Canada, where criminals, deadbeats & freeloaders get every advantage and the law abiding tax paying citizens simply get used and abused.

As a Canadian citizen, I’m interrogated trying to re enter Canada if I travel, told to pay duty, taxes on any purchases.\nThese illegal immigrants walk right on in, get put up in a hotel, given room service meals and a govt cheque in the works.\nWe are punished just for being Canadian citizens

Becsuse Canada cannot accomidate an influx of people all at once. People from.3rd world countries who suddenly have access to a heath system for free? Thats gonna make for overcrowded hospitals. To say nothing of the lak of housing. \n But .... 30 yrs ago our biggest fear was that there would ,'no longer be a pension'. Those fears are quelled because these immigrants, while working at Tim Hortons will pay tax.

Please, blame the govt. I don’t think citizens or immigrants are to blame. Finding stable work in Canada is a challenge these days even for permanent residents/new citizens. No guarantee of work even after acing an interview and building skills as needed. At this point I feel like immigrants are just tax paying scapegoats, who are used by the government and hated by local people. This is not real inclusiveness. Govt must give priority to their citizens and encourage immigration if there are real opportunities to offer. Everyone needs work and stability inorder to live a civilized and stable life. Calling loads and loads here to benefit the economy and politicians just be called third world trash isn’t fair.

As an Indian student, i would like to share with you my perspective \n1) you will never see me dancing in public, blasting music and littering \n\nI actually spend my sundays cleaning plastic from trails \n\n2) i am a full time student for 4 years funding over 90 grand for a bachelor on top of that paying my taxes and paying 1100$ a month for rent being limited to 24 hours a week I do not work outside campus I work the job the college provided to me \n\nThe problem comes up when people use the 1 year and 6 month diploma program to enter the country and work here full time \n\nThey associate themselves only with indians mainly because they cant speak the English language fluently \nTherefore they associate with the exact people they associated with back home \n\nHow will they adapt to a new country if they hang out with the same people \n\n\nI came to canada with a goal \n\nTo make Canadian friends \nLearn about Canadian culture \nStart a new life \nAnd work my ass off to get my degree \n\n\nMost people move here to make more money \n\nThey sell their land and do so \n\nPlease do not associate hard working indians who adapt and leave their past behind with these people who have come here purely to exploit the system\n\n\nTrust me I know it's hard to hear this but good Indians do exist. I have so many Canadian friends who love me as much as I love them. Dear Canada, if you stop putting your nose in other country's affairs and stop following your big bully cousin, USA in meddling in evry corner of the world with the not-funny anymore DEMOCRACY, perhaps, people in Africa and middle east would leave their homeland less to move to your country; and, the Canadian people can pay less tax and keep their living standard.

Canada, like Australia and etc., faces a fundamental issue that makes it reliant on—or even more severely, dependent on—immigration. Of course discussing this fundamental issue is inappropriate for Canadians. The housing crisis is not caused by immigrants. While you can criticize immigration policies, they are merely the straw that broke the camel's back. It's similar to inflation; like, even if it remains at 2% per year, we will still experience the peaks and troughs of business cycles, just less intensely. Sure you can have a public housing program, where does that money come from? More and more tax money. Having to work harder to only end up with paying more taxes for those who either did not have the opporunities or didn't work as hard (who cares what the actual reasons are), just feels like a ripoff.

Government will tax vacant unit and not punish offenders for not paying rent. Welcome to Canada.

nothing such thing ,you can see in usa. This is a utter stupid laws in canada, the tenants can enjoy without paying rents for even for years. I don't know what the hell of all these laws where they found such laws on this planet. The tenants never know the value of the property. most of them are all on welfare and child tax benefits. mainly they are cooking and sleeping 24/7 and damaging the property too. if you go to land lord tenants board. they are other stupid. they don't know how a landlord is suffering by all these stupid tenants.

Please learn the difference between refugees and immigrants. Canada needs immigrants to fuel its economy. Profofessionals come here in Canada ready to work and pay taxes while Canadians were educated for free (k to 12) and even availed student loans before even contributing to Canada's economy. Be specific with what immigration programs you are referring to. Some immigrants do not owe you anything for being immigrants in Canada. We came here fully equipped with education and skills, bringing our savings and ready to work and pay taxes.

