My parents came to Canada as teenagers, and they are non-European immigrants. The kindest and most compassionate people Ive ever met and im not saying that because im their son but because its true, im nothing like them anymore. Being born and raised in Canada I have NEVER felt like this is my home or that I belong/am welcomed here.

I don't really understand one of experiences during my visit in Canada, I am a HongKonger and one time when I was visiting Toronto, some people with different ethnic background made a comment on my English, they said my English was good. But the fact that there are tons of Chinese/Hong Kong looking people living Toronto who speak perfect English or better than me. I really don't get this, those people who made comment are Indian, Russian, even Canadian born Chinese, they didn't even know I was just a visitor. I don't know much about the standard/definition of racism in Canada, is this incidence considered some kind of racism/stereotype? I am humbly asking for your perspectives on this.

When do you think discrimination for an individual, Homo sapien begins?\n\n\nI believe discrimination may begin at birth with the statement of “It’s a boy or it’s a girl.” Gender identity is not always (100%) one or the other. There are case studies of the presence of both genitalia for a single baby. Then again, there are case studies of conjoined babies/infants. In 100% of the births there is cognitive evidence that a baby/infant was born.\n\nDoes that require us to remove categories of identification from our communication? I believe not. To mandate identity removal, in my opinion, gives authority outside of the individual and abdicates trust of one’s self in the ability to make individual decision and places authority in another fallible, human entity to make decisions of civil behavior that is in conflict with the individual spirit of what is good or evil. Even government employs the individual cognition, encouragement, and use of the human spirit to survive at the core. So, to advocate human spirit abdication fosters an inability to reason between good and evil. I am unwilling to admit that I am unable to reason.\n\nSimilarly, in performance of the social experiments, there’s missing clarity in being able to know what is in the mind of store representatives to want to assist the public with the decision-making process of a purchase versus profiling. Because, the flip-side is to avoid a person because of profiling. The belief of innocent until proven, not presumed guilty, is significant to maintaining civility.

I am very familiar with the “name discrimination “; although I am white and very European-having been born and Educated in Eastern Europe-I have had resumees ignored, or dismissed despite my qualifications, simply because the HR person could not read (or spell) anything beyond one or two syllables! Alot of the women fruends

It happens in every country of the world. It's the indoctrination born from the public and social media, of the stereo typing people according to skin color, culture, dress and monetary value. You never going to shake it until they stop portraying it in movies. That includes every action that people react to on social media. How people react to it will often be classed under the same influence peers have on our young teenagers.

No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite

I am a male white man . I am 57 years old . I was born in Canada . At a store that I was shopping at , 2 employees showed up within 2 minutes and was watching me from a distance of 15 feet from me while I was looking at wallet's . I felt a tingling feeling at the back of my neck . I had a difficult time to figure out what wallet that I was going to buy . I was there between 15 - 20 minutes . Both of them stayed near me , watching me until a found the right wallet to buy . I bought the wallet . To me that was wrong for both of them to do that because neither of them approached me and asked if I needed any help .

I am a powerful woman raised by my grandparents and my parents in an amazing family. I identify myself as a woman of colour, amazing colour, it embraces me and reflects back my beauty for all around me to see. We were given every opportunity to explore the world where we lived and had passion for reading books, I was encouraged to explore so much of the world and ideologies. Issues of racism existed around me and this was unquestionable, but we had a safe place in a family with committed parents to develop and make our mark on the world. How refreshing to explore the world from a safe place and our parents especially my father encouraged us to mix with people of all cultures, because he firmly believed and I also believe there is only one race, the human race. We look different on the outside but let’s enjoy the fact that God made of one flesh all people. So, impressed with my amazing grandparents and parents... I love myself and I love the world that we live in, even though everyone is not perfect, we are are amazing. I was born in Jamaica, raised in England, UK, and now live in Canada.

At least two more differences between the US and Canada (I'm a Montrealer myself with American-born parents):\n\n1) When going to the different parts of Canada, they feel that much more different from each other (in the buildings, highway signs, etc.) than the different parts of the US. For example, British Columbia feels like a foreign country compared to not just Quebec (the most obviously different province in Canada) but also compared to Nova Scotia or Manitoba, whereas Washington state or Minnesota is less different than Pennsylvania or Massachusetts.\n\n2) Native Americans (or First Nations, as they're called in Canada) make up a way higher proportion of the Canadian than American population, though less so percentage-wise in Montreal or Toronto or even Quebec City, and they are thus much more in the consciousness of the average Canadian than the average American.

