Makes me so sad ? if Canada is like this, why do some people risk themselves just to get in here? I don't get it.

Good for you. We left Canada in 2011, wishing we had left earlier. Moved to NYC then California, maybe Texas next. I came back for a visit in March, could not believe the Covid rules. About the drinking, loved downtown Georgetown TX, you can get a traveller and walk around town and people are happy and friendly

I’m a citizen with dual PG and live in USA. Initially there were many hurdles like lack of Canadian experience but I got over the problem. After 10 years of living like a homeless person in Toronto, I spent a lot of money and did my second masters (MBA) only to realize that all those stories were BS. There are no jobs in Canada. Now it’s 20+ years since I first migrated to Toronto. I still can’t get a proper job in Toronto.

Trust me I’m a Canadian Citizen I’m moving out from Canada. Life in Canada is not easy nor happy life as you thought especially for those whom come with nothing it will be very hard and will be struggling to make the end needs . Even though I’m a working middle class I’m still struggling and the system benefit it’s not as the world sees In perceptions . Enough see you USA much better more opportunities ???????

Go back to school? WTF?! Some ppl already come to Canada already licensed in their area of specialty with more than 20 years of experience in their given profession. Only difference is their years of experience was performed in a different country. The least Canadian employers can do is give some credit for that. This is all a bunch of bureaucracy BS. This just goes all the way back to CRT. How can local Canadians possibly value diversity when in the first place they can’t even be open minded and respectful of the foreign cultures of others? We don’t disregard that here in the U.S.

I had a friend from England that was a firefighter oh, and he applied to be a firefighter in Canada because it was on the list. The list of needed people for jobs in Canada. When he got here he could not find a job, there was no job openings for firefighters in Canada. He ended up moving back to England because he could not find a job in his designated vocation, even though he did working other jobs.

I'm so lucky I've got dual citizenship Canadian and British passports so after living in Canada for 10 years I decided to move back to the UK ?? to settle down with my wife and my beautiful kids. One thing I hated about Canada was the weather, public transport, lack of fashion and the foods was horrible. My step-sister lives in Whitehorse and claims to love it there, so much so that she barely comes back to Ontario. I guess it just depends on the person. As for me, after having lived overseas for a couple of years in the UK, I can honestly say that there's just no place like home. So stop whining and be polite to our guests. the government should be building towns on our North shore so we can start selling our resources and Canada could b e a very wealthy country. I’m from Canada and I’ve been to Quebec twice. And I’ll tell you if you don’t speak French in quite a few places they will ignore you. Even in Quebec eight divided there’s a French speaking areas and then there’s English-speaking areas. Canadians rate it has the least friendliest province.
