I am a finland National and i did my student exchange in Canada for 3 months 4years ago with Lots of indian students in my class,i honestly admire their hardworking and resilient spirit,i still have few them as friends,though i am back in Finland and employed,so also is my Indians friends they are employed in canada and paying taxes,I am just curious why Canada is targeting and don't want this group in Canada,maybe Canadians don't need more workers :)

Yeah Indian students come to Canada and empty food banks intended for Canadians, occupy rental houses needed for Canadian families, and take all service jobs making it hard for Canadian born students to find part time work.... They also get free services paif for by Canadian taxpayers for Canadian citizens... Canada gets ripped off by students of every race and nationality.... Canadians getting totally fed up. I have met a lot of Indians both good and bad. When you go to a store or somewhere you have this race of people who won't speak Canadian language, unless it's absolutely necessary. God forbid if you say to them they should speak English ior French in Canada, you are always called racist. When you hear of a murder of drug raid, it's almost always an Indian name. Hell, when you are cut off in traffic, well as you said in ithe beginning they look like you, not me. As I said at the first I have met and made friends with Indians, but it begins to piss you off, when there are so many. I am from India and been living in Canada for 18 years. I am living here with my family and I am so grateful to this country and respect the country and the freedom I have. The thing is homelessness is a fact that is coming from the most broken families. And here cannabis legal. I could see most white peoples don’t want to go to work, even there is enough work for them. And as a country to grow, they need youngsters for the workforce, but unfortunately Canadians people don’t have enough kids to support the country. And the kids are grown from the broken families maybe ending up in the streets. Indians are most of them only marry once and keep their marriage life till the end. So many divorce can ruin the life too. So the students coming here in Canada, how they get visa, Government don’t know that. We can’t blame them, because this is the offer they get from here. \nBut even though I am from India, I have enough from Indian people here in Canada. I always questioned the people from India either you guys respect the culture here or please go back. The reason I love Canada is Canadians are so pleasant and so helpful. Sorry to say that but Indians are very corrupt, they are trying to cheat any system or any rule. They are the ones behind all kinds of illegal implementations on: Immigration(selling jobs which is illegal), banking system(forging income documents to get high Mortgages from banks), cheating on documents(like fake school letter of acceptances or fake banking statements) and exams(offering to enter exams on behalf of others with a charge). These are not general considerations, I personally am in the know of all these examples myself and I am hearing many others. \nAdditionally they are disrupting the labor market by lowering life standards. To be specific, there are many indians, living 10-20 people in the same home, lowering their life costs, then going to businesses offering for a much lower salaries, hourly wages since their living costs are considerably low. This is not a fair competition, you can not expect people to live in barracks, just to be able to compete. this is disrupting social life.\nThe pooping and these kinds of senitary examples are just the icing on the cake. \n\nFinally, the indian community are not trying to come in to Canada and be a part of the community and the system, instead they are trying to turn this country into India, which they are running from in the first place. \n\nCanadians are nice yes, but any sound person should react accordingly if their kindness is abused. \nOfficial are needed to take actions on this, since I don't expect the Indian comm unity to behave.

Canada has to start recognising degrees from other countries. Here in B.C. we have emergency rooms closing overnight due to lack of staffing. We need doctors and nurses yet the barriers for those immigrating to get their degrees recognised mean many never qualify.\n\nCanada also needs to look at who we are admitting in and to terminate the family unification policy. When immigration was helping the country grow there was a different demographic coming in. Often it was single men or young married couples. As they came by themselves they assimilated into the mosiac of the country. When you concentrate on immigrants from one country instead of assimilating they setup ethnic communities. \n\nLook into what study groups have said that is contributing to gang violence. It's ethnic groups that have the grandparents, parents and grand kids all living in one home. The grandparents want the grand kids to adhere to their native culture. Unfortunately by time you get to the grand kids they are Canadian. They speak English/French depending where they live with little interest in speaking their ethnic language. There is cultural conflict within the home hence street life is where they find love and caring.\n\nSome cultures are not as community minded. Part of the high cost of renting/housing is based on greed not need. In my own community I know of apartment units now renting at 2,500 - 4,000/month owned by the same people that even five years back you could have rented for 500 - 800. There is no justification for that percentage of increase other than greed.\n\nJob opportunities. Summer employment for school kids is going down yearly. You see local business that use to hire students over the summer month claiming they can't find any workers. They bring in TFW yet Canadian students can't find work. You can tell the owners nationality of a business by the nationality of the workforce. A local store bought by a east Indian two years ago which at the time had a diverse workforce is now entirely staffed by east Indians. Yet who screams racist? \n\nCanada definitely needs to reconsider its immigration policy and bring in major changes.