Drew I’m surprised you didn’t talk about the diversity in Canada where I am from in Canada it seems there are more people that came from third world countries than people born in Canada

I'm an American-born Asian and Canada has some nice people. My first encounter was with a Canadian who draws good art and my second encounter was with another with a more active Discord server than mine.

I was born and raised in the US but I have been going to Canada for my entire life. I live here now because of college and I love the US a little more because that was home. But where I live in Toronto, is pretty diverse. Canadians are nicer but so are Americans but are more racist down south. Canada's government is led by a real leader but the States is led by an idiotic annoying orange.

I find it very depressing that the history of black people seem incomplete, without reference to slavery.....but most nowadays African Americans, don't know much about slavery......and it should be understood that most Africans were born free, they were never slaves.\n How can we bring more dignity to the black person abroad......seeing that the immediate reaction of being reminded of slavery is racism.\nI would like to hear a renewed rhetoric that identifies the years of slavery in speeches. It packages things.

Listen up sinners. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is for all humans. However, Creator God who is Jesus Christ in the flesh created hell for the defeated Lucifer Satan, and other fallen angels. If you are a Muslim; you are not worshiping Creator God, but Satan. Your Quran mentions this: Quran 1: 1 The praise be to Allah, the lord of the worlds. The Bible states in Corinthians 4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. When you bow down to the black Kaaba stone at Mecca; you are not giving glory to Creator God who is Jesus Christ in the flesh. You are giving honor to the defeated Lucifer/Satan who comes to rob, kill, and destroy. Creator God has a Son by which you can come and be saved from sin, death and the grave. You must renounce Allah who is Satan and acceptJesus Christ is Savior/ Lord. Jesus Christ died on the cross to pay our sin debt. Jesus Christ has risen from the dead and is alive and well. His shed blood He carried back to the Holy of Holies in Heaven. Creator God has accepted His sacrifice. The blood of Jesus is what cleanses you and enables you to have a personal relationship with your Creator. 1 John 2: 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also. All humans must be born again, because we were born with a fallen nature(natural children of Satan's), John 3:1-17. Qur'an 3: 54—And they (the unbelievers) planned to deceive, and Allah planned to deceive (the unbelievers), and Allah is the best of deceivers. Qur'an 8: 30—And (remember) when the unbelievers plotted deception against you (O Muhammad), to imprison you, or kill you, or expel you. They plotted deception, but Allah also plotted deception; and Allah is the best of deceivers. Jesus says in John 8: 44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it. Repent sinners. Jesus Christ is Lord. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pbwa3Y9VuXc&fbclid=IwAR0GoWC0GtCsbZe3kkx0UG0YPuT23F88vIUDAMnEJ-YN8c3KFepgUnrC_ro. https://jesus-is-lord.com/hellreal.htm.

*As a minority born and raised in Vancouver I bought my own home by not wasting time complaining about the government regardless of which party is in power.* *I’m the store manager of the largest Canadian owned grocery store.* *Many Immigrants come to Canada and in 5-7 years after working are able to buy a home.* *Yet Canadian born white people can’t afford to buy a home because they spend all their time complaining about the government.*

I wish the United States would face this issue. I've been attacked in a store for unfair, and unfounded suspension. I am treated differently in no less than 75% of stores I go into. The employees stare me down, follow me... I'm going to start filming these people. It's not fair to be harrassed for S.W.B. It's sad, I was born this color, yet I am less than, or just plain bad before I even speak, or act in the minds of many, especially law enforcement. It's sad. It's depressing. It makes everything in life that I do in public, down to using the bathroom, getting to know new people, applying for work, buying food, or just walking down any street, so much harder. Like the world is mad I exist, and the people want me to go away.

By seeing that video I could tell the United-States of America has becomed a very disturbance and dangerous if you are foreigner born and you came to live in USA you will confront racism by some demented white people in America, anytime racism takes place the judiciary rulling has right to prosecute any individual who profiling this kind of behavior against humanity weather they are Blacks, Latinos... eventually African Americans and Latinos are being victims everyday in this country, so the judiciary system need to condemne any body very severly someone who hurt a civilians in the United-States soil even though he/she American Citizens or not because there are lot of tourists who come to visit USA. So Guys ne carefull.

