I wondered why the country felt so much better lately. I now realize that it is because you and a few other bellyachers have departed. Thanks, you have done us all a favour. The population in Canada is now over 40 million and gowning so it appears that there are some people who don't agree with you. I wish you would have taken a few thousand of those people who are constantly sneaking across the border into Canada with you, as we could certainly do without them. As for health care, it isn't perfect here in Canada, but I would certainly prefer what is available here rather than being one of the 32 million Americans who can't afford medical coverage and, if they suffer a catastrophic medical problem, end up losing everything they own trying and pay the bills and end up living on the street.

1. Canadians don’t call this their home! They move here, Work here, and send money “ home “ making them a detriment to our nation \n\n2. Look at the USA and how they are Americans with national pride! That is their home!! They care for it! And call them selfs Americans. If you compare this to Canada we have to many people who just want to escape where they come from and want to go back! This is not their home and they would go back to where they came from if they could! If Canada had a war and we gave they a way to go back to where they came from they would! No pride in our great nation is the real problem ? And the USA has pride and glory and their people call it home and take care of it! \n\nSo what we can take from this is that when you take a bunch of people from around the world and plop them into a place to work !!! It’s not their home nor do they respect it like it is! ? So we suffer

What will happen if that we keep the same government and their doodoo ideas is that the economy will crash and we would then become all americans cause Canada woukd cease to exist.

My Sister live in Canada now,but for me living in Canada is not Wise, because the cost of living this country is high,other law,and other. That's why in my Province in Dumaguete City Neg. It's all there. \n2. In the US and Canada, most of the hotels, gas stations, and liquor stores are owned by Indians. \n3. CEOs of the tech giants are Indian. \n4. Even UK Prime Minister is Indian. \n5. The winners of spelling bee competitions are Indian kids. \n6. Median family income among Indian Americans between the ages of 25 and 55 was $133,130 in 2019, well above the white median income of $86,400.\nWe don't care about people who could be judgemental. Yes, the accent is not important for anyone who wants to grow. No heartfeelings. I said this just to clear the vision of some people.

Canadians are far more critical of America than Americans are of Canada but that doesn’t mean We think Canada is better. Personally, I see far more benefits in the two Nations merging on 5 levels that can only serve us best. In my opinion, having lived in both Countries……Canadians need to get off their ‘high-horse’ and Americans need to learn more about our attic.

Behaving like a Canadian, a Western Hagemonist, or a white supremacist, or a KKK is the worst mistake in the rest of the world. If Canadians can't behave like decent civilized humans with a decent sense of human rights and manners, then never come out from your land. Also, being treated as Americans by foreigners is far better for Canadians since America besides Texas is much much better than ridiculously arrogant racist Canada.

I'm Canadian, we are best friends! As a Canadian we find it offensive that Americans can't find Canada on a map.... we certainly appreciate being protected by the USA military! If any country wants to invade Canada lol they better be prepared for the full American military might! We poke fun at each other and it's ok . Brothers and sisters.

It’s stupid to do a comparison with US. Canada had something special that no counties have. Especially in Vancouver, the environment and all the ppl fleeing from their chaotic countries. Competition is not the main thing in Canada. As long as their natural resources r not polluted, the attractiveness of moving to Canada never ended. Keep talking about US US US……. Ridiculous ? and don’t forget 1 thing, immigrants who move here, including the Americans, more than half is the elites from their own countries. As long as the gov doesn’t go corrupted like the PM now, this country it’s still one of the heaven for the upper class and the middle class around the world.

Trump is the solution. All you iiiiiidiot Americans who voted for Biden and were mocking the building of the wall by Trump should be ashamed of yourselves. The states and Canada need to stop opening up the country for all immigrants. Racism ?is everywhere! I went to a lot of the places you have said. Some of these Black places don’t like Black Americans as well. I live in Canada ?? but I know that there is no “Perfect Place”.

I have a back friend in Canada. She always said she prefers Canadian racism to American racism because at least with Canadian racism you get universal \nhealthcare.

Sadly, this is nothing new. Canada has always been discriminatory towards African Americans. I have experienced it myself many years ago and Im sure its only gotten worse. Racism is prevlent all over sadly and I dont see things changing for the better.

