I was born in Quebec, moved to BC and then too Ontario. You should ask why so many of us left Quebec (the last place I would want to live ) why I left BC (most woke province ) and settled in Ontario. Come to Surrey BC! I've lived here all my life, and live about 7km's from the house I was brought home as a baby, so I've never left this city, and I, like that gentleman and lady you talked to, often feel like I am the only Caucasian in Surrey! Go by any elementary school, and you'd find it difficult to see any hair colour than straight black! Like when I went to school, so many now are driven to school by parents or grandparents that where brought over to Canada as well, so traffic around schools very often is chaotic at best! The once peaceful sound of birds singing, is now taken up with sirens, from ambulance and fire trucks, it's hideous! I too would love to move, but we keep asking, 'where'...as we'd like to be in an area with just caucasians, to feel 'at home' again! It's not that I don't like the people, but most in Surrey, are much more well off than the average Canadian, driving high end cars, and even their teenage kids have high end vehicles. So, like many Canadians, I'd just like to see normalcy & common sense once again, and a complete end to immigration, until ALL of our crisis's are taken care of!

As an Indian origin person, I can say those students who have come in the last decade have arrived on dubious grounds. They just ask for education consultants to send them to Canada to anywhere possible, thus they go to substandard colleges and do low demand courses, like global business, culinary skills, pastry making, short bookeeping courses. These lead to nothing in the job market. Plus, they hardly study are working at labour or low end jobs. Then resort to “copying” and boasting about it. These students are well aware of all of this and further exacerbate the immigration issue here.

interesting I live in the US, and we have the same problems here homelessness, drug overdoses, and high taxes, some states have higher taxes than others, home prices are skyrocketing, and no new homes are being built. no new low-income housing. The only native Canadians are not even Canadians but the Indigenous people that where here before you white immigrant colonizers came in uninvited and took over the land without even asking permission of the indigenous people. 90% of Canada is comprised of immigrants. You can blame the Canadian government for lack of long term foresight and planning. It they were steps ahead then we would not have all these issues with regards to increasing population. If they were thinking about the welfare of this nation, they would have built more infrastructures, affordable housing, hospitals, hired more people to reduce the amount of red tape in the government. Brampton is pure chaos not to be racist. People think it's multicultural but 80% of the residents are South Asian. Not very multicultural if you ask me. Brampton is not faring so well compared to other cities in the GTA such as Mississauga and Toronto. This sudden spike in Indian immigrants isn't just in Brampton but basically everywhere in Southern Ontario. Brampton just so happens to be where most South Asian individuals reside. These recent 20 years is where Canada saw much more immigrants originating from South Asia and the Caribbean. This same issue took place more than a century ago when Chinese immigrants migrated to Canada. Eventually, people will get used to the Indian population and it shouldn't be looked down upon. So sorry for this essay of mine, couldn't shorten my thoughts :)