I have only been in Canada for seven months now, but I noticed a few things about its economy that led to this mess. I noticed that Canada has no globalized companies, meaning the government only makes a little money from doing business with other nations. Businesses here are lazier than their neighbor, the USA, or even in my country, Vietnam, which could be due to a lack of competitors. Cad also has the biggest forest reserve and largest oil deposit but is the lowest exporter. So I wonder how on Earth it stays in the top 10 wealthiest countries with such lazy activities. Up to this point, foreigners are the biggest income of Canada; this country is truly built on immigrants. To keep the country running, it must attract more foreigners. Without int' students, how much do citizens have to pay to keep schools running? If you view it differently, the government also sells the PR through SV Visa because, let's be honest, if millions of investors have invested, there should be something or at least one globalized company, but there are none. From $75k to $200k, foreigners can buy PR for every family member. It is considered affordable for Asian families compared to the USA or Australia. On top of that, another scam is a carbon tax, which means the government needs to learn how to make money rather than invent taxes and sell dreams to foreigners.

One of the wealthiest countries in the World? Don’t make me laugh. Canada is a Third World country with poor quality healthcare, poor infrastructure and unreasonable taxes. We get robbed blind by an incompetent government; where accountability does not exist. why does my High paying Taxes get me? NOTHING at all; at least, nothing tangible.

I'm 27 and I have 35k saved. I've made so much money over the years that has been spent on rent, paying back student debt, braces, food, taxes, my business expenses, and life in general. I'm hoping my business will continue to grow to the point where I don't need to be worried about retiring... but honestly, Canada is making it really hard. I feel like my 20s were over in a flash and I barely got to do anything but work

It is absolutely laughable that anyone would ignore the degradation of Canada thanks to the insane immigration policies that are both exploitative and predatory. I work in a field where I speak with hundreds of Canadians a month, and the ratio of immigrant to Canadian born individual I speak to is 4:1. The problem is NOT with the immigrants but the policies, and those of us who work and pay taxes who essentially support the integration/lifestyle of some of these immigrants should NOT be shamed into hiding for expressing our concerns. Canada has to reform all immigration policies immediately. Let’s get housing, healthcare and public services in place before we allow hundreds of thousands more people into Canada.

Finally a report that calls it the way it is. Canada is broken, all the services our tax dollars support are redirected to the new Canadians. There are no services available to me, after paying taxes for more then 40 years. Housing, rentals are outrageously priced, what once cost $800 a month a few years ago, is now $1,500 for the exact same unit. \n\nThe Canadians that built this country with their tax contributions are being shut out of all the services and we can't afford to live in our own country. Even immigrants don't want to live here anymore. Canada is broken!\n\nthere are a lot of reports that show immigrants using foodbanks like a grocery store. Food banks are not grocery stores, they are there to help people who are not able to buy food. Foreign students are expected to be able to support themselves while in Canada as foreign students. They lie about having the money to get in, then when they get here they complain, take our housing, our jobs (Ukrainians can work in Canada as soon as their plane lands, after receiving $3,000 in cash from the government of Canada).\n\nCanadians are treated as second class citizens, priority is given to new Canadians. There are absolutely no services available to me, no doctor, no affordable housing, double the price for food, no medical, nothing....

Take Canada back...you mean for the indigenous people? It's amazing how these settler communities are using xenophobia to demonize people that are hard working, tax paying and here for generations. Many work in the medical field. Movements like Take bBack Canada are funded by the Far Right to make Canada unsafe for those who are non white and indigenous.