Canada desperately needs American investment and technology especially in there natural resource sector. They will go a long way to funding your socialist policies.

I forgot to mention, I don’t know if this is important to anybody, but Canada is unable to protect itself from invasion because they only have 8000 people in their national garden Coast Guard, which is why Canada relies very heavily on the United States and Norrad to protect it. I think every Canadian and every American should read Diane Francis book called the merger of the century. She’s a Canadian American professor, who wrote this fantastic book about why the two countries really should merge militaries certain aspects of customs and immigration and rule of law, as well as corporate law and economic markets.

The average American is better off as far as salary goes but the median American is very much worse off. You touched on it with the GINI - in America there are a large number of very wealthy people skewing all economic indicators. The rich get richer while the poor get poorer. I do not want Canada to follow this route, it is OK if we don't maximize output because we take care of our people better.

People think that Canada is racism free utopia and its not. People always want to talk about the US. And yes the US has a long way to go,but at least it's vocal. My mom used to say let me know right off the bat that you don't like me,don't be sneaky with it. Canada,the UK and western Europe always try to say that racism is an American problem. Americans are just more vocal with it. And if anyone is inclined to Google,just look up the food inequality that Canada has with their northern neighbors,the people of Nunavut.

At the end of the day I think Canada and the US share a lot of common ground in a lot of areas. \nThe major difference in my eyes between Canada and the US is the competitiveness of each economy. The US is far more competitive and innovative than Canada. Canadians are more risk averse and seem to want to work for the government or a big company whereas Americans are more confident in themselves and would prefer to work for themselves and try to start a business for themselves - and importantly - want to have it become a large business. \nAs a Canadian I wish I would have moved down to the States and tried it out when I was younger. I'm too old to move there now... \nCanada still isn't a bad place but it is nowhere near as prosperous for the average person, or I should say the average worker, as it used to be. And Canada's economy seems to be deteriorating rapidly and being usurped by newly developing countries whereas the economic future of the US seems brighter due to the powerful innovation in the US. However the social situation in the US seems to be deteriorating more so than in Canada.

I would like to pray for my brothers and sisters in the u.s I could not imagine what it would be like living in u.s as a African American let alone where I am living in Canada ?

Etown sucks! Try Calgary it's way better than Edmonton. Sorry to inform you girl but racism is real and is everywhere in North America! Being black in Canada or the USA is alot easier than being native American. I'm on your side but the reality is the indigenous peoples of North America have it worse than black people. Racism is a reality of life because white people have been taught that they are superior since birth and even if they are not taught that their white privilege eventually shows through.

Canada was founded on white supremacy (the theft of Native American land and the enslavement of Africans) just like the USA, so it should be no wonder that Canada is full of white supremacists.

American here who spent three glorious years in Canada (Montréal) for university. I fell in love with the country and have visited all ten provinces and one territory. I desperately wanted to stay in Canada and was so emotional that I literally cried when my student visa expired and I had to return to the States. Fast forward 40 years, I've had a pretty good life here in the States and was able to retire comfortably at 55. I hesitated to watch this video because I thought it would make me feel bad about my situation, but I think it (and the comments) actually made me feel OK with how my life turned out. I now realize that no place is perfect -- not even Canada.

So basically American blacks would feel right at home in Canada.

I was hoping that Canada would be a safe haven for Black people. I thought that Canada was genuinely liberal in a way that nowhere in the United States is. There is the image of Canadians as low key, down to Earth, inoffensive, unimposing, friendly, helpful. I guess that was just a myth. Canadians don't like Americans coming up there for work and, Black Americans are also Americans.

Canada is worst than USA. I am a black American who has been to multiple Continents and USA is the best place to live. And I lived in African nations and tribal racism is worst than USA. They wipe each other completely out.

As a Canadian I'd just like to say, she's so wrong. Africans love Canada, and we love them. Now, African Americans, thats a tricky one. Its not about the colour of ur skin, its about attitudes. 90% of the time when dealing with African Americans, u can tell their waiting and looking for racism, get upset when they dont find it. The victim mentality is a real turn off. Again, go ask some Africans about life in Canada, i bet u get more positive than negative. The American black culture is the problem for most people, in most places, including America itself. No doubt there is racism in most countries in the west including an amazing country like Canada or even Australia, but they aren't as horrible as in Asia or the middle east ?\nIf it's equally worse, those African immigrants doing well for themselves here won't be coming in large numbers. Black americans are just so dramatic and love to play the victims all their lives while blaming the whites for their problems and failures. You should head places like china, japan, malaysia, indonesia and live there for a little while and see what racism is like.