Anti women = Hinduism which burnt women (suttee) if she's widowed or threw them in milk or if she's born a 50 years ago.\nOn the other hand islam is only Religion which gives women right to vote, elect , become politics, rode camels and horses 1400 years ago (when no body rode), have equal status in house etc and last message of islam was 'best of you is the one who is best to women'.\nAnd I'm sure most muslim women don't wear headscarves in canada

Humans we have external and internal bias (race bias is one of many bias we have). Trying to eliminate any internal bias is impossible unless you're born and raised in a controlled lab till adult. Realistically, we can only hope to minimize the external ones.

Yes words hurt but honestly better then having milk shakes with possible corrosive material in them thrown and you for being a republican. Or for that matter having a different opinion. It only matters when it’s your beliefs that are attacked by words.\n\nI am not saying it’s ok, it’s not but any other country in the world and words would only be the beginning.\n\nDo you think people who come to the west looking for a better life do not know there are people who are afraid? Ok it seems the outraged are the people born in Canada and do not understand what real hate and suffering is...

We need to have a little bit of compassion for Muslims who are struggling with this. Imagine that you were born into Islam. You didn't ask for it. You just happened to be unlucky enough to be born into a Muslim country and raised under it. It's not their fault that they believe what they believe. \nWe need to help them to free them from the chains of Islam. The way to help them and free them from Islam is by educating them with the truth. It's difficult for them to accept because they have devoted their entire life to it. It's also quite a shock when they see all of the errors in the Quran which is supposed to be the pure word of an all-powerful and all-knowing God. Then they see things like- the sun revolves around the earth and sets in a pool of muddy water. It's like somebody telling you that your dear friend has been lying to you for the last 50 years of your life. You just can't believe it. You don't want to believe. You defend your friend, you love your friend. \n\nSo instead of insulting these poor Muslim people try helping them by suggesting that they read the Koran cover to cover from beginning to end. Then they will see for themselves that this 7th century book conflicts with modern scientific and historical knowledge. That's when they will realize that Muhammad invented the entire thing so that people would obey him and treat him like a god on Earth. That's when they will realize that he was a 7th century man who knew nothing about the scientific knowledge that we have now in this century. That's when they will realize that the Quran is filled with threats of punishment and violence for not believing and not obeying the supposed word of God given to them by Muhammad. Muhammad put harsh punishments in it so that they would submit out of fear. This is why Islam is so violent. \n\nTo our Muslim friends in humanity. I'm so sorry that you were lied to. So sorry that you wasted much of your life devoting it to Islam. I'm so grateful to those of you who have not followed the violence of Islam commanded in the Quran. But now you are free with the truth. Go and live your life in Peace and freedom. Love your fellow humans and help your fellow humans. Try to spread the truth to other Muslims and help them. Follow the example of apostate prophet who is trying to help Muslims with his you tube videos.\n I urge all Muslims to read the entire Quran. Don't let non-muslims like me know more about the Quran than you do. If you don't think that the scientific facts conflict with the Koran, then read the entire Quran and look up the scientific facts. If you really search for the truth you will find it.

Does criticism of Islam amount to racism? Why is it OK criticize communism, nazism and other supremacist ideologies, but as soon as you attach the word divine to the same ideas, then they're off limit? I am Iranian. I was born in a Muslim family. I have been educated in Islam and experienced Islamic, sharia based rule for most of my life. And I have the same concerns as this man. Islam is a brutal supremacist ideology that is incompatible with critical thought, personal freedoms, democracy, rule of law and pretty much everything else that we take for granted in the modern world, that came out of Western Enlightenment. Once muslims become the majority, they will do the same thing as they have done everywhere else where they've taken control. Look at what they're doing in England and France in Majority Muslim areas. Look around the world today and see what Islam leads to. You will put your head in the sand at your own peril. I left my home in my own beautiful and ancient country. I will not do it again in my new home...

Racism has always been in Canada, dont be fooled. It may not be as prevalent as in other countries but racism is in fact here in Canada, I grew up here, Im a black born Canadian and dealt with it all my life. Mostly just taunting and name calling but one thing is certain, wherever you find white people you will find a lot of ignorance and even the good ones seem to always be a step or 2 away from a racist rant when they agitated. As long as they don't get violent with non whites then I guess we can deal with the slander and name calling. As a person with a darker hue, you will always be looked at like you are an Alien to them.