There are now quite a few news stories in Canada of immigrants leaving the country - some back home and others to the USA and other places. Many just get a Canadian passport and then leave. There are public health care and pensions, so it can be an asset and also a convenient travel document to have. A lot of Canadian university graduates have a very hard time finding work in their fields and a lot of them look to the US for a better future. Both immigration and unemployment in Canada are much higher that in the US - so more people are chasing fewer jobs that often pay less and are taxed more than in the USA. Opportunities are generally a lot fewer in Canada than the US, and the business environment is not as favourable, and taxes significantly higher. You would be getting some of the entrepreneurs from Canada moving to the US for more favourable conditions as well to launch a business and also now a lot more rich investor types, so-called high net worth individuals wanting to relocate, because they just raised the capital gains tax in Canada. Capital gains is also triggered on inheritance in Canada with a deemed sale of property and assets, so rich people would prefer the American system and want to be residents there for tax purposes and have their assets grow in value in the US compared to Canada. There are very large numbers of foreign students and other categories of immigrants which may have as their goal going to the US after getting a temporary visa to Canada which is easy to get - maybe something like half a million to a million people in those categories depending on the year, plus around another half million regular immigrants and refugees now. The Trudeau administration has increased immigration to record numbers. It has been steadily going up over the years for several decades since 1990. Because of family re-unification it can have a snowball effect and could significantly exceed 1 million per year. A lot of the sending countries have much larger populations than Canada, so there are a lot more that can be potentially sent to Canada in the future. About 1/4 of the population of Canada has been added in the past few decades. Add to that visitors and temporary visas - that is a lot of people potentially moving to the US. Before the 1990s Canadians visiting the US were not required to have a passport and a drivers' license or birth certificate was adequate. Now a passport is required. It is impossible to effectively control the long Canada-US border, so there could be some unified policies in that area agreed on between Canada and the USA on immigration and refugees. Canada currently has a very open immigration policy with the government actively seeking out more immigration beyond its current processing capacity and trying to take rejected immigrants from other countries. The Canadian government, especially in recent years under Trudeau is immigration hungry. It might be the only country in the world doing that. What some news reports are now saying is that some immigrants are actually leaving, since they find it so difficult in Canada and some are worse off than they were in the countries they came from, which were considered to be less developed than Canada. \nWashington currently has more immigration controls and administrative competencies than Ottawa, so US pressure and influence is a faster way to get reforms into the system than waiting for local politicians to do anything, which is unlikely. Canada is seen by some as a backdoor into the US. Biden's immigration policies could be seen as very conservative in Canada compared to Trudeau's. It used to be in the news about how refugees were trying to get to Canada and walking across the border in Quebec and out west from the US earlier, but now there are more news stories of immigrants leaving Canada trying to go the other way, probably due to high costs and unemployment because the government took in more people than it could absorb into the economy. They have the idea that immigration drives GDP growth so that they can borrow and spend more, expand the civil service, etc. without making any cutbacks or efficiencies, supposedly without the Debt to GDP ratio getting worse, just by bringing in more people as if that would drive the economy. A lot depends on who you bring in as well. Are they going to go on welfare, are they going to increase crime, will they somehow contribute to society, are they a net tax benefit or cost in terms of government services, will they invest money, will they start a business and create jobs for others ? Those issues do not factor into government decision making in Canada for the most part. Ontario Premier Doug Ford did say there were too many foreign students. It is bad planning not to consider those factors since there are other costs that grow with those policies as well, and infrastructure has to be expanded. I think that the real immigration numbers to Canada are not transparent or made public, nor are the costs involved, if anyone even knows what they are. Nor is the impact on crime. You can guess from what the reports are in other countries. The Fraser Institute has made some estimates on the net costs of immigration to the government budget a few years ago, which were very high and which by now have increased - the cost equivalent of several new aircraft carriers each year. They are big numbers which are not publicized, but it amounts to the fact that immigration is subsidized by the taxpayers in Canada and it is not paying for our pensions as an ageing society as has been claimed. There is less money for education, health care and pensions per person, and those social benefits will probably have to be reduced over time. Social programs can only be delivered to the extent that the government has money. The bigger social system a county has, the more such immigration policies are going to cost. Trudeau has been expanding various social programs as well, so higher taxes and debt are likely with that approach. Then more productive people and companies will want to leave Canada and go to the US. Probably the government does not know what the actual numbers and costs are and doesn't actively keep track of that information beyond what is required. Probably nobody knows what the true immigration figures and their associated costs are in Canada, and hardly anyone has even studied those issues. If they can just walk across the US border and get papers so easily making an asylum claim, it is not surprising, since it would take them longer to get a regular visa and work permit if they did it legally. You could call that a loophole in the US immigration system which is being exploited. The US is better governed in general and has a better system in many ways, but I am not sure if it is the same on that. People have arrived on boats and have not been sent back. At least in the US you have more open information about those issues. In Canada it is hard to find out anything about it. Deportations from Canada are very few. \nOn other issues in Canada when voting in federal elections you have to show a government issued photo ID like a drivers' license or passport to vote and bring a card that was mailed out to eligible voters that gets updated addresses when a person files their taxes. I have never heard of mail-in ballots in Canada, but there are remote areas of the country in the far north who may have special system for voting. It is easier to get a Canadian citizenship than US and many more citizenships are handed out in Canada each year in proportion to the population than in the US. Canadian might be one of the easiest citizenships to get in the world. The official line now is that it is a country of immigrants. Based on current trends, will very little opposition to it in the parliament and most MPs supporting it, future immigration to Canada could increase to several million per year because of the rapid growth of population in the world, and the momentum already growing of immigration to Canada, so it may change significantly in the future. Historically around the world you can see many examples that country names, borders, flags and languages change over time with population changes, so it might not be called Canada anymore in 50-100 years. For example, Bulgaria used to be called Thrace which had been a powerful kingdom in antiquity and had a different language which is barely known about anymore. Over the past 2,000 years it has gone through a number of changes and had various regimes governing it, has been independent and also part of several different empires. Canada has only been a country for a short time in comparison and has been been going through significant changes. Trudeau has said that Canada is a post-national country. Canada is also going through a period of critical self-examination and deconstruction-revisionism. A lot of what had been viewed as positive from its history now is seen more critically, with re-naming and removing historical figures now seen as negative.\nDiscussing immigration policy critically is considered by many to be taboo in Canada, unless a person is saying good things about it in general. You can hear people say that the government isn't processing enough people, for example, but not often that there are too many or that it costs a lot of money. The trend of migration from Canada to the US would only increase much more in the future as it is going currently, and its role as a stepping stone to migration to the US could increase. The way this would be seen by many in Canada is that they are losing valuable people to the USA whom they consider assets, since a lot of officials have been trying to bring in more people into the country, but not everyone wants to stay in Canada nowadays because of a lack of jobs and opportunities. Canada is quite laissez-faire about migration, with Toronto being a sanctuary city as well.

