When Trump is put in office, he’s putting all of us at risk specially with China putting those tariffs Canada and Mexico have worked with us, but those other entities like North Korea, China, and other countries that don’t like us like Putin is.

People are acting like Mexico has no one else to look to if the US keeps pushing them like this. China is always ready to make strategic partners and they are already bypassing their own tariffs via Mexico through NAFTA.

Tariff exclusions is where the corruption will be. Favors and bribes will be the way it works.

Canada and Mexico have trade agreements with European countries and China. American companies and citizens will pay more for everything. Nice veggies from Mexico, +25% more. Construction lumber from Canada, +25%. Houses will cost more. Walmart is already the biggest purchaser of Chinese goods in the world. Tariffs on those as well? Plus 25%.

We need tariffs right now to slow down our spending and reduce inflation. The people have spoken. The Mexican government has failed its people by allowing the Cartels to fill their pockets with billions every year. \nMexico is also working with China to funnel Chinese goods through Mexico in an attempt to bypass tariffs and flood the American economy with cheap Chinese goods. In conclusion, Tariffs are affective because these greedy American and Foreign corporations use cheap labor to make cheap goods that they then sell for major profit. Tariffs tend to make these companies movie to America create American Jobs and pay higher American salaries which are a significant savings over tariffs. The companies lose considerable profits but they gain market share because they understand that when you raise the price of goods you only make the American alternative more appealing.

Even if American companies get exclusion for tariff exemptions, they will still raise prices on consumers using the tariffs excuses without revealing that they were granted exclusion.

First, they might fight back by adding their own tariffs on U.S. goods, which would hurt American farmers and businesses that sell products to those countries. Tariffs are an effective negotiation tool Trump used during his first term. Mexico does very little with cartels who run the border. They don't stop the trains and caravans coming through their country or enforce the stay-in-Mexico rule but...they will on Jan 20th, 2025.

Mexico has been imposing tariffs on Americans, and Mexican’s, for taking their cars over there for a long time. \n\nYou have to pay for a permit, along with a hefty deposit (depending on the vehicle year), to cross your vehicle into Mexico. You can cross into the border towns, but if you want to drive further in, you have to pay. \n\nThis is done to eliminate competition, instead of letting the market dictate the pricing. And if you don’t return your permit, you don’t get your deposit back and lose the ability to cross any vehicles for life. No, how is that fair?!\n\nAnd you STILL see Mexican nationals buying vehicles here, and just paying the hefty tariffs, just to legalize their American vehicles in Mexico. \n\nWe can just start there, and do the same thing to them. I don’t think they’d like that one bit.
