \n\nIn Canada definitely bargain and shop around for good phone plans. one idea is to get a pay as you go until “Black Friday” then every year or two when your good offer expires there will be many others. It’s the time with the best deals saving almost half. For instance, I have 50 gigs for $25 for two years from a large provider. Telephone companies are the one place where people must bargain and even ask for better deals as a must.\n\nThe people you see living in big houses, will have kids that can’t afford the same. Plus, if you live too far from your work you will have no time to socialize for most the week due to travel time. \n\nI think those who grew up in Toronto do have a certain culture of acceptance with others from many cultures, because your friends at school were from all over. But with new migrants sometimes it isn’t until the second generation that their social circles get diverse. This can be isolating and it’s even isolating as those from Toronto eventually leave dreaming of staying in one spot and not forced to move constantly when a landlord investor sells every house you move into. \n\n\nToronto really needs to protect affordability of housing for at least some housing in every section so that people can save money if they live in the city, and not have to leave their communities and be far from their friends and family. \n\notherwise eventually people get sick of the hustle and it’s too tiring to travel 1+ hrs each way to visit someone during Monday to Friday. \n\n20 years ago any professional could at least buy a condo. Not today. There is too much competition now and investors are allowed to buy up all the most affordable housing that once was a pathway to owning a home. \n\nRich policy makers got greedy and destroyed canada and hopefully diversity in leadership will help make Canada better. But they perhaps people knew to Canada can reject this lonely structure and help us rebuild Toronto into an amazing place. \n\nWe need to make sure everyone can afford housing with 30% of their income. I came in Windsor Ontario as a foreign worker in 2009, wasn't the best time to look for a job there but still. I did 1 year of studying, worked again, left for Alberta in 2012 where I still am. Got my PR in 2014 and citizenship in 2022. Most of the things I hear against living in Canada must be true, I don't doubt it but I'm just not aware of them. I didn't even know there was a bank account freezing during COVID. It wasn't easy to get a good job, I had to leave for a small community in Alberta to get the most of what I wanted and that's why I am oblivious to the harsher reality that people have to endure in Toronto or Vancouver. But the thing is, as soon as I landed in Toronto and got robbed 50$ by some guy (this is just an anecdote not the real reason), I knew I shouldn't try to make a living there. I know job opportunities are in those big cities but please, if you can, there are great communities that need people, workers, consumers and families. If you can land a job there, move! At least try. It doesn't even have to be that far up north, nor to be a mini small village. Small city, rural living, no criminality, cheap housing, lots of space, family friendly, no traffic, no wait time to see a doctor, friendly people, douchebags, we have it here. Are they drawbacks? Yes of course. Need to drive 1 or 2 hour to get a scan or an MRI, car dependance is exacerbated but hey, it feels like a free country where no one have been overpriced...yet.

Many immigrant think that Canada will welcome them with a house and a good job. I have met many immigrants that they are back to their countries because they can not adapt or They do not want adapt to the Canadian way of life (which by the way it is not that difficult.) I am doing well because I get up everyday not waiting to get hand me downs or charity. I work hard. I also know many immigrants that have made Canada their new home and they are really happy. Definitely, Canada is not for everybody.

Jobs are everywhere but employers know that immigrants are more disciplined, hard working and appreciative of the opportunities provided, when compared to the average Canadian-born citizen. America is a good example, Indians and Pakistanis are the most successful ethnic group, everyone else is behind. They didn't get a shred of the support that's being given out today, instead it was jail. \n\nWhite Privilege is very real and especially in countries like Canada and the United States. If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Inflation is higher than what they say.. real estate prices are out of touch with the actual wages and salaries.. cost of food is unbelievable… rent is ridiculous.. Actually it is really simple, the main reason that educational institutes (businesses in reality) and the country have been bringing in international students (whether India or elsewhere) is that *the international students pay 4-5x more in tuition* and so *educational institutes and the country wants to bring them in as cash cows, to milk them for the money!* *They have been using them as cash cows and milking them* There are so many institutes where there is such an imbalance, where 80-90% are international students and the local minority, the reason again is, $$. \n From international students and imgs there is a boost in the economy because of the high tuition they pay and the tax that is collected from that tuition, they spend on rent (crazy expensive as you know) transport, basic cost of living like food etc, entertainment etc, so the economy did benefit from immigrants and international students, but I completely agree that there is way too much influx. It is not good for them nor for the country, as everything has become so expensive, rent and housing affordability is gone crazy, due to crazy demand and low supply. \n So the problem is greed! I totally agree with True North's the Timz example, and the other places mentioned, and I really think that the government should work on affordability, the housing crisis, health care, sustainability, and fair and equal employment.

It's a double edged sword. The industry (fast food, food retailing, services) WANT those people, be it international students, refugees or other to work because there is insufficient response from the local population of young people. Even certain restaurants and hotels had to remain CLOSED after the pandemic, because they could not find enough people to work. The government covid money dissuaded the local population from working. It is a huge mistake to admit so many Indian students attending low-credentialed private colleges and then allow them to work 20-30 hours a week. Trudeau and Miller are to blame for this. But at the same time, there was a labour shortage due to the ageging population and the fact that people have fewer kids today. Canada should give greater priority to trained professionals in areas where there is a need, such as construction, education and nursing. People in India, China, eastern Europe and other countries can get very good training in technical colleges, but it is the wealthy families in these countries that don't want their kids working these jobs.
