I left Canada to have a better life overseas some years ago, and I'm very happy with my life now. I grew up in Toronto and moved to Vancouver with my family later on, but neither places had weather conditions we wanted. Toronto winter is too long and Vancouver has depressing non-stop rain for six months. On top of all that, everything there got way too expensive to live and everything is too slow... Did I mention endless road constructions everywhere since forever ago? Well, some of us tried very hard to stay but sometimes migrating can help. \nCanada is definitely a beautiful country, but beauty isn't what makes our lives happy in reality.

Ask people who came here due to the war in their country or very poor country due to financial reasons. I don't understand people came here from wealthy countries and settled since very long long time why?

I agree with all the points, but this situation is not only in Canada but everywhere. I will start from my home country India, Since graduation I was working as a part time teacher and I deadly love that profession. To qualify myself I did so many courses, internships, attended workshops, completed my B.Ed and M.Ed but everything went vain when I started searching a job. The amount of hardwork I did was not at all recognizable, salaries were so low but still I worked thinking may be later I will get an opportunity but to a disappointment it never happen. Later, I moved to UAE thinking maybe here atleast I will get what I expected, struggled for 5 months to get a job luckily I was on a family visa. I lowered my expectations, ready to work on the lowest salary but still I did no job. Finally I decided to go back to my home country but was still applying for the jobs thinking to not loose hope till the date of my flight and believe me the next day I got a call and got selected the same day with an average package not the lowest but still I was happy. So I think difficulties are everywhere it depends on how you are dealing with them and mostly being positive is the main key for success. Even I am deciding to immigrate Canada, have many friends their who are happy with their lives but it doesn't mean I should keep my hopes high but the best thing I can do is accepting whatever is coming to me and being grateful of whatever I have. (BTW teachers are underrated everywhere)

canada is great country to immigrate if you come from money. and your family can comfortably bankroll your stay there. but if you are going too canada thinking you'll make money, well lets just say you will be brutalised by life there. the best time to move to canada is whn doing an undergraduate degree since you get to start from the bottom in matters of work experience and build the social networks along the years. it is sad to hear cab drivers in canada most who are immigrants were doctors, some even surgeons back in their home country

These investigations only serve to show non POC that this is a problem. For people of color this is something we unfortunately learn about since childhood

What I came to realize in life is that people don’t really like you, they like your talent/skills. take your time to be skilled in something and people will hunt down your skills. this applies mostly to all people based on statistics. if you are white and you ain’t skilled, you will be fired. as simple as that. businesses want to make money. so if you are black and you have what it takes, businesses will hunt you down since they will realize that they need your skills. I have learned that from Thomas Sowell and it has freed my mind as a young black man. I am a scientist ( I aspire to be the best one ) and I have started to reap what I sow. stop trying to make people feel sorry for you. work hard, get skills that are needed in the society and the rest will take care of itself. I came here in Canada 12 years ago and got 4 professional job offers I choose one and moved to Windsor since then I am here in the same company and our company paid one million dollar to Islamic organization London after this incident , I never ever faced racism especially based on Islam even in ramdhan our company allows us to work flexible hours .... And respect our Halal food when there are parties arranged by company and my parents got immigration too ..so our family is reunited here ... Where by while working in Kuwait for 10 years and it was difficult to get family visa for wife even having a management position in a bank...

I got my education upto F.Sc., due to separation in parents i had started to do jobs and still in struggle to make my kids educated. When you disclose the reality about difference between two countries please think 1% or may be sum bit, people like me feel that they are failed by the word KISMAT and you understand who make Kismat. I feel heavy heart while i had struggled for better but never got success just because i am from those who are really poor and more over belongs to a community which never been stoped to be discriminated. I am very much upset in trying to be truthful just to see most of whom had a corrupt money or ethic they get success and rate it by adding that Pakistan left no values nor else what. Really a very needed discussion. Sir! it would be really nice if you can please let us know what if someone is coming from abroad after getting PhD? Does he still need to do odd jobs since that education is recognized and accredited by Canadian Higher Education?? Secondly, one main question is about INTEREST. Since it is prohibited in ISLAM, so what usually one do if he doesn't want to pay the interest on the debts?? Is there any way to get oneself save from this INTEREST things??

I do have one query though - I have had a company of my own for the past 10 years (a film production company) in which I have been a managing director and also worked as a writer, director, producer etc. Since this isn't a traditional job with a regular salary, would it be ineligible as work experience under CRS? Would it be considered as being self-employed?

I submitted my file on my own, although i was sceptical earlier but when i contacted few agents and enquired about their fees, I decided to apply on my own. Luckily i was able to complete the documentation in time. Its been two months since i have submitted my profile, now waiting for a decision. Just agree with video, all the information in available online, no need to go to agents, they charge too much and dont have much knowledge either.
