The problem is that often times due to religious practices, a lot of people from minority communities are targeted and have to undergo a lot of scruitiny. Sikhs are amongst the most kind and generous people in the world, apart from being brave, sure this world makes a joke out of them but it is important for people to understand that our religion is important to us, we do follow the rules and regulations laid down by the country but others too have to respect who we are and where we come from, it might seem odd to carry around a kirpan but then again that is no reason to violate someone like this, or their religion's sancitity.

Life is what you make it. Canada, like anywhere else in the world, has its strengths and weaknesses. IMHO, your life mission should drive your choice of where to live or settle. If you are blessed enough to find your life purpose and live it, location-based disadvantages wouldn't matter that much as you would be preoccupied with thoughts about what you are called to bring to the world - and less about what goodies your surroundings can offer you. \n\nPosition yourself where conditions are suitable for the impact you are uniquely designed to make. Seeking maximum comfort or a perfect place (which does not exist) are not pursuits that set you up to live you best life.

Yup I'm Canadian and used to be proud. But Canada has gone to shit in the last 20 years. I will eventually be moving my family out of Canada. You cannot retire here. Cost of living is so high they will keep you working until you die. They do not care about you. Health care in Canada IS NOT FREE. Biggest lie they tell the world.

I Was born in Canada and I agree and disagree with some points you've mentioned. How can you come to Canada and not expect to wear a jacket ? lol... The price of living is going up all over the world, the last 6yrs has become very pricey in all western countries. Hospitals are overrun in major cities in Canada that's very true, but not in smaller locations. Boring (are you crazy ? lolol) I completely disagree. You just don't know where to go lol ... however everything you do in Canada cost money ?. And I completely agree when you mention that Canada won't allow you to become filthy rich (very disappointed about that one) ... There is racism, but not just from the predominant Canadians. There have been many times when the racism is from someone new to Canada. But i also know as a black person i will experience this anywhere in the world. (They're portraying what they normally would towards me while in there own countries) ... anyway nice post, it's nice to hear what it's like from your perspective. Immigrants, especially Africans usually stay in megalopoles, these big cities like Paris, New York... But local people tend to move out to the countryside, where things are still more affordable. Why? Because that's what these locations are designed for, to attract the workforce from around the world, and keep the machine running, while the real benefits go to the local monarchs and local middle class who leaves those places. So of course, they don't expect you to come to their country, do so well, and take over. People need to be smarter with all this and learn to understand systems and megastructures, rather than small bits and pieces. The whole picture.

Canada is fine but you're basically correct. It's fantastic for mousey types who want security and sameness, but if you are looking for adventure, crackle and opportunity, it's a dead end. I lived in the USA for many years and it is like night and day. You feel like you are building the future. If you don't want to work , there's new people who'd come for it. I have lived my life here (I’m a senior) - it is difficult for most people that are here to get started in the working world and the fewer connections you have and wealth your family has, the tougher it is - so people coming from elsewhere it would be really tough! Very few connections and very unlikely you have family wealth to lean on. With the weather here you can just ‘bum’ around…if you live in a tent while you are figuring things out or you’ll freeze to death! Like when my grandparents came from Ireland and Scotland, it took them working very hard their whole lives to get a foothold, then things were better for their kids.

What you doing have is your private insurance company denying you coverage and you have to refer to them every time when you need a particular blood test done. I can have my patients have MRIs or CT scans within 2 days if they need is there a giant . What you need is Doctor Patient Advocates. Great content . Well , Can you tell me a country we’re you have lots of millionaires? None . Only in Africa . And the reason isn’t far fetching. Two vacation and the employer also tells you you can't go in summer because the summer is peak season and you can't take two weeks together too. And just for your info US is not Black friendly. And most of people who come here are from third world and poor countries. And for them Canada is heaven. Do you think people from developed countries would come here no.