If every American come together and stop paying taxes that might work. When the money stop what would they do then . Canada is in with the cartels .

Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

It's not even just in Brampton even 1 to 2 hours away immigrant and international students take all customer service jobs to the point that Canadians can barely get hired into these roles because we have expectations and rights that we worked for and I've seen these immigrants willing to work for less than legal minimum wage and they do not stand up for themselves or work towards having any shared rights. In addition many politicians on both sides of the aisle are rental landlords so only stand to profit from low rental vacancies and cramming as many people into a small space as possible. They've also cut funding to a lot of post-secondary institutions who rely on inflating tuition cost for international students. At my current role on a team of 15 people plus one manager there are only three white people, born and raised Canadians. The rest are all Indians including the manager and will frequently talk amongst themselves loudly in Punjabi while we're trying to serve customers in the English language. That's actually against policy but Canadians are so outnumbered by immigrants and specifically Indians in this place that it never gets enforced properly. I've never been anti-immigration but it's gotten so bad in Canada especially in places like Ontario that I'm now against it and will tell anyone regardless of their skin color to avoid immigrating here. I've been on a wait list for a doctor for over 11 years, I know people who have died from cancer due to delayed referrals due to long wait list for additional screening, it's insane and absolutely ridiculous especially considering the amount of taxes I currently pay and have paid my entire life as a born and raised Canadian.\n\nAlso it's absolutely true every single one is either taking or has taken post-secondary studies in business admin or management. We don't need more people in these fields we need Healthcare sector workers and not a single one that I've spoken with which again is quite a few studied anything related to medicine Healthcare nursing... not one.

Time to get the rabbits out of the garden. No more foreign home ownership, if you wanna own Canadian property you should have to live here. Decrease immigration to no more then 150,000 a year and not just east Indians but all ethnic groups. Axe the carbon tax and force the liberal party to pay back what they stole. Make it easier to build homes. If you aren’t a citizen you don’t get access to our free healthcare you should have to pay, can’t prove your a citizen then pay up. That’s how you’ll fix canada.

Why r we accepting refugees at the cost of tax paying temp residents- If u are not planning to give them PR, why do u tax thier income? Canada Gives settlement funds to refugee and asks students to have 30000 Dollars plus fees plus own living expenses , Why?

Why broken? They are coming to use the system by registering noncompetitive schools. Working in 3 jobs not going to school to pay the tuition? This is scam and against education visa conditions. Chinese than almost all other international students violating the system while we tax payers compensating them. So this is the end. They will complete education and if not needed will go back. They come here and want to run our country. But we say anything then we are in the wrong. As Canadians were getting pushed out and forgotten. Healthcare is worse even with so little population, Indian healthcare is far far better we forget to appreciate specially considering population in India. No customer service in canada, most services are closed on weekends they don’t care even if ur dying.. India see seekh loo customer service. Plus education is worse they charge high fees but professors are worst they higher anyone that fits their budget not on merit. People occupy positions from graduation until they retire so no scope of growth or upskilling and they get threatened by highly qualified and ambitious Indians who come from fast paced environments. Every immigrant needs to go through the proper process not the easiest way. We paid large amounts of money to enter Canada and we were interviewed to be accepted. That should be the standard. Over population is a problem and straining the health care system and the housing system. Vote the right government in to balance things out. 100% true. I pay 30% as tax of my income and nothing we get in return. Last year, l was pregnant and as showed in the video...got gynecologist after 4 months...luckily l got it, because l didn't even have a family doctor at that time. Worst experience was my delivery. They discharged me on 3rd day, and l got admitted in emergency again on 4th night. Horrible thing is that l waited 5 hours in emergency. ?....list is long ....Canada is a trap.