I am an Indian and every day I see ads from Canadian universities promising me work visas and top quality education. I also get calls from agents time to time saying my alma matter is more than enough to land me a job there and they just need a certain amount of money to send me to canada with work permit without any college enrollment.

If you travel through Indian villages mainly in Punjab, Mumbai, Delhi and Southern states every KM you will see study/immigrate to Canada. They will tell you it is very easy as you need to spend only INR2.0Million( CAD 35K) to get there and balance you can work there as part time. Majority of Indians coming to Canada is from low income families who want to become middle class in India . High time Canada regulate its student intake and restrict only to selected universities and courses and stop allowing part time work. High skill immigration is still ok as they are coming based on their merit and point threshold and definitely contributing for Canadas economic growth. Student intake must be controlled .

As an Indian immigrant myself, I have tremendous sympathy for Canadians. \n\nThe so called diploma mills were always a danger but online classes during covid meant they could quadruple their attendance (and thus, their bottom line). The degrees offered by these colleges are worthless and that's why anyone who's moved to Canada in the last 4-5 years is finding it difficult to get meaningful employment.\n\nOn the other side, the Canadian dream really is sold as a cheaper and safer alternative to the American Dream. This is especially rampant in the state of Punjab where people from villages sell their ancestral property to move to Canada as students only to find the stalemate that is the job sector.\n\nThis in turn puts pressure on the economy, the housing market, and the welfare programmes. I think the immigration needs to halt for a while. A LOT of students are lacking in technical and linguistic skills to propel the Canadian economy and society forward and they'll need to not be given Permanent Residencies. PR should go to highly skilled immigrants who are integrating into the Canadian society instead of turning Brampton into mini India.

Back then, the immigrants were actual skilled workers and builders. Now they are all uber eats guys, or they live off the government. It's not even just in Brampton even 1 to 2 hours away immigrant and international students take all customer service jobs to the point that Canadians can barely get hired into these roles because we have expectations and rights that we worked for and I've seen these immigrants willing to work for less than legal minimum wage and they do not stand up for themselves or work towards having any shared rights. In addition many politicians on both sides of the aisle are rental landlords so only stand to profit from low rental vacancies and cramming as many people into a small space as possible. They've also cut funding to a lot of post-secondary institutions who rely on inflating tuition cost for international students. At my current role on a team of 15 people plus one manager there are only three white people, born and raised Canadians. The rest are all Indians including the manager and will frequently talk amongst themselves loudly in Punjabi while we're trying to serve customers in the English language. That's actually against policy but Canadians are so outnumbered by immigrants and specifically Indians in this place that it never gets enforced properly. I've never been anti-immigration but it's gotten so bad in Canada especially in places like Ontario that I'm now against it and will tell anyone regardless of their skin color to avoid immigrating here. I've been on a wait list for a doctor for over 11 years, I know people who have died from cancer due to delayed referrals due to long wait list for additional screening, it's insane and absolutely ridiculous especially considering the amount of taxes I currently pay and have paid my entire life as a born and raised Canadian.\n\nAlso it's absolutely true every single one is either taking or has taken post-secondary studies in business admin or management. We don't need more people in these fields we need Healthcare sector workers and not a single one that I've spoken with which again is quite a few studied anything related to medicine Healthcare nursing... not one.

Why are people leaving? BEcause in the last 7 years we made a huge mistake of letting in too many people and spent less time developing ourselves and infrastructure. Way too many came and got seated in the usual big cities where things are getting worse. Right now there is a gradually increasing anti-immigrant sentiment, especially towards East Indians, Bangladeshiis and Pakistanis, and there is a worry about having existing culture turning too Islamic and Hindu. So you can often hear some pretty racist things or read some pretty racist stuff online.\n\nThe problem isn't immigration. Immigrants are amazing and we need them, but our country didn't play the long game and let in too many too fast. Right now esp[ecially for Bangladeshiis and Indians, is that ,many are coming illegally and getting a REFUGEE status, paying their own to do this who work in lawyerships [and you shoudl see the scamming being done by Indian and Bangladeshi Canadians who are just taking their former countrymen for everything they are worth!]: Canada is like a person taking on too much all at once and then resenting its choices once it becomes responsible for them. Between bad decisions and some very seedy practices by immigrants coupled with the general greed to own land....and you have a modern crisis.

I was in Canada for 1.5 months and I can say them much better than India. They have flaws but compared to India they are not that major. Human life matters there a lot more than in India. We as Indian expect they should behave like India so that we will get any thing and do things the we are doing in India but we forgetting one thing we are in there country we need to adopt our self according to there standers. They might lack sometime in medical but native people have much better Health than Indians because since childhood we are taking tablet for any sickness.