Not that many people in the developed world are shopping for an alternative country. So I imagine most Americans and most Canadians will be content with their nation of birth. But as a Canadian, I have to admit I'm a bit scared of the US. The level of violent crime down there is such that _many_ (not all) people feel they need guns for personal security. American prison rates testify to a level of desperation and alienation that is _not_ appealing to me. I don't want to live somewhere where owning a deadly weapon seems like a sensible idea! Also, as a struggling creative/entertainment person, I can't guarantee I'll be consistently earning good money – there are plenty of lean times in my biz. I don't want to be repeatedly worrying about my health coverage disappearing, whenever work dries up. I've never had that type of anxiety in Canada, and I sure appreciate that. Btw, although the Canadian health system is a long way from perfect, I've always managed to get appropriate care, according to my needs, quickly enough, at no cost to myself. And currently, I really like my GP _and_ my specialists!

European countries are the sizes of states, and they have the European Union to cross govern.\n\nAmerica does not have a relationship with Canada or Mexico like any of the EU countries.\n\nWe cannot be letting this happen. I feel for the people suffering in Mexico, I truly do. Hold on now I will agree white Canadians are passive aggressive (sneaky) she called it but as a black American who has lived and worked for 28 plus years in Canada (Ontario) Alberta is the Texas of Canada so hill Billys rednecks not the most sophisticated people in the country I’ve never felt discriminated against and have always found great employment here . As a person of Colour in a mostly white country it’s not realistic to not expect some bigoted white peoples it’s just not, their the majority so their always going to be that way. But overall I never feel unsafe here in Ontario very diverse area lots of Muslims, asians, native Americans Africans and tons of Carribeans from all over the West Indies . It’s a problem white people struggle with but compared to my home country I prefer Canada, here you’ve got a chance where back in the states it’s literally dangerous to be too dark of different, sorry for her experience leave Alberta come to Ontario, you’ve got a safe home here.

I’ve said once and I’ll say it again, if white ppl in Canada had the access to guns the way white Americans do we would have the same problems. All of these points are subjective. I think the point system you used and the subjects you talked about are biased. I would have given the USA a point for innovation and job opportunity. There is more opportunities, because more companies choose the USA. We have a higher population so even thought there is more job opportunities in the USA, it is also very competitive. Your video gave a point to Canada for vacation and maternity leave rather than innovation and job opportunities. A lawyer in the USA has a better chance of practicing law than a Canadian lawyer. You gave a point to Canada for healthcare because of life expectancy. However I’d still give a point to the USA for healthcare. The life expectancy is a separate subject. The life expectancy is lower in the USA because of what we eat here. I would give a point to Canada for healthier food. In the USA fatty diet with sugary sweets is common here.\n\nThe video was really pros and cons for liberals. As an American, I could make a list that is biased towards the USA. There are racists every where in the world its a sad but true fact. Western Canada in particularly has this problem within Canada. Alberta where she is located has a significant MAGA type presence of ignorant white supremacist and separatist types. They don't even like other white Canadians from other parts of the country. Canada as a whole though is far better than the US when it comes to acceptance of other cultures. As a Canadian I am sorry for this woman's familys experience, ignorance is not an exclusively American thing.

I remember that after the American Revolution, the Africans (Blacks) who fought on the side of the British (Loyalists) were sent to Canada to escape slavery and as a reward for having fought. We have been in Canada for more than 240 years. Shame that it's still going on.

Here in Canada is this image of peaceful country who back in 19th century help African Americans to escape from slavery but do not mention that much that Canada also had more then 1000 African slaves by 18th century. Canada is consider as muticulture nation but still African Canadians do not have same equal justice as with white people.

As a black woman who is born and raise in Canada, Quebec (Montréal area), I can confirm what she said. It’s not only in Edmonton, Alberta. It’s all over the country! The only difference between USA and Canada is that Americans recognize there was slavery throughout the history. Canada completely erased the slavery part as if there was no black slaves and etc.