In simple words, if you have an extremly seious condition then only you get an immediate treatement in Emergency. If you need to see a specialist like dermatologist or orthopedic, average wait time here is 6 months. \n\nRents :- Canada population has increased by over 1 Million every year in past 3-4 years due to libreal immigration policies. However, the goverment did not take any steps to accomodate these people. To give context, Canada has built houses every year to accomodate only 300K people. That is why the average rent(950$) is more than double nowadays (2000$) for the same house/apartment in compare to what was 5-6 years ago. \n\nHome Affordibility:- Average family(two person) income is $75k yearly right now. Average house price in Canada is $700k. The bank only approves mortgage upto 4x times your income. So that is 75 * 4 = $300k mortgage. I am watching this video from Canada and I have 4 words for you - “DO NOT COME HERE!!!” Everything that was mentioned in the video is absolutely true. Canada is facing many problems, unaffordable housing, broken healthcare systems, homeless people, drugs. I am always scared to walk in downtown at night when I’m returning from work. And the worst part is, you cannot even defend yourself here if a homeless person is attacking you. If you do that you will be prosecuted saying that why did you touch that homeless guy and it is a violation of human rights, which is stupid. So does that mean that we should just let a random homeless person kill us?? How does that make sense?? My friend who was having an asthma attack had to sit in the emergency room for 8 hours. If something would have happened, who would be responsible? And the list just goes on. And what does the Canadian prime minister do about that….? Let a guy be a girl and a girls become a guy? What does that even mean??? I have nothing against the LGBTQ people. That’s your life do whatever you want, I don’t care. But there are so many other issues going on in the country and the government is focusing on allowing people to change their genders !! \nAnd the worst part is that a portion of the tax we pay from our hard earned money goes to the homeless people. Bro, I'm living in Vancouver from last year. Took 40 Lakhs of Loan for My MBA, chipped in money for fees. Till date I've got no benefit from Canada, except for bills and spending money on taxes and rent. This is damn true! - Work permits are getting queries, PR files are getting rejection. No job part time opportunities.\n\n1. Renting a room, especially for boys is the hardest if you are looking a private room. (my rent is 950$ for a private room, i struggle to pay this every month - without having a job)\n2. All banks want you to get enrolled as a student, then give credit cards, so you can easily buy things and pay them more and get you involved in the loop. \n3. I've applied in almost every job for part time, got rejection due to no available positions (Reasons : too many applicants)\n4. You are not gonna get a job in your field, unless you are into finance or IT with a found background.\n5. I DAILY SEE OUR PEOPLE ALSO GETTING ATTRACTED TO THIS CULTURE, SMOKING WEED ON A DAILY BASIS AND DOING MANY THINGS WHICH I FEEL STUDENTS MUST NOT DO. \n6. For my chest pain, they kept me waiting 4 hours in a line. Asked me that if i can stand and sit for a while then i must not worry. I was completely weak at that time, shivering and going through 101 fever.\n7. 75$ monthly for MSP insurance we pay as temporary residents -> still waiting for 4 hours to meet the doctor.\n8. Current situation of students is worse here, no opportunities for many students who come with hope, especially if they are coming for PGDM, or bachelors. I’m also from Canada, everything stated is very true. Education is not that great as compared to what fees we pay, think again before coming. Job currently isn’t available. Part time is also hard. In part time, you will earn to complete your housing and accommodation allowance but will not able to collect for your college fees. Just count it yourself, $17.5 per hour is minimum wage and for 24 hours per week. Also minus taxes from it. If you are planning somewhere near Toronto or Vancouver, please stay way. You can try going New Brunswick either. It’s cheaper as compared.\n\nHowever, did you notice something about all the commonwealth countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, etc etc. they all are facing the same problem. So, hold on your horses. Research before going. People do go different countries, might be Japan, and other countries. Don’t ask a barber if I need a haircut, similar don’t ask a consultant if I can go to Canada or Australia. They will always say Yes!

There are many government hospitals which give free treatment. Government is providing free rations and houses.\n\nPlus in Dental college one can get free treatment to some extent. \n\nOverall one cannot compare the facilities available in India with any other country.
